Not a family friendly as I would have liked. Food was OK, but staff and management should learn to control themselves in front of customers better. Not sure if it were family friendly, friendly at all, or was it only a bad day for everyone. Fair portions for the $ but everything could have been better about the place.

After visiting The Pink Cadillac Fourth of July weekend (2011), it is safe to say I will never return or suggest this diner to ANYONE for the following reasons: 1) This facility is NOT handicap friendly, so the walk into the diner for anyone using a cane, walker or wheelchair is not an easy task. There is also little to no 'drop-off' area in front of the diner due to being off a main road. 2) Upon entering the diner, we were ignored by several staff before WE asked if we needed to seat ourselves. At this time, we were rudely told it would be a few minutes to bus a table for such a large group. We had 6 people in our party. That is it. (I don't mind 'waiting,' but I don't think any customer should have to take the initiative to be acknowledged.) 3) While waiting to be seated, I observed a lady in management, Anne, speak extremely disrespectfully to her staff, disclosing personnel frustrations regarding one specific staff member in front of all customers standing up front or sitting nearby. The way she was spoke made myself and those in my party feel extremely uncomfortable (and sorry for the staff who tolerated being spoken to in that manner). 4) By the time our table was ready, my mother had literally JUST made it to the door with her cane from her 10 minute 'hike' from the parking lot. As she was walking in, the same lady in man. was taking my cousin to our table. Once my mother saw the table??s distance, she requested a table closer and a chair to sit in immediately as she felt her legs were about to give out on her. A very kind waitress assisted my mother and quickly started setting up a closer table for us. After the waitress explained the circumstances to the manager, the manager blatantly expressed her frustrations through rolling her eyes, shaking her head, putting her hands in the air and walking away. 5) The restroom was disgusting! There were ants crawling on the ground near the toilet. There were flies all over landing on our food. The diner overall was extremely run down and out of date. Especially in comparison to my visit a few years back which was an amazing experience BTW?? leading us to come here on this particular day. The tables were sticky and although we all just washed our hands, we also used sanitizer before eating. As we left, we walked over to the Cadillac for pictures and was smacked in the face with the odor of raw sewage. Apparently, there is an unresolved septic issue to the right of the diner that we luckily didn??t smell prior to entering the building. ON A BRIGHTER NOTE, the food was very good ?? typical diner food, so don??t expect more. Service from wait staff was even better. In fact, one staff in particular apologized for the actions of her boss. That says a lot!
Before leaving the diner, I requested contact information for the owner. To my dismay, the ??lady in management? was the owner??s wife. This staff recommended I call back later and ask to speak with her husband, Steve. I waited until after the holiday and left a message for Steve. After a couple days and no response, I called again and left another message for Steve. After leaving the second message, I received a prompt returned call?but from Anne who told me my option was to ??speak to her or no one,? because she was the one who handled all Human Affairs for the company. Once I explained to her the complaints were about her, she immediately went into defense mode and began shooting off excuse after excuse ?? they were really busy, staff wasn??t doing their job, I don??t understand because I??m not in the food industry, she was under a lot of stress, etc...I can honestly say I was unable to even tell her my ??formal? complaints, because she cut me off each time I tried to speak. She was extremely condescending toward me which after seeing how she spoke to her staff I guess I??m not so surprised. She also told me ??there is ONE handicap spot and that is all she is required by law to have and that it was not her fault this spot was taken.? She also said it was on a blue sign. I have a picture taken today showing TWO Handicap signs written on box lid in red marker stapled to a post outside the front of the building. We have had a lot of rain over the past week and I am confident these two signs would NOT have held up through this weather. Also, there was no ??blue? sign anywhere on the property as Anne stated there was. I??m not making any accusations; however, I assume she hung these cardboard signs up after speaking with my sister and me. Not once did Anne take any ownership of her poor choices in management during our visit. Instead, she argued justifications for her unprofessionalism. I may not be in the food industry; however, I do know that anyone running a company should know whether you agree or not, your business is nothing without happy customers. Clearly, customers do not come first to her. She is running that business into the ground. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE!!

We found this diner by accident, interesting place. The people there (locals), both the employees and the customers that sat near us were very friendly. The atmosphere is interesting, lots of oldies displayed, juke box, vintage tables, booths, etc., etc. The food we had was great, above diner quality. The prices were very reasonable and we found the restaurant to be clean. On the way out, spoke to the manager and found out this restaurant has been around for years, several well known people have visited and also was once featured on the food channel network on the diners, drive-in's and dives show. I've since learned a little more history of this diner and have found some very positive things written about them. If we are ever in that area again, we will stop in.

While driving from TN to DC we were looking for a place to have dinner. I found the Pink Cadillac Diner on Google and wish I had read the reviews first on tripadvisor.com. The lady at the counter with the godawful haircut (looks like someone put a bowl on her head) and the even worse teeth yelled out, "we'll be with ya when we can," as we walked in the door. We looked around and there were at the very least a dozen tables empty. So, we though, maybe they weren't sitting anyone in this section. We didn't want to end up wasting another hour having to wait for a table, then ordering and eating, so we grabbed a waitress and ordered 2 sandwiches to go. She was a very nice lady and has probably worked there since she was a teenager. She took our order and I thought I'd give the restroom a shot...surprisingly, it was clean. I expected it not to be.

The waitress brought hubby's coffee out and my bottled water and told us we could have a seat anywhere. I said I thought people weren't sitting there...but apparently the lady who was sitting behind the register just didn't want to bother seating people.

Food was OK...just what you'd expect from a cheap diner. And, you really can't screw up a grilled chicken sandwich or a grilled cheese sandwich.

Would I go there again? No....I'd rather go have eggs over easy at Cracker Barrel and if anyone knows me, they know Cracker Carrel is way down on my list of desirable places to eat.

Prices were average, Dress is casual. Lots of neat stuff to look at. Food was good. The place has alot of potential. It didn't seem very clean. I don't think it is a place I will go to again.
