Couldn't give it 5 stars, (I save that for the fancier places with fancier foods) but for a down-home local cafe it should have that 5th star. The location...next to a car dealership with the SPCA across the street, and the plain interior (clean, but needs painting), a tv in a corner, overhead, with a hand-written "Do not touch the tv" sign - sound was off...and a plywood floor beneath the lineoleum tiles that shakes when anyone walks across it...made me question whether I wanted to eat there. However, the friendliness of not only the staff but the other diners, kept me there. The only thing that disappointed me was that the the biscuit was getting cold and the coffee was lukewarm - even the refill!! However, it was 10:30, and most restaurants around there cut off breakfasts at 11:00, so they were probably trying to be economical.

Stepping into the Blue Collar Cafe is like a step back in time to the neighborhood cafe where everyone gathered to meet for the morning cup of coffee before going out to work. Their breakfasts are epic, all cooked to order, and VERY reasonable. The coffee cup is bottomless, and they have REAL cream in the little containers on the table.

If you are a local, you're sure to meet someone you know, and if you are from out of town, you'll be acknowledged with a warm greeting and welcome to Clarksville.

While the exterior is quite unprepossesing, and seems to share space with a car repair service, don't let that deter you from eating here. Inside you have the real deal local gathering place. The decor is very much country cafe, bright and clean. The food is filling and well prepared. I'm a particular fan of the eggs over easy with hashbrowns. Arteries, stand by, but Oh so GOOD!

They are only open for breakfast and lunch, and I must confess I've only eaten the breakfasts, but friends tell me they have excellent burgers. If you are looking for quiche, wraps, and salads, there are better places in Clarksville to visit, but for an old fashioned country cafe, this is the place to go.
