This is a world class sandwich with world class owners! The subs are made with all fresh ingredients. The meats are cut fresh on a Hobart machine in front of you-the staff tells you they do it daily to ensure for the freshness of the meats and I have eaten enough subs there to agree that they are always fresh tasting! The dining room is a little dated, but it has a certain comfy feeling about the place. The staff are well trained. Definitely 5 stars!

Zero's Subs has been in this location for over 30 years now and is a mainstay to the locals. The location sits on the Portsmouth line and is only about 5 miles from Suffolk. You will find it on Western Branch Blvd. in the Poplar Hall Plaza (down from Roses) and there is plenty of parking outside and seats inside. There is even an upstairs loft to accommodate parties such as your child's sports team end of the year banquet and the good news is that there is no charge to rent the space. The best news though is the food! The owner bought the store in 1991 as the first franchise Zero's sold under their name.Jim Tabb makes sure his products are consistent in quality and quantity. He also tries to give back to the community, donating to local schools and other charitable causes. He and his wife Annette have started a non profit, dedicated to helping children at risk. Their Zero's customers help by donating to the big pickle jar that sits up on the counter where you go to place your order. The employees are friendly and competent. I would and do recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family.
