From the outside, Carini's looks pretty run down, but it's a good place to go for Italian food. I have always been there with a huge group, so I can't really judge what the normal service would be. They offer a wide variety of Italian foods and have a little banquet room in the back.
They were kind enough to let our group play bagpipes (not the quietest instrument!) and dance in this room.

We had my daughter's birthday here and was very impressed at how well the staff took care of us. The party went off without a hitch and everyone enjoyed the pizza. They also gave us a discount on the check!

Night after night my senses draw me back to the mouth watering delectables served at Carini. I know from past experience that service has been left to be desired but recently they have made important changes. Fresh faces mixed with a few old gives it a familiarity yet a newness. Also, the ability to please husband and wife as well as the kids ( considering the game room ), that doesn't happen everywhere. Try this deliciously satisfying restaurant, you'll be glad you did.
Pros: ability to hold large parties, satisfy everyone in the family
Cons: are there any?
My wife and I go often. The food is always good. The only problem I ever have is with slow service. Too many times we would be seated and wait for 10-15 minutes before being greeted by our server. Nonetheless, overall, this is a good restaurant.
Carnin's was recomended by a local hotel. My wife and I love authentic Italian restaurants and Carni's met all of our expectations. Service was superb, the aptmosphere was warm with a local charm, and the manager was welcoming. There were many choices for adults and young children. Food quality was extremely high and priced appropriately. Dinner at Carini's made our last evening on vacation most memorable.
Pros: Ambience, food selection and quality
This place started off a small little "hole in the wall", but now, I love this place! The food, the people, the ambience!! When ever my friends from out of town come out, this is the first place I take them! *****!!!!!
Pros: No reservations
Cons: Out of the way
The service is top notch, food is always hot, and very family friendly!! My kids love it, I love it, keep up th good work!!!!
This place was great the food was real italian and the atmosphere felt as if I was in Italy. They even have a game room so the kids can go play. This place is a must go see because it really does have a piece of Italy.
Pros: Atmosphere, real italian, family orientied
In a tiny strip mall in the East End hides a Wonderful Italian Family Restaurant. Great food at a reasonable price with fast friendly service. Best find we have made since moving to Richmond 6 years ago.
The portions are huge even for lunch, and the food is outstanding. Better than any Italian food chain restaurant
Having a family meeting here in the back room is wonderful. The kids can eat and then go to the game room while the adults discuss the issues. Plus having your meal served to you and not having to do the cleaning up is great too.
Pros: Good parking, Convenient location, Excellent food/servic
The food is very good and at a good price.
Don't be fooled by the drab, outside appearance. This hole in the wall is actually transformed into a little piece of Italy. Not only is the food yummy and affordable, but the scenery (especially the hugh fountain and beautiful wall paintings) make for a truly enjoyable experience.
Pros: Inexpensive, Yummy food, Great decor
Cons: Hole in the wall, Drab location, Small
I have been going to Carini's since I was a kid. They have wonderful Italian dishes and pizza. The salads are always fresh and their house dressing should be bottled! Prices are affordable for families and atmosphere is cozy. Service is prompt and friendly.
Pros: food, service, pices
