We have just moved our two-year old to a different (closer) school, but still enthusiastically recommend Happy Faces. Our son was a part-timer, but still enjoyed the full and affectionate attention of staff in a warm and supportive environment. Staff was exceptionally flexible with us about accommodating our schedule and working with us to transition him from the one- into the two-year old group. He had an extremely positive experience and made many friends. Happy Faces never had anything but my full confidence that he would be in safe and caring hands.

My daughter has been at Happy Faces Daycare since 2010. Happy Faces was one of several locations my wife and I looked at when deciding where to have our daughter looked after. As manager at a Fortune 500 Company, it is great to know that at least there is one thing I do not have to worry about during my busy day. The staff and the Director Nayana Betchar have been well above my expectations. This being our first child, we wanted to be careful where we decided and we are thankful each day that we chose Happy Faces Daycare. The program is exceptional and I have seen my daughter grow and develop so much faster than I had imagined (being a first time father). My daughter speaks more clearly and is more attentive to how she interacts at home than many of her friends attending other locations and I believe this is a direct result of the care and dedication of each member of Happy Faces. THANK YOU.

I was thinking about enrolling my son here but never could get a hold of the director cause she is never around. Place doesn't seem well ran. The assistant director was also rude and couldn't answer any of my questions and concerns. Not worth the time.

This place is awful in my opinion. This daycare should be your last resort! There are a lot of great day cares within the area, just do your research and you will find some place better.

Our son enjoyed the first 3.5 years of his life with a wonderful in-home caregiver. The decision to switch to a daycare setting was hard, but necessary. We felt as though he needed structure to his day, social interactions with children his own age, and an age appropriate learning curriculum. We did online research and visited countless daycare centers. Nearly every location was the same- glassed display cases of overcrowded classrooms and stressed out teachers. We just didn't feel comfortable anywhere. When we pulled into Happy Faces, which looks like a house, I felt a bit unsure about the place and a tad bit relieved at the same time.

Mrs. Nayana greeted our unexpected arrival with a warm welcome. She was pleasant, honest, and sincere. We could tell immediately that she genuinely believes in raising happy, healthy, well-mannered and educated children in a fun and safe environment. (Either that or she??s a good salesman! Kidding!) She cheerfully showed us around while also greeting and acknowledging each child by name. It was obvious that she loves each child in her program and they love her. We knew immediately that we could stop searching. Happy Faces felt like home. We were comfortable.

We have been at Happy Faces now for about eight months. Our son has grown more than I ever imagined he would in such a short time. His vocabulary and speech have greatly improved; he??s enthusiastic about learning- writing, reading stories, solving puzzles; he wakes up every morning excited to see his friends and teachers (Ms. Alva, Ms. Tamara, Ms. Amanda- and formerly Mrs. Jessica). We couldn??t be happier with our decision to place the start of our child??s future in the hands of Mrs. Nayana??s wonderful team of dedicated and loving professionals.

Happy Faces is truly like family to us. We have been here for 4 years! We have a 4.5 year old daughter and a 2 year old son that have been going there since they were infants. What attracted us to Happy Faces was the small, "homey" feel that you don't get at a large center, the structure that Ms. Nayana believes in, and the loving teachers and management. I love that we can take the kids, drop them off and not worry a bit about what's going on, who they are with, or what they are doing. It's so refreshing and comforting as parents to have that trust in a daycare center. Every teacher we have come in contact over the years has been wonderful and we have always felt that they genuinely love our kids! Ms. Nayana hires only the best and has very high standards for the employees she brings in. What more can you ask for!

Unfortunately our time has come to an end with Happy Faces, but only because we are relocating. I wish we could move them with us!! I only hope that the relationships that we have all developed with Ms. Nayana and the rest of the staff will be ones that we will continue to hold onto as our children grow. We will definitely be back for visits! I would (and will continue) to recommend Happy Faces to anyone looking for a one of a kind center in Centreville!

We've had our daughter enrolled at Happy Faces for @ 2 years and absolutely love it. When I arrive at night to pick her up, I usually have to drag her out of there, because she is having so much fun playing. At one point, we had decided to bring her to a school closer to our home, for logistical reasons only. After one week at another school, we brought her back to Happy Faces. Happy faces is clean, organized, scheduled and loving. I feel comfortable knowing that my baby girl is being taken care of by such great people.

Dear Viewers: The two recent negative comments posted are currently under investigation and thus far both comments made by ??Anonymous M.? and ??J.Roberts? has been verified to be made under false names. Our Employee Jessica Roberts has already made a statement and posted it and the proclaimed Anonymous M. will be making their own honest comments in the near future. The investigations are leading to several previous employees that may be disgruntled.
As to new clients looking for childcare, we at Happy Faces would urge you to investigate as many establishments as possible including Happy Faces Daycare. We respect all of the local facilities and understand that each have their own unique characteristics. We wish each of you the best of luck in finding the appropriate facility that fulfills the needs of your child and your circumstances.

As a staff member at Happy Faces, I would recommend this daycare with full confidence to anyone and everyone. Having worked at other daycares, I have never seen an establishment with so many smiling kids, satisfied parents, and dedicated staff. The director, Nayana, and the assistant director, Jessica, are passionate about ensuring that each child receives the utmost attention, instruction, and care, and both are fully committed to making Happy Faces a great environment for all. They really do have an open-door policy, and are very attentive to the concerns of parents and staff.
From personal experience I know that unlike most daycares, the staff here go above and beyond what's required of them and the teachers in each room work together as a team to create a nurturing, organized, and cleanly environment. I also LOVE the feels-like-home atmosphere at Happy Faces. Now that I am expecting a child, I am happier than ever because I know that I don't have to worry about the quality of care my child will receive when I return to work. I see the high caliber of care at Happy Faces each and every day and feel absolutely privileged to be able to send my child there soon!

I genuinely love Happy Faces, nothing can compare to it based on the simple fact that Happy Faces is not trying to capitalize off our children. Happy Faces does not and will not offer your child a cookie cutter daycare/preschool experience but rather a home in which they can learn and grow. Ms. Nayana stands out among peers because of this; she understands children and wants to create an environment where your child can feel special. Not to mention that she operates Happy Faces like a family unit and strives her best to make sure both staff and clients are happy.

We LOVE Happy Faces and are sad to leave, but we can't take Ms. Nayana and her whole center with us to another state ;-)

Our son has been at HF since he was six weeks old and now he is almost 2 and a half! He loves going to "school" and seeing all of his friends. Despite some tears on grumpy mornings, the staff are always cheerful and determined to set him at ease with spending the day at HF. I have never seen a child at HF that is screaming as if he can't stand to be there -as I've witnessed at other day cares.

The staff is caring and friendly, and genuinely concerned with the welfare of the children. When he was an infant, I got calls during the day to simply give an update of how he was doing, especially if he was teething or recovering from a cold or whatnot.

Ms. Nayana and her staff work hard at making everyone involved comfortable with the day care situation, which can be hard for first time parents who both work. We've never had a moment's unease leaving our son in the care of HF. Our son loves it there too because he always says "bye friends!" with a huge grin and high 5's when we pick him up at the end of the day.

I fell in love with this daycare from my first visit. I was more attracted to the people that work there than to anything else. Teachers are caring and loving, the director is just wonderful. On our first day staff called me to let me know how my 4-month son was doing which made me very comfortable leaving him there. Children are always well cared and entertained and I love the fact that babies get to spend time outside as well. Seeing my son happy every time I was picking him up made me happy as well.
Thank you Happy Faces!

It is hard to believe that 4 years have gone by as it seems like yesterday when we brought our son to the new infant wing when he was 4 months old. We have grown up at Happy Faces and have always felt safe and secure leaving our son when we went to work. He has developed positive relationships with the teachers and made lots of friends; which will be a building block for him throughout his life. We are sad to leave as we are moving to the next step in his education. We wish you and your school many years of positively affecting children??s lives as you have done for ours.

I started working for Happy Faces Daycare in the Summer of 2005. I ended up working there until 2008, moved, and then came back to Happy Faces in the Fall of 2010. Upon coming back I brought my daughter with me who was 10 months at the time. She is now 2 years old, and I have loved not only working at Happy Faces, but I love knowing my daughter is getting the best care she deserves. She is getting the same type of care her father and I strive to give her at home. She was in a commercial daycare for a little over a month, and I saw the disgusting conditions and the way the children were treated in the rooms. Basically, they were left all day to entertain themselves, and I saw my daughter's happy smile disappear. However, when I brought her to Happy Faces I noticed her smile come back immediately. All of the teachers show true compassion and care for their children and there is not a day in which I worry about my child's care. Happy Faces is an excellent daycare, and I feel truly blessed to have my daughter in a home-away-from-home environment.

My son has been going to Happy Faces Daycare for 2 years now. We are extremely pleased with the quality of care and attention he has received at Happy Faces Day Care.

There is neatly segregated sections of the day for reading, play time, creative work, etc. The teachers are pleasant and actually care about the kids. Once when my son was sick and could not make it to the daycare, I actually got a call from the teacher asking me how my son was doing. That felt good.

Overall, it is a nice happy place...living up to it's name. :)

My son has been going to Happy Faces since he was 3 months old and he is 9 months now and we couldn't be happier. One of the main reasons I liked Happy Faces is it was so bright and cheery. I had been surprised by how dark other places were when visiting and I wanted my son to be in a fun and happy environment all day. He loves it and is always happy when we drop him off and pick him up. The teachers are all very loving and helpful with any questions I have for them. They do a ton of activities with the kids, even babies and I love that he is always coming home with different art projects. They also work on things like waving and clapping and I feel that he is developing a lot while being there as well as loving it!

After a horrible experience when I got to my son's babysitter and found out she had left him alone, I was terrified of leaving my 3 month old anywhere. I am very happy to say now, that Happy Faces is excellent. My son has been going there for 4 months now and he is very happy when I leave him, very hapy when I pick him up and very wel taken care of. The teachers show concern for his health if anything comes up. Excellent Place!

We've had our now 6 month old daughter at Happy Faces since she was 3 months old. I looked at Happy Faces first, and then looked at four other day care centers in Centreville before I returned to HF for another look. I felt HF was right the first time I toured, and after looking at the others and returning to HF, I knew it was the place for us. Some of the things that sold me on HF, especially in comparison to other schools: 1. I walked in and toured during a busy hour, and didn't hear babies crying (!!!!!). Instead, one teacher was on the floor feeding a baby in her lap, while the other babies were sitting in a circle around her playing with their toys. No one was left sitting in a swing alone, rather each baby was actively playing and had interaction. 2. They have an outdoor, fenced, shaded area for the babies. On warm days, they take the babies outside (along with toys) to enjoy the sunshine and warmth. I LOVE THIS. Fresh air is so important, and for older crawling and walking babies, it is a great way to explore the elements. Younger babies can sit in their bumbo or bouncer or play on the padded mat. So great. 3. My daughter is not a good sleeper. I have never once had to listen to a lecture or feel bad about my decision to not sleep train her. Also, she is breastfed and did not start solid foods until 6 months old, and I did not get any criticism or hear about any inconvenience this may have caused. I have heard from friends that this sometimes occurs at other day cares. 4. They sanitize toys and play areas twice a day. I believe most daycare centers will TELL you they do this, but I have walked in unannounced and have seen the teachers at HF actually doing it. Saying they will and actually doing it are two different things. 5. The babies are never left without something to do. Meaning, they are never plopped in a bouncer without a toy (As I have seen at other centers, where the baby is left in a swing that is not turned on, without toys, just staring at the wall). They have many different activities, music is always on during the day (soft, sleepy music during nap time, playful music during play time), and they even do a story time. 6. All of her teachers and assistants speak fluent English. While touring other facilities, I noticed this was not always the case. Communication has not been a problem at all for us, and I feel confident that it will not become one. Her teachers are wonderful, warm, friendly, and encouraging. My daughter is happy, playful, and well rested each day when I pick her up. She smiles and giggles at her teachers so I know that she likes them as much as I do. Although pricier than some other schools in the area, I feel that this is by far the best option and worth every dollar. My daughter gets individualized care from her teachers, and they are actively participating in my decisions as far as feeding and sleeping are concerned. I would recommend this day care to any new parent.

This letter is bitter sweet to write because we are nearing the end of our time with Happy Faces. However, my husband and I wanted to take the time to let you all know how grateful we are to have found such a nurturing environment for our son to grow in. When we came to Happy Faces almost two years ago, our son was coming from an in home daycare environment that was no longer working for him or us. He had started going there part-time when he was nine months old and for a year or so, everything was great, but towards the end he was the oldest child and was quickly being labeled a ??problem child?. My husband and I knew that the tension being felt in the home, was beginning to rub off on our son and so we knew we had to do something. We went to several pre-schools looking for the right one and as soon as we met with Mrs. Nayana and toured the facility, we knew that this was the perfect environment for our son. We couldn??t have been more right! The last couple of years have been wonderful and we have had piece of mind each and every day that we leave our son. He went from being the ??problem? to being a happy and well behaved child. He is about to start Kindergarten and can count, knows the alphabet, can write his letters and name, he even surprises us sometimes with how much he has learned. We know that he has been given a great start to his education and was loved and nurtured by all the staff. We truly appreciate everything that Happy Faces had done and if we ever have another child, without a doubt we will be returning!!!

When you find out you are going to be parents for the first time you should be overjoyed with the experience, not overwhelmed by the decision of selecting good, quality childcare. For us there was no question, our baby was going to go to Happy Faces and she was going to be WELL taken care of. When it was time for her to start the staff made her transition as painless for us as possible (it??s always hard to leave you baby for the first time). Happy Faces truly is like another home. When we come in every morning everybody greets us with a warm smile and hugs. But it is my daughter??s smile that tells it all. She loves them! With their help our girl was on a schedule and sleeping thru the night by the time she was eight weeks old. Every night I get a daily report to tell me how her day was. Our daughter is almost one now but we will be part of the Happy Faces family for many years to come. For us there was no decision because I was an employee of Happy Faces for seven years before having our daughter. When we decide to expand our family, our future children will have the same great start that our daughter received because they too will be going to Happy Faces. I have no doubt that they will be well prepared to go to school because I have seen so many children succeed after going to Happy Faces in the past. This is defiantly the kind of place we would have looked for to care for our daughter, I just lucked out because it??s a great place to work too!

We love Happy Faces Daycare. Our 2 year old daughter has been attending for the past year. She loves it there and is truly excelling.
I love that they fill out a little report card for her every day -how she ate, slept, mood, activities, every diaper change (and what was in each diaper).
The staff is wonderful. They are very communicative and responsive to any questions or concerns I may have. We are all very happy with Happy Faces. I would highly recommend them!

When my husband and I were looking for child care for our daughter (who at the time was almost 2 years old) we went to one of the commercial child care facilities and we knew that was not what our daughter needed. It was too big and we felt that she would not get the care and attention that she needed. Happy Faces was the second child care facility we toured. As soon as we met Nayana and toured the facility, we knew that our daughter would thrive in the environment and we have not been disappointed. We currently have two daughters enrolled at Happy Faces. We have never worried about the safety and care of my daughters. They have thrived in the loving and nurturing environment that Happy Faces provides. In the fall our younger daughter will be in kindergarten and we have no worries about whether she is prepared for kindergarten because we know that she is just as well prepared as our older daughter was. Happy Faces has been a home away from home for our daughters and we feel very fortunate to have found such a great place.

We switched our son to Happy Faces from another daycare when he was 5 months old. He has thrived since then (is now 12 months old)....leaps and bounds beyond what we would have had at another center. The teachers genuinely love the kids, and provide consistent care, which was so important to us. There was one instance that I had to pick him up due to illness and was visibly worried. One of the teachers called me at home later to make sure both I and my son were ok - way beyond what I'd have expected. I'd recommend Happy Faces to anyone with a child....infant to preschool.

My daughter came to Happy Faces Day Care as her "first day at school ever", and we expected her to cry for at least a week ( like her sister ), but to our surprise, she did not cry at all. She fit right in and the next day she did not want to stay home. It sound unreal but it is true, the problem was we only registered her for three days a week. So we had to change it to 5 days. The place is not big like other day care I know in Centreville but very neat and clean. Every time I come to pick up my daughter I always try to look at the floor, the toy place, the eating place, the place where your child naps ... to see if anything untidy or unclean. But I have to say that I am very impressed that everything are organized, neat and clean. They clean the floor right after lunch (it is still a little wet when I come after lunch). The only inconvenience is that your kid has to bring his/her own lunch. But the they warm the food and after lunch they clean the lunch container and put everything in place for you to get when you come to pick your kid up. I didn't expect that. The staff are very nice and my child brings home a lot of project she did after just one week.

To Whom It Mat Concern:
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Happy Faces Daycare. During my daughter??s enrollment, I have been extremely impressed with the level of dedication Nayana Betchar and the classroom teachers have displayed toward her preschool experience.
Each day my daughter looks forward to going to school and playing with her classmates and we are always greeted with genuine smiles and ??good mornings? as we walk into the classroom. The preschool provides a caring, safe and creative environment that allows my daughter to play and learn with ease.
It was with the help of Happy Faces Daycare that I discovered that I discovered my daughter??s special education needs. Mrs. Betchar identified resources and support that allowed me to maximize my daughter??s growth and development.
I??d like to express my sincere gratitude for all of their hard work and concern. I have been very thankful and feel blessed to have been involved with a preschool that is second to none. I hope you will consider Happy Faces Daycare for your children

My daughter has attended Happy Faces for two years and I have never had anything but positive experiences. There is no better feeling than walking in in the morning and having her go over to her teacher and give her a hug and say, "I love you!" You can't find that just anywhere which is why we'll be staying with Happy Faces.
Thank you, Happy Faces, for being my daughter's home-away-from-home and allowing me go to work without worry!

My daughter has attended Happy Faces Daycare since she was 15 months old; she is now 3. She has made many friends and truly enjoys her days at school. The teachers are attentive to the children and collaborate with the parents on a daily basis. The kids sing, read, participate in arts and crafts, and learn from the Mother Goose Preschool Program. At the age of two, my daughter knew the alphabet and her colors/numbers; she was singing many songs and had a full vocabulary. My husband and I attribute most of her learning to the Happy Faces environment; I would recommend it to anyone!

Happy Faces daycare is family owned and very well run. My daughter has been going to Happy Faces for over two years (when she turned 3) and our experience has been wonderful. The teachers are caring and gentle, and there is low turnover. The school has lots of interesting toys and a nice play area. The activities are fun and the kids get lots of outside time. They have picnics, bike days, etc. The center is very, very clean. Because it is family owned, it is not impersonal like a commercial day care. I only wish the center had been open when my oldest child was young. I strongly recommend this center if you are looking for Daycare in Centreville. Julie M.
