A friend had a terrible experience with these crooks. 1 day of holding, plus towing 9 miles somehow equalds over $600!!! What is wrong with these people?

Anyhow, contact Delegate Bob Marshall to learn of legislation to get rid of these criminal practices!

They are bottom feeders. My son went to University Mall to have lunch with his girl friend and got there at 1:41, they towed his car at 1:45, 4 minutes later! There reason was that he left the premises. He walked across the street to meet her because she was running late and they went to lunch. They seem to think that means he's not a customer. Like every one else's problem they wouldn't take his credit card because the car is in my name. Since the ATM only gave $20's and they wanted exact payment on a fee of $125, they pocketed the other $15. They are not only scum but thieves too.

How do you assign NEGATIVE stars? My daughter was stranded on Route 7 Thursday night in a flood. All traffic was pulled over - a friend picked her up and later they went back for the vehicle. The police would not let her use AAA, instead they called Henry's. (Makes you wonder). Anyway, Henry's had her car for less than 12 hours and charged THREE HUNDREDED AND ELEVEN dollars for a 2-mile tow. In a natural disaster. Who is minding the store in Fairfax County???

Henry's is a great if you an ex-con who needs a job or someone who enjoys extorting money from innocent bystanders. Been a victim of Henry who owns an island in the the South Pacific named "white trash only." If I find your car Henry, I would have it towed to Easter Island and turned into a monolith so blue breasted boobies could defecate on it endlessly. Kind of like what you do to your so called "patrons."

Easy solution to towing problems, park legally, and more than likley you won't have a problem. It would be great if evil people did not exsist but that will never happen. Henry's towing does a lot of stupid things and they hurt a lot of people and no they don't care. But that's life some people chase money and don't care who they hurt they want it that's all that matters to them. I kind of feel sorry for them. What must it be like to troll the streets looking for victims. I do things a little different than the people at Henry's towing. During my day I actually look for people who need help and I try to help them. Next time you see a person being victimized by Henry's towing, stop your car and go help the victim offer to put in $20 for them. Help them and show Henry's towing for what they really are, from management all the way down, cowards, greedy, self seeking, evil human beings.

**Update: I was told by the Mall's property manager that the people over at Henry's are "real nasty people". Anyway, the manager at Henry's told me that I was seen leaving the property. The property manager told me that even if I spent money with the tenants, if I left the premises I was officially considered a "commuter". According to him, the tenants have asked for the towing service because "people who park there, are stealing business". Also, it's said that the guy behind the counter is slow because he suffered brain damage from an accident. Forgivable I suppose.

Anyway, my back is against a wall on this one. Henry's is still a trailer trash of a business. BBB, Consumer Affairs here I come.

I parked at University Mall. Went to the gas station to pick up some gum and chapstick (29 degrees out). I'm starting a diet so I went to Giant food to browse the isles looking for food that was worth buying. Then I stopped at the donut shop for coffee. I spent about 2 and a half hours at the mall.

When I went outside to leave, my truck was gone. G.O.N.E. The Giant food manager gave me the number to the property manager whom I promptly called and left a voicemail with. We'll see how that turns out.

I asked my wife to grab our 5 year old son who has pneumonia and come pick me up.

I called Henry's Towing service. The customer service was absolutely asinine! The guy at the local yard mumbled and was so Ef'in slow it seemed as though he were on Quaaludes or pot. He could barely keep his eyes open!

While he was processing my driver's license, I asked him if someone called about my truck. He said "No one called". So I asked, "You guys just indiscriminately tow cars?!" and he said, "Yes". I almost kicked the door down! I made him aware that I was a customer of the mall to which he mumbled "Take it up with the manager in the morning".

The truck was registered to my wife, so she had to pay. When she tried to pay with my credit card the a$$hole wouldn't accept payment! He said "you have to pay cash". $125!!! I didn't hear what was said in the office because I was in the car with my son (poor kid. what a trooper) but when she came out she was furious and I mean on fire! Apparently the a$$hole wasn't sympathetic to my son's plight and wouldn't work any faster than his Sloth pace.

I will call the manager tomorrow. My next door neighbor is a police officer so I'm going to inquire about the policy against rogue towing.

I called the Fairfax Consumer Affairs branch and requested complaint history on Henry's towing. I will follow up and register a complaint with them if I cannot receive a full refund of my wife's money.

The Fairfax Consumer Affairs telephone number is (703) 222-8435.

I will contact the BBB as well if this matter cannot be resolved.
Their complaint website is : https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/getstarted.aspx

I also called the Fairfax County Non-Emergency number to inquire about whether or not the tow operator had called in my vehicle. The person had stating my vehicle was suspecious. I told the officer that I was shopping to which she advised I call the manager. She gave me the county codes pertaining to towing. They are Section 82-5-32.

I was working on my car in the Condo parking lot and noticed this tow truck just cruising and stopping and checking all "suspicious" cars went around the block and kept checking. SO then he comes back up the street again and He picks up a car and takes off fast. I then go inside and come back out and there were 2 housekeeper ladies just looking around aimlessly, I knew what was up and told them what happened. This is considered "rouge towing" in many areas and is illegal. Not sure about here in VA. SO these ladies loose the rest of the days work and have to pay who knows what to get their car back. WRONG WRONG WRONG.

I recently went to Baltimore to assist my 80 year old mother with Dr. appointments and other necessities who lives in the Indecco building next to the Safeway on Boston Street. I arrived after the office was closed and was not informed that I would need a guest pass to park, so I parked in a space close to the Indecco building. All the signs that I read said Indecco parking and Safeway, so I certainly believed I would not have a problem. I went downstairs the next morning to take my Mom to an appointment to get a wheelchair and my car was gone! I made numerous phone calls and was treated like criminal. It doesn't end there. After picking up the car, I did look it over and it seemed fine, I kept hearing a loud thump. Each time I checked the tire (2) I couln't find a problem. On the 3rd try I decided to have my daughter put the car in reverse and check the total tire! My tire was completely bald on an approximate 5 inch section of the tire from being dragged. I stopped and had a mechanic look at it and he said it was from being dragged from the towing. I plan on getting a petition and filing a law suit. Henrys will not continue this because this little country bumpkin from Gloucester Virgina will not stop until this company is held accountable for damaging peoples cars!

Please e-mail me if you are interested in joining in on the petion/ eventual lawsiut! vbunch2@msn.com

Unfortunately I have a similiar experience. With all the recent snow we had two spots dug out, and I gave up my spot to a guest thinking I could park at the local shopping center over night. When I arrived at where I had parked my car the previous night I found it was missing. The employees at Safeway informed me that cars parked in the lot over night that do not have safeway stickers on them are towed by Henry's. I mentioned that I did not see any signage, and they told me there is two small signs one at each entrance to the shopping center. I find it interesting that they do not allow overnight parking when the wing factory is right there. So they are promoting driving by not allowing cars to park over night (if they happen to see the small signs upon entering the shopping center). I went to the shady office with the little window in the door to pay the 110 fee which you have to pay in cash if you are not the owner whose name is on the registration- if your name is on registration they will allow credit card payment. As I was waiting for my paperwork I noticed a sign that said check your car before leaving the lot b/c they are not responsible for any claims made after leaving the lot. As I walked towards my car I noticed a peice of plastic hanging from the bottom of my car so I told the attendant and he took pics and filled out paper work for a claim. Of course the guy never called me so I will have to call them tomorrow. So far I have not noticed any damage to my locks, but I intend to have these jerks pay for the damage on the bottom of my car. We need to stop talking about reporting them and actually do it. I plan to talk to local news stations, and maybe the better business bureau- anybody who will listen. If you know the proper steps to take please advise. At the very least they need to have better signage on their lots b/c I would not have parked there last night had I known otherwise.

My car was towed yesterday from University Mall, where there was no sign that says it was illegal to park there.

I go into their s*itty impound on Eaton and it costs me 110 to get it back. I check the car today and the front right side door does not lock - apparently because they opened it using their ILLEGAL tools for whatever reason.

I call up "Jim" today, the hick bastard, and he tells me you can't file a damage complaint, because you have to inspect it on the lot. How the f*ck would I even think about the locking device being broken on the spot.

THey illegally tow you, rip you off, damage your car, and then deny damage complaints?

Going into their trailer trash "office" you'll want to start puking at the smell of it. Disgusting. That's why hicks are so disliked, they're scum. High school dropouts who have no courtesy, nor brain to do any job, let alone tow a car without damage.

I completely agree with MR BAN TA S.
this company should PUT ON A VERY TIGHT LEASH.ONE SHOULD SEE THEIR IMPOUND LOT AND THE SO CALLED OFFICE.THEY ACT AND TALK LIKE HIGH SCHOOL DROP OUTS.
MY CAR WAS TOWED/DRAGGED.I HAD A FRONT END DAMAGE,WHICH I COULD NOT HAVE KNOWN WHEN I PICKED IT UP.I AM NOT A AUTO EXPERT.
AND I ENDED UP PAYING THE TOWING CHARGES PLUS THE FRONT END DAMAGE CHARGES.
ONE OF THE MOST DISGRACEFUL COMPANY IN FAIRFAX COUNTY.
MR BAN TA S IS RIGHT.SOME BODY SHOULD START A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THEM.I WILL GIVE THEM ALL THE PROOF THEY NEED FROM MY SIDE.
THANK YOU MR BANTA S.

I agree 100% with Banta S! Same thing happened to me. I drove my brand new car off the lot, parked it at home, and the next morning it was gone. I live in an association, so I put a visitor pass on the dash until I could get a permanent parking sticker. Henry's towed it anyway!

I inspected the car at the impound lot, but it wasn't evident that the door was sprung until I got out at home. Too late! Today I had it back to the dealer to have the door repaired, but it could only be realigned about 95%. The service manager showed me a two-inch-long gash in the paint on the inside door jam where the door had been forced open.

Henry's staff claimed the parking pass was "invalid." Even my condo association board said that was ridiculous.

They are scum balls of the society Their main aim is to make money by towing cars for illegal profits.recently my wife's new car was towed, later on we found out that they had messed the locking system by opening the car w/o a key.New car could be only fixed 95% And the Service manager told us that the door was messed by retarded drivers Henry employs.I wonder if Old man Henry knows about this,on the other hand he might have trained them himself.
Watch out when you see a Henry's Truck call 911 and have a Baseball bat Handy.
It is high time Fairfax County does something.
Hope some Lawyer gets towed ,so he can start a Class Action Law suit against this Unscruplous company. And we all can join the band wagon

Fantastic, courteous and patient towing service. They came to my rescue when my battery died in the mall parking lot, with 2 young kids, and 2 heavy carseats to deal with, the driver was very helpful and waited for my ride to come and let me follow him to the dealership to get it fixed. I was new to VA and did not now my way around and he was great.
He was also very helpful to other drivers at the mall as he was trying to load my car , he was also assisting others trying to park around his tow truck.
Thanks for making a bad day a little better.

My car was towed by Henry's. When I called them to simply find out if they had my car, I was immediately treated with a disrespectful, bordering on threatening attitude. I was shocked. The gentleman (I use the term loosely here) on the phone was purposely vague, rude, and harassing to the point that I felt unsafe even going there to pick up my car.

They towed my car from an unmarked spot in my friend's townhouse complex. All the designated (unallowed) spots were numbered, so as far as I know, the spot I parked in was open. I was charged $130 to get my car back and the guy who answered the phone to give me directions and pricing was a jerk. Henry's blows.

Henry's was called out to my car accident a few months ago. While it was not a good situation at all, the guy driving the tow truck was so helpful. He told me how to take the pictures, etc to talk to the insurance company to help proof that the other driver was at fault. And he gave me a ton of tips on dealing with the system that worked-the other driver was found at fault
