Oysterette Restaurant Raw Bar

The restaurant manager and owner take delight in trying to ostracize customers or embarrass them, all the while the cook, manager, and owner chain smoke out in front of the restaurant and the owner drinks wine all day while operating her business. The bar is filled with alcoholics who drink well beyond an acceptable level of intoxication and the bartender Brian continues to serve them. Drugs are available if you ask the right person.

Oysterette Restaurant Raw Bar sucks. The service is poor and the restaurants are extremely unsanitary. I went to the restaurant (Suffolk Oysterette) on 12/08/09 and the manager put her soiled hands on my food. I refused to pay and she called the police on me and I had to pay for hot wings that I did not consume. She was counting them to see how to charge me and to make matters worst she had just come from outdoors smoking a cigarette and touched my food. I still had to pay and she refused to give me any sort of discount. I will never eat here again and I will be reporting them to the VA Health Dept and the Better Business Bureau. STAY AWAY FROM ALL OYSTERETTE LOCATIONS!!!! The company scams their customers with erroneous charges and refuses to honor posted discounts. STAY AWAY FROM THE OYSTERETTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

This place is owned by people who don't know proper business! They don't even know how to issue people their W2's. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you want your food prep/made by unwashed hands after they were smoking cigarettes (I've seen this personally). Their produce is also mediocre. They don't order top quality seafood and my wife became very ill after eating scallops and OYSTERS Rockefeller. Beware

Local oriented bar/restaurant... a great dining experience without all the cookie cutter sameness of National Chains.

Diverse menu with everything from raw bar to prime rib - everything on the menu has a flair for originality...and it's all good.

Would go there again. Great place to bring a date.

BEST KEPT SECRET IN CHESAPEAKE VA
FOOD IS EXCELLENT NIGHTLY SPECIALS EVERY NIGHT
SUCH AS- ALL YOU CAN EAT BLUE CRAB OR SNOW CRAB LEGS
ATMOSPHERE IS VERY COMFORTABLE AND PLEASANT
SHARON TARR (OWNER) IS ALSO A PLEASURE TO HAVE

I WOULD RATE THIS AS ONE OF THE BEST RAW BARS IN
TIDEWATER, HAMPTON ROADS, AND LOCAL AREA.

Great raw bar with a large selection of appetizers/entrees. Wooden booths add to the atmosphere. Beverages from the bar were quite tasty. Would visit again.
