I have been taking my dog to Strawbridge for almost 10 years. While the owners have changed, the quality of care for my dog has continued to be very good. For quality of service, I would give Strawbridge 5 stars. However, I have started to feel that the billing is taking advantage of the fact that I am a conscientious dog owner. No matter how long or short, major or minor my visit, I seem to walk out with a very high bill. For example, on my most recent visit, I was given a few medications for my dog; I compared the prices to an online source and realized there was a HUGE difference between them. They tend to have you pay your bill first, then they give you the breakdown after your payment. For future visits, I will review the breakdown first and, depending upon the medication prices, ask for a prescription so it may be filled elsewhere, far cheaper.

Pros: Pets receive good care

Cons: Billing charges seem very high

As a long time pet owner well versed with the veterinary industry, I have found the new owners and staff of Strawbridge Animal Care to be kind, thoughtful and courteous. It's never fun when your beloved pet doesn't feel well but the entire staff truely cares about my pet's well being as well as mine. They take the time to answer any questions (even when I think of them later and call back). I am very pleased I have found such a wonderful place to take my pets!!!

A couple of weeks ago, I took my 6-year old dog Jake to this clinic. My dog had been limping and we wanted to see what was causing it. Jake was really nervous and scared upon entering the exam room. The vet tech was really friendly and educational. Jake was then seen by Dr. Hollowell. To make him more comfortable, she offered to do the exam outside. I found that to be really generous of her. She was really good at communicating what was what and how to deal with it. Her and the staff were very straight-forward about estimated costs.
The total cost for the day was $99 and some odd cents.
-$40 for office visit
-$15 for Rabies vaccination
-$45 for Deramaxx (anti-inflammatory medication)

I recommend this clinic to any pet owner!
