Reviews for China Inn

Ratings_icons Very average food, but nice people, good service

I have to admit I didn't much care for the two meals I ate at this restaurant. On one occasion, I ordered General Tso's Shrimp and Pork Lo Mein; the breading on the shrimp was so thick and doughy, it was like eating a biscuit with some shrimp on it, and the sauce wasn't good. The Lo Mein was fair. The second time, the Sweet and Sour Chicken was all sweet - too sweet - and the Shrimp with Garlic Sauce had shrimp that were very mushy and watery. But I have to say, the people working there were unfailingly polite, greeted us nicely, and were very attentive to us throughout our meal.

Ratings_icons Average for the Area with Extended Delivery

Lori B.

Extended delivery area is a plus. The egg rolls are too greasy, but the shrimp fried rice was meaty and well seasoned. The pork lo-mein was actually quite good. The pork wasn't overly sweet and the noodles weren't over-cooked. After reading the previous review, I was pleasantly surprised.

Ratings_icons Worst food I ever had...inedible

I had heard the food here wasn't great but I was in the shopping center and starving so I picked up some takeout. How bad could it be, right? I got chicken with cashews and imagine my shock when I opened the container to see it was bright RED! It looked like the sauce was ketchup. The "fried rice" was undercooked rice with a faintly tan tint and a few shreds of egg. It looked like institutional food. The egg roll was overcooked mushy cabbage and some sort of ground mystery meat. I could not eat it, and I am not a finicky eater. I pulled some 3 day old pizza out of the fridge and had that instead. It was much better. The restaurant was clean and attractive and the staff was very friendly and happy. Too bad the food is so awful!
