I've been dealing with Beach Ford Service for a few years now but today I was very disappointed. Service rep Becky was very polite and professional but the mechanic couldn't be bothered to replace a missing headlamp screw to secure one

From start to finish, we had the best customer service when purchasing my husband's truck. Sonny was fantastic; had he not told us it was only his second week there, we'd never have guessed. My husband and I were treated courteously and with respect throughout our whole buying experience. We have plans to make our third vehicle purchase from Beach Ford next year (a Fusion).

After looking at almost every dealership in town, I didn't hesitate to purchase from Beach Ford after dealing with my salesman, JOHN SCHLICK. He really stood out to me because he actually listened to what I was looking for in a vehicle. Even though I might have been persuaded to purchase a pricier vehicle, he actually took the time to keep reminding me and redirecting me to the vehicles with the features I was looking for. I had my Explorer serviced in Feb 2009. I had normal maint done on the vehicle. When I drove off, lug nuts were missing from one of the the wheels causing the car to swerve and shake. It was raining at the time and I had marked difficulty

I am ALWAYS pleased with the superior service I get at Beach Ford. I would never purchase a vehicle from anyone else. Over the years I have bought 3 pickup trucks (the last one was a King Ranch which I still have), 2 Escapes (2008s for my daughters) and 2 Edges (a 2008 and now a 2011). The Edge is one of the finest, coolest cars I have ever owned. I would also never take my vehicles anywhere but Beach Ford for service. They always do a great job and are concerned that the work is done right the first time. My daughters (21 and 19) take their Edges their for oil changes and routine maintenance. They are treated so well. I strongly recommend Beach Ford to anyone who is considering purchasing a Ford or Lincoln product.

I have had nothing but problems with the Beach Ford service department. I bought my car last year. When I drove it off of the lot I drove it straight to my friends place to show off my new car. When I got there we walked around it and saw that there were 2 lug nuts missing on one of the wheels! I called the salesman who sold me the vehicle and he drove to where I was and put the lugnuts on himself and appologized for the service departments mistake and gave me a free tank of gas.

Whenever I have brought my vehicle in for service the employees have been extremely rude, clueless and unprofessional with terrible attitudes. They don't even know if they have any complaint forms to fill out! The woman driving my vehicle back to service told me my car was "dirty" because it had pollen on the outside. The last time I brought my vehicle in I told them exactly what needed to be done to my car when I made the appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, they said they had scheduled me to check in with someone who didn't even work that day. I asked if that meant my car would take longer to get serviced or if it only affected my check in. The woman said it would only affect my check in so I went to go play basketball in the parking lot next door. An hour and a half later I was walking around the parking lot and saw my car parked outside. After standing at the counter for close to 10 minutes waiting for the woman at the front desk to get off of her cell phone, I asked her why my car was not being worked on. She said that they hadn't gotton to it yet. I asked her when they would get to it and she said she didn't know. I asked her if she could find out because I didn't want to be stuck there all day. They finally told me that it would be at least another hour until they got to my car. I asked them what the point of having an appointment is if they don't even bring the car into the shop until 2 and 1/2 hours or more after my scheduled appointment. She told me that appointments only guarantee a time to check in your vehicle, it doesn't have anything to do with when your car will be serviced. Then she told me that the service I was bringing my car in for was not really "A saturday kind of a thing," and that "they are always shorthanded on the weekends". That would have been nice to know when I made my appointment and told them EXACTLY what I was bringing my car in for. Then I asked her about the warranty program I purchased when I bought my car. She said she didn't know if that part would be covered or not and that they couldn't find out anyways until monday. I pulled out the brochure that I got when I bought my car listing the parts that are covered and she asked if she could make a copy of it. I was shocked that I paid thousands of dollars for this warranty and they were not aware what parts were covered. I had more knowlege about the warranty program than they did! At this point the woman could tell I was getting irritated and some other customers were starting to take notice of the issues - so she said I could bring my car in on monday night, pick up a rental( that they would pay for) and they would work on my car on Tuesday. I explained I was leaving town Wednesday right after work and I need my car on Tuesday. She promised that my car would be the very first car to be looked at on Tuesday so I agreed. Tuesday, I still had not heard anything by lunch time so I called them. She was extremely short and rude with me when she said they still hadn't looked at my car and that they would call me whenever they got to it. I got off of work at 4 and still hadn't heard ANYTHING so I drove to Beach Ford. When I got there she said that they had just pulled it into the shop. After searching hampton roads for the perfect truck. I narrowed it down to an F-150 at Cavalier Ford and an F-150 at Beach Ford. The truck I really wanted was at Beach ford but it was a little out of my price range, appox. $1000. I told them if they wouldn't come down, I would have to take Cavalier Ford's offer. They told me they "would not be forced to compete with a rival dealership... it's frowned upon". Well three years and $18,000 dollars later, my truck from Cavalier Ford is paid off. Hope $18,000 was worth it boys.

The service department has the worst face-to-face customer service I think I have ever experienced. The receptionists are not friendly or helpful. I had a toddler, an infant in a carrier, and two bags and I was trying to get to the lounge to wait. The receptionist, along with the serviceman they literally looked me in my face and didn't offer to help. Neither person offered to open the door, which was two steps away from their desk. I had walk by their desk to get to the lounge. Thankfully another customer had enough decency and kindness to open the door and offer to carry the infant carrier. To make matters worse, after being in a waiting room from 7:45 to 10:45a I went to the receptionist to inquire about my vehicle. After she finished her social conversation she asked how she could assist me. She looked my name up in the computer and said she had no clue. However, she told me I could walk outside and ask the serviceman myself. She did point him out to me, how helpful!

I won't bore you with the disgusting children's waiting area. Thankfully my daughters are up to date with their shots.

We bought our new car from Beach Ford a few years back. The sales transaction was great - they took their time to hype up their great service department: world class, state of the art, very clean, etc. We didn't get any pressure to buy. We found what we wanted and went for it. Our really big mistake was buying a Maintenance warranty with them. The price was great on this warranty that offered all of our maintenance needs on the car for the next 36 months. We bought it and didn't think about it until 3,000 miles later when it came time for the very first oil change. I called in to make an appointment and was told I didn't need one. I got there and was asked if I had an appointment because they were too busy to take a walk in! I was irate after taking an afternoon off to get this done. Not only that but the lady there was very unprofessional, unwilling to help and borderline rude. I was sent home that day after MAKING AN APPOINTMENT like I wanted to do to begin with. Every time I have gone there since, it is at least a two to three hour wait - FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE and the staff there is enough to make my blood pressure go through the roof. And I had no choice but to keep taking my car there since I had prepaid for this service. My car hit 36,000 miles the other day and I wanted to jump for joy! I can now take it wherever I want to for service. I will no longer have to pack lunch and extra diapers for the baby when I leave at 8am to get an oil change! Who has time for that?
