Treviso is back! This used to be my favorite local place until the ownership changed. A friend of mine told me the original owners took back over. I decide to try it again. Wow! It was better than i remember. The food was amazing! I ordered the Monte Cristo. It was rich and flavorful. A very original dish. If you have been here in the recent past I recommend giving them another try. They are back to their original glory.

I just moved to Ashburn and had a wonderful experience at Trevisos. Our appetizer was an order of hummus, which is homemade and it is far yet the best I've had. Their trevisos salad is made with ripe tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. their house calzonne is something to be experienced, very delicious my husband enjoyed it very much. The restaurant is small, italian style. Staff was warm to our children and the service is average, the atmosphere is clean and cozy. Overall great food, price is well worth it for the amount of food and quality. We have found a great place to dine near our home.

Trevisos used to be a great restaurant with very fair prices but have recently been taken over by new managers/owners/etc. (I'm not sure who or what took them over but I know it wasn't good!) Since this takeover, prices have gone significantly up while food quality and service have gone down. What I previously considered to be their best service (free and speedy delivery) is now run by an outside company that builds their exorbitant delivery charge into your bill automatically. Service in the restaurant itself is very slow - since it does not have many dine-in customers, they only have one waiter per shift and are ill-prepared to handle a sudden crowd. Perhaps the one saving grace is their yummy Greek Salad with Chicken - you may get less chicken for a higher price, but the salad is still made with fresh ingredients and a delicious homemade dressing that I always order extra tubs of to use on salads I make at home. (I think the price is around $9-$11 - the salad is HUGE and can easily feed two people) Restaurant is clean as far as germs and bacteria go, but it is cluttered and the tables are crowded. Register/ behind bar area is easily seen from many tables and employees often choose this area to "hang out" (sometimes having loud/inappropriate conversations) which can be very distracting. The kitchen door is also left open very often, and it is easy to see why the service is delayed - the cooks seem to have no sense of urgency or desire to get meals out in a reasonable amount of time. I sincerely hope Trevisos picks itself up before it loses a long-time customer.
