I went to Eclips about a dozen times. I tried 2 stylists. On about 50% of those visits I had my hair blown dry by other stylists who were not busy. No one asked me, they just said, basically that they were running behind (I was on time) and that someone else needed to dry my hair. (My hair is short too.) When I questioned this the last time I was there, I was told that I should have asked for a longer appointment when I booked so I could ensure a good hair dry. I kid you not! The last person who dried my hair just started and really did a below average job. I had to redo at home. And boy do they push product. They have high product goals. I know this first hand since I heard a conversation about whose numbers were down.

While this is not one of the top spas in the area, not many can compete with Elizabeth Arden, but it is a reasonably priced hair salon and full spa. I have purchased gift certificates there before, but I think that their spa services are a little overpriced for the place. They still have very good stylists however and do a very good job with hair cutting

When I arrived I stood at the front desk while the receptionist took overly long to complete her personal call. I didn't need to know what she & her friends were planning that night. I then had to wait nearly 25 minutes since the stylists was running late. Then you get the big push to buy expensive products. Upon looking around I noticed that the patrons were all dressed to the nines. Yes I left with a nice haircut, but I've never been back since.
PROS:
CONS: Over priced

We moved to Northern Virginia about 5 years ago. After going to a number of salons in the area, I was referred to Eclips by a co-worker about 2 years ago. Their straightening and extension services are incredible and the location is very convenient for me, just a few minutes from Tysons Corner Mall. The new location is right next door to the old and is much more spacious.
Pros: Service, Ample Parking, Location
Cons: Not inexpensive
