Home Depot is great

by T A.

I've always had very good experiences at this store. People always walk me to the item for which I'm searching, the lumber guys are great, check out people are friendly, and the carpet people were really good. Called three times at beginning, middle and end of installation to make sure we were satisfied. Well done HD.

Home Depot is good

by shilpa v.

I got good service in lumber dept. I needed some wood slats for my king bed. I went there with measurements and the guy who worked there in the lumber section was very helpful. He showed us the best wood we could use for slats and also gave us ideas on how to fix support legs to those slats which would give more support to the bed. He also cut the wood in no time to our specifications. I would definitely go here again if I have some more wood cutting to be done.

NO service, NO manners

by Patricia C.

I wish there was a negative star rating or a" I would rather build my own adobe bricks than enter this Home Depot again" category. The 'girl' at the register had the audacity to tell me there was 'nothing I can do, the price is what it rings up' when I questioned a price on an item. Then when I asked the manager, she said, 'this woman wanted to pay 5 for this $12 item'-- insinuating I wanted some steal of a deal... hello? what happened to , let me check the price? I did check, I was right it was mis-marked... but I left it there. This unfortunately was the final straw. Out of the last 5 times I have been in this store, there has either been no one to help me, or the answer is always, I'll get someone else, and then they disappear. My first clue should have been the first time I went in after moving here in LATE Sept. and the "summer planting season" and 'just in time for spring" signs were still up. Stay away if you can.

No Service at All

by Ruth P. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,439

This Home Depot is the worst. There is never anyone around to help you, and when you do find someone, they never know the answer. We waited ovr an hour on line on our last visit for someone to look up a UPC code! I finally did it myself just so we could leave.

Stay far away from this Home Depot

by Amy V. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,800

This must be the worst Home Depot I have ever visited. If you don't know what you need or where it might be located, forget going into this place. The staff, if you can even find them, are useless. The checkout lines are long. The store is a mess and disorganized. There are piles of supplies in the aisles, making travel about the store unsafe. I would advise a trip to Lowes or a smaller local chain...either privately owned, ACE hardward store, etc. Also, this was the location of one the DC sniper deaths in 2002. Just a horrible shopping experience. And...don't even think about using their service that will hand a door for you....slow work and poor work!

Home Depot... Just Take Me Home

by Jessica B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,250

Oh, please don't make me go here. I know, I know... if you are doing home improvements, there is no better. But I really hate going to Home Dept. I hate the lumber smell. I hate the tool section. I even dislike the paint department. The Home Depot in Falls Church is disorderly and unfriendly. The salespeople were standoffish. We waited 45 minutes just to get a key made! My husband loves this store, so maybe its the "girly" in me, but next time he asks me to go with him, I'll pass.

PROS: It has tons of great home decorating stuff
CONS: Can't ever find anything
