Hancock Fabrics

Just spent another great afternoon at this store -- Yes I mean an afternoon. Love it there. The staff are always so very helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to assist you. I enjoy looking at all the fabric,notions, etc.and getting good prices. I especially like the sharing of present projects with the staff and picking up suggestions for new ones (or easier ways to do present ones!) I would definitely recommend them.

I visited two of these locations recently and although its large with a lot of selection the stores are very nasty! Dirty floors, dirty windows, dirty tables. This place has really gone down hill. It used to be a classy place at one time, now it seems like a rundown shack.
I did visit a tacoma location a few months back and it was a positive expereince. Re-modeled, fresh paint and shiny clean floors. I wish my store i visit could look like that.

if you like to sew you have to check out this fabric shop. they have the biggest selection you will find in this area. prices are great everyday and then they have great sales also, like .99 cents a yard for flannel fabric, great for making pajamas. they also have any sewing notion that you can think of and often they are on sale buy one get one free. you can also get patterns cheap if you watch when they go on sale. often, they have them for .99 or 1.99 which are both great prices.

an older store, found it a bit dirty. not the friendliest people there either. Look out if you are buying the ribbon by the yard..I bought some and when I got home I noticed it was cut in the middle and taped together...the cutter didn't notice or just didn't say anything. But they do have pretty good prices, and decent clearence items.
