I got on line to look up the phone # for Harris Tire in Forest and saw the reviews ripping them pretty good and I thought I would add my two cents worth. In every instance that I have dealt with them, which is now four times for me and more than that for my girlfriend, I have found them to be competitive on pricing, knowledgeable and excellent at customer service. I actually had my riding mower on my trailer with a flat one Saturday and they helped me in unloading it, removing a stubborn wheel and replacing the valve stem, it literally would have taken me several hours to get back home and fix it myself. When I asked them how much I owed them I was told don't worry about it we weren't busy, just think about us the next time you need to buy tires.I didn't know any of these guys so it wasn't a favor, it was simply a great example of customer service that has won them my business since then, and I have been pleased with all facets of their work.

go to the wards rd location for everything, because the other locations send the cars and trucks that they mess to the wards road location anyway. so you tell me witch one is going to fix the car right. why dont people just go to wards rd anyway if they want their cars done right the first time.

I have been a customer of Harris Tire for many years, but not any more. They do not seem to care about customer satisfaction any longer. I have had to take my vehicle back to them the last two times I have had work done. Only to have them tell me "Oh..that's a different problem..has nothing to do with the work we done. I went in for a knee assembly, alignment, and new tires. When I picked it up, it was grinding on the drivers side really bad at the knee assembly. Their response "Oh..that has nothing to do with the work we done. You can bring it back in, must be a different problem, but we are not paying for your tow". The time before that, I had hubs replaced on my Ford Explorer, when I picked it up the 4 wheel drive light was stuck on. Their response "Oh...has nothing to do with the work we done".. COME ON!!! I'm not an IDIOT!!. Never go to Harris Tire on Forest Rd..221.

Don't go to the one on 221 - go to the one downtown Lynchburg - over the bridge. They are located at 1512 5 th St. They are ALWAYS helpful, professional and they do run an honest business. I won't deal with any other tire company or any other Harris Tire other than the one downtown Lynchburg. The others don't seem like they care whether they are helping you or not - but this one does.

I bought a set of 4 tires and got an alignment at the Forest Road Location on 12/18/06. 40,000 mile warranty. 20,000 miles later the tires are worn out. Bald on the outsides of both front tires. I went to another tire dealer today, 08/20/07, who performed yet another alignment, and was informed that there was no way that my car was aligned properly only 8 months earlier, unless I hit a pot hole the size of a manhole cover. I didn't. I went in to the Harris Tire on Forest Road today, 08/20/07 at approx. 12:30 pm. I explained to the clerk that my tires were worn out after only 20,000 miles. He laughed, and said that I should have had them rotated more often! That is certainly my fault but instead of giving me a break on a new set of tires, he tried to sell me some more for $260.00. I had not gone to the other tire dealer yet so I did not have the information yet about the bad alignment. Did the mechanic give me a proper alignment? I THINK NOT!!! Not that it matters but I will never visit Harris Tire Again. My name is Linwood Canada and my invoice/reference # is 013092. My work order # is W-135121. Salesperson, Frankie Mays, and entered by Stan Hicks. Date of service, 12/18/06. I had to spend $286.00 today on a new set of tires and a 4 wheel alignment. The brake work done on my car that day was also shoddy.

I tried out HArris Tire Company for the first time last month. Its was for my state inspection. They were good at judging the car. They were true in their inspection. They did not unnecessarily put lot of faults in my car's inspection. They did it rightly and honestly. Thats what I look for in a car maintenance shop.
