Steuber Lydia - Hanbury Family Medicine

I had an appt last week & once again witnessed the rude staff. If it wasn't for the fact I like my Dr so much I would go elsewhere. Actually Dr. M. is the best I've ever had. The front desk recept. with the dark hair had a patient in tears. She belittled her in front of a waiting room full of people. The poor patient was crying so hard she had to be taken to the back & consoled. When patient's come to the Dr. it is usually because they are sick & the last thing they need is to deal with nasty personnel. My advice to the front desk help... you know who you are, is if you hate your job this much, find another one. You don't need to be dealing with the public! She has been rude to me also in the past, but I have a strong personality & gave it right back to her.

I was so outraged by the manager that worked there 2 maybe 3 years ago now that I have not stepped foot back in the place. Not only did she speak to you in a condescending way, she acted as if the patients were suppose to know everything about there illness. You should of heard the way she spoke to the people on the other end of the phone. I also thought that she treated the employees like they were beneath her in some way.I personally thought alot of the doctor, she was very nice. But not nice enough to bring me back again and deal with the wicked witch of the east.

The doctors are excellent, however, the front desk staff needs tweaking. Too much personal conversation and please be more courteous when talking to patients. Eye to eye contact and a friendlier tone of voice when speaking directly to patients and when on the phone would be appreciated. I have been a patient for quite some time and if I was not confindent that my doctor was the best I would not return. I continue to encourage friends and colleagues to patronize this office. Many have stated that they too found the front office unfriendly and uncaring but remain a patient because they respect the doctors.

Personal care in what has fast become an impersonal world. Hanbury Family medicine takes a step back in time and provides good old-fashioned personal care where the doc actually knows who you are! Dr. McKeithan in particular, is a gem. She's from Ireland and her old-world charm and care is evident in everything she does to provide her patients with the best care.
