I took a new car in with body damage. They said it would be 10 business days to fix and no problem. This was completely false. It took 28 days to fix the body. I first was told they broke a clip (who know what that is) and it would be a day more to fix. A week goes by and then upon pick up, these guys did a terrible paint job, runs in the paint, bubbles, wax marks, etc. Body A pillar was not fixed to straight.. Then to add insult to injury they damaged the inside of the car by putting a hole in the arm rest. The inside never was damaged in the accident so they did it. They never admitted fault but paid to have it replaced *the arm rest. Then they had it delivered to my home after nearly a month in the shop. It had a scratch on the front fender and they broke the heater seat switch. They refused to take any ownership for it. This is the worst repair shop that anyone I know has every dealt with. They also lied to State Farm stating we took the car home in mid January when in fact they had the car the entire time. They tried to pass the car off as repaired on the outside and all along the inside was damaged. If I hadn't looked at the interior of my car I would have left their lot and they would never have taken any ownership for punching a hole into the interior door panel. This is pathetic and to make it worse they are on the preferred list of repair shops for State Farm. Customers beware!!! Check the BBB rating before you ever set foot into a repair shop. By the way, they are a D minus *F is the worst in service. I wish I had known. This shop clearly has no ethical responsibility in customer service. Don't go there if you want your car in the job for a month and have a terrible paint job. They also could damage your car while its there. I hope this helps someone else before you ever think about have your car fixed there. I definitely DO NOT recommend anyone go there..

I had a terrible experience here. One that cost me nearly $500. In December 2011 my car was hit by another driver. Her insurance company came out, looked at the car and cut me a check (about $1600) for the repair costs. I took the car to Chester Body Shop, and they gave me an estimate of $1100 to fix my car. When I dropped my car off, they asked me to bring in the insurance company estimate, which I thought was odd. Why would the body shop care about what the insurance company thought? Aren't they supposed to be the experts? Against my better judgement I brought in a copy of the insurance estimate with my car. I was told my car would be ready in 3 days. **Two weeks later,** I was told my car was now ready. (I had not been called a single time in that period or given an update on my car). When I went to pay, the cost had gone from their original estimate to the exact dollar and cent amount of the insurance company estimate. I had not been notified of the increase until then. Their estimate even said in writing that they would notify the customer and gain approval before deviating from the estimate. We questioned it, and they were very rude. They stated it was insurance company protocol. I later tried to verify this with the insurance company and they said that was a lie. The insurance company and several attorneys suggested we file a complain with BBB and the Attorney General. When I went to do this, I realized that the body shop had not returned our only copy of their estimate the day we picked up the car, so I had no proof of their original estimate. To add insult to injury, there are obvious paint drips on my car and they left tape on my roof which has yet to come off. Please don't waste your money on these crooks. Very unsatisfied and angry.

So the only reason I wont rate them world class is because I havent done enough business there. So today I take my 99 Acura there because I cant seem to get my trunk to close. I orginally took it to a mechanic who told me that my trunk latch was probably broken so he quoted me around 300 dollars to replace it. So under his advisement I decide that I probably can fix it myself once I order the part. So I order the part wait a week for it to arrive rent a car all at the expense of somewhere in the neighborhood of 450 dollars. The part arrives and I replace it and the trunk still wont close. I decide Ill run it down to Chester body shop maybe theres something else wrong. A young guy comes to help me looks at the trunk and goes to get a seasoned professional. He takes a two second look goes back into the garage comes out with some tool and in about 30 seconds my trunk is fixed. I asked them what I owed them and he said just come back if you need some help. So I think for future reference I'll stop there for my body shop needs.

I got my body work done at Chester Body Shop and found out they do state inspections, oil changes, etc. I get my car inspected there now. My radiator busted and Chester Body Shop towed my vehicle, and repaired the issue. I know they will not try to sell me things that are not really wrong with my car, like other local mechanics. The staff is trustworthy and work hard to fix your problem. They are a family owned Christian business who strive hard to help their customers. Definitely recommend for body work AND mechanical work.

Long story short I had my truck repaired there and the service and work were great! My wife and I have also asked them to inspect used cars that we were thinking about buying for body damage. Both times they did this for us they dropped what they were doing to take a look.

All in all a very good place!
