We are sooooo regret to choose Fairfax Pediatrician Ass. for our new born. We only met 2 doctors so far, we were just ok with their service. But nurses or admin.staffs are terrible, everyone has certain attitude. We don't feel comfortable to bring our baby there. We will change our pediatrician definitely.

I have been using this office for the past four years. The doctors were OK. The billing and admin staff were pretty bad. Billing department is not very helpful and hard to talk to. Every time I go there, I see about two doctors working and a bunch of admin people in the front desk chatting. They should be more considerate--people are bringing their sick kids to the office. The front desk should not be so loud.

I love this practice! They really care about the kids and the doctors are wonderful. The staff has always been really nice to me and they treat me and my children like family. We've been coming to to this practice for 4 years now and are very happy that we switched to them.

I've been coming to this practice for ten years and I love them! The doctors are great and the nurses are friendly. I've never had an issue and would recommend them to anyone.

Be careful if you don't pay your bills on time, they are quick to send you to collections and kick you out of their practice because of the debt. I understand about getting paid, but this practice is a disgrace because they won't even let you make an appointment if you have an outstanding balance. Yes, all they care about is the money!!!! Dr. Ohriner, Dr. Mazid, Dr. Murphy are the best though.

The admin staff is rude and abnoxious, and their billing staff are rude and have no clue of what they do. All they care about is making MONEY. They have the nerve to tell me that my insurance does not cover a certain exam, and they sent me a claim for $150. On calling my insurance company, they informed me that the office has filed a wrong claim and I am completely covered.
Dr. Mekenzi is the rudest doctor I have ever come across in my life. My child refuses to go there again.
If it were not for Dr. Ohriner, I would be long gone from this place.
This is a special note to the doctors. If you intend to value our children and expect us to stay with your practice, your admin staff needs to go, your doctors need to be more courteous and your nurses need to be trained.
No one other than Dr Dakin and Dr Ohriner have any bedside manners out there.

In my son's 6-month routine checkup, they overcharge us $85 for the office visit besides the regular preventive service and immunization charges. We also needed to wait around 40 minutes and finally only a CPNP, not MD did the checkup.??

I have been going to FPA for 17 years and my children are very upset that they are going to age out in 2 years. The practice has been fantastic, the staff is wonderful, the doctors are warm and fuzzy, the advice nurses are so knowledgeable that I have relied on them for help at all hours. I love FPA and recommend them completely.

They value money more than children or parents. Their staff are so rude. The nurse had no clue what when she handled my baby. You have to wait an hour to finally see the doctor and then examine the baby without explaining things for two minutes and out of the door. Some doctors are so rude and treat you like a child. I'll never go there again.

I recently moved from Florida and my daughter had to go for a wellness check up, I was not inpressed with the receptionist who made an appointment, she asked my address 3 times and was still not able to enter it in to the system, and they had no direct line to the centreville office, I got to see the nurse who did not know how to handle babies, she made my daughter crancky the whole tijme she examed her, and just asked about our concerns. My doctor in Florida talked to us on what to expect for the months to come, gave us assurances on things that might happen, and gave us encouragement. I had to ask for the release forms to send to Florida for my daughters records twice and got rude expression and gesture when I asked them to fax the form to Florida and was told to call back for the next appointment. I was not going to go back to the office but had no choice but to go back when my daugher got rash all over the body the next week, I got to see a MD after waiting for an hour even the office were not busy. The doctor who came must had a bad day, she was rude and I spoke to me as if I was her child. she examed my dauther and determed it was a viral infection of such she didn't explain what it is and said it is a virus. She is ready to go and left the room. I will never to back to that office.

Both of my children used to go to FPA. Some of the doctors are fantastic but the wait times and awful office staff meant we moved to another practice which is a shame. Phone hold times and waiting times in the doctors office were beyond reasonable. I think the practice had too many patients and not enough admin capacity/doctors.

I have been using Fairfax Pediatrics for over 12 years and would never go anywhere else. My children have seen all of the doctors and I like them equally. They are all caring, warm and concerned. I have been to both offices and have never had a problem getting a same day appointment even at the end of the day. They have office hours on Saturday AND Sunday if the child is sick to try and keep from sending you to the emergency room. The office is clean and really geared to children. I would NEVER take my children anywhere else.

I changed my child??s pediatrician from Reston Pediatrics to Fairfax Pediatrics, mistake, my child got sick called for sick call twice never gave appointment same day, told us to take the baby to emergency, rude receptionists. I called back my old Reston Pediatrics they gave me appointment within one hour. I changed pediatrician in first place because I moved close to Fair Oaks Hospital, but I finally decided it is worth to travel to Reston for your children. Fairfax Pediatrics bad management Good Doctors

I have 4 kids, and have moved several times and been with several different pediatricians. This is one of the best practices I've ever experienced. First, the doctors are superb! They know their stuff, can handle just about any type of illness, are complete and thorough. Dr. Dubinsky and Dr. Dosa are two of the smartest doctors. They take care of the toughest cases, but I've seen 5 of the doctors and like them all. The front desk is warm and welcoming, the appointments are easy to schedule. I love the same day sick appointments. The office is clean and pleasant. Sometimes, it's busy in the waiting room, but that's because I've met so many people who just won't go anyplace else. That speaks for itself. I'd rather go to a busy doctor that's good, than one that's not busy, but not so good. These doctors are worth waiting for. I hope I never have to move from them until my kids are grown!

I started taken my three children there in 2001 since a neighbor was a nurse there. It is because of her that I continued to go. It was very apparent that even though my friend was a favorite of the kids she wasn't a favorite with the staff that was above her by the interesting comments that some of them would actually say to me during my childrens' office visits about her. Since she has left for a better job, I have noticed the staff is distant at best and VERY impersonal and I have had appointments with all the doctors at both locations although Centreville may only be slightly better than Fair Oaks. It really is more like a sign the paper, pay us and go feeling. There is only one person, Trish (a nurse who I have only managed to see ONCE even if I request her) that is worth her weight in gold. She is so thoughtful, kind, helpful & caring that she really deserves to be in a place that is as outstanding as she it. I have stayed with them in the past due to a serious condition that one of my children has despite having moved a distance away but due to another illness I have hit my limit of tolerance. We were told to have procedures at the hospital for them but they have NEVER called back with the results so we have moved on. I really feel that they are there to make money not care about people, child or parent.

I have been using FPA since 1990 when my oldest of four was born. Amongst all my kids we have had several sets of stitches, ER visits, hospital stays, and the FPA doctors are just the best. Many of the doctors know us by name. Dr. William Ohriner is the family favorite. He has been there for us through some scary illnesses. He can ask after my kids by name even when I run into him at the mall! I have nothing but positive experiences to report in almost 16 years with four different kids (2 boys, 2 girls).

PROS: Almost sixteen years of positive experiences
CONS: Absolutely none to report

So far I've visited the Fairfax office twice and the Centreville office once. We met with a doctor at the hospital (1 day postpartum) and at home I used the sick advice line. Everyone I have dealt with has been nice and helpful (receptionists, nurses, doctors). The patient rooms have nicely painted walls (cartoons, etc.) and they have toys and t.v. in the waiting area for children (more toys at Fairfax- bigger area). Overall I'm happy with the service so far!

PROS: helpful, quick response, nice, friendly staff, 2 locations-convenient
CONS:

I have been to both Fairoaks and Centreville office and I experienced that they have more time at the centreville office because of fewer appointments and at the Fairoaks they are always in a rush. When at Centreville they will give you enough time to finish your questions and also answer them very nicely. I prefer going to the Centreville office more than the Fairoaks office.

PROS: two locations
CONS: not all doctors are nice and kind.

We've seen several doctors at Fairfax Pediatric Assoc. and are very happy with them. They are wonderful about sick visits and the oncall nurse is usually very prompt.

I love this doctor's office. They really care for their patients and will go beyond their duties to ensure that they are healthy. They would prefer that you go to them instead of the hospital. They will even come in on Saturdays and Sundays. That is a A+ in my book.
