My husband and I stayed at the Fife and Drum Inn about a little over a year ago, and we loved it! It is located in Colonial Williamsburg right above Aroma's cafe and a few other little shops. It is also within walking distance of Duke of Gloucester Street. The staff were very friendly, and the room we stayed in was awesome!

The Fife & Drum is steeped in rich history and traditional Southern hospitality, yet at the same time, no modern convenience is overlooked. An antique door stands proudly beside a color television set. Hand painted hardwood floors cradle inviting king sized beds. Peek inside a rustic looking armoire, and youll discover a set of matching plush spa robes.

The common room, where breakfast is served daily, boasts a comfortable couch, a T.V, a wooden checkers set, playing cards, CDs and movies for guests to borrow, a fireplace, and a snack bar. When you visit the Inn, be sure to sample the delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies, and the beverage service at the snack bar which includes tea, lemonade, cider, and more! All of these goodies are included in the cost of your stay, and all of it adds up to make the guest feel pampered and cared for.

Following a relaxing nights sleep in our glorious suite (I wish I could have a room like that in my house!) my husband and I awoke the next morning to the pleasant aroma of brewing coffee and breakfast delicacies. We wandered down to the common area, and found cheery looking tables for two set up for the guests to enjoy. The room can accommodate up to 20 diners! Each table was topped with Williamsburg Blue place settings and a pretty vase of fresh cut flowers. The breakfast buffet was loaded with scrumptious casseroles, fruit, ham biscuits, cereal, orange juice and milk.

You might think you have seen Williamsburg but trust me, you haven't really experienced it until you've accessed this venue. We've been coming here for many years, but it wasn't until we stayed at this Inn that we really connected with what is special about Williamsburg. Watching fireworks from our unique perspective (our own balcony!) and celebrating the patriotic holiday with local families, including members from the Colonial Williamsburg Fife and Drum Corps, it was a holiday we won't soon forget!

Pros: accomodations, room quality, personalized staff

Message from Fife and Drum Inn

Billy and Sharon were both born and raised in Williamsburg. They have owned and operated a number of different kinds of businesses and have been civically involved in the community. They are most proud of their 4 beautiful children.
