My realtor recommended this insurance agency because they were supposedly very nice to work with. When I initially spoke with Dan on the phone, he did sound very enthusiastic and helpful. However, the communication within the office was dissatisfactory, and the information the staff gave me was confusing. The staff was also lack of initiative and follow-up actions. My initial quote was filed under an incorrect last name, so I had trouble retrieving the information. I called in with my credit card number for the payment, but the information was misplaced. No one in their office called me back to ask about it. When I called them to ensure everything was good to go, I was surprised to find out that it was not. At first I was told they were waiting on the appraisal from the mortgage company, and 3 minutes later during the same phone call, a different person told me it was not true, and they were waiting on my payment, which was already made days ago. I was upset that they did not take the initiative to inform me of the situation, and they did not seem to concern about the fact that I had to have a policy by a certain date. I gave them the payment information again, and requested to get my policy number. The staff agreed to call me back later with the number, and she never called me back. They also sent the application form (for my signature) to the wrong address. It was relatively easy to do business with them, because I was able to do everything over the phone without leaving my house. However, it was a hassle that I had to follow up with them in multiple occasions. I also don't feel that they are really concerned about their clients, even though Dan sounded really friendly on the phone. As far as costs, they did not offer the lowest quote, but their rate sounded reasonable and they could finish the paperwork quickly, so I selected them. I have not had any claim experience, but Dan educated me about their claim process in theory, and it sounded very sensible.

PROS: Easy phone transactions without leaving the house, friendly attitude.
CONS: Lack of communication and initiative for follow-up actions.
