Prices were reasonable (~$5-$10 per dish for lunch). The menu had lots of variety for Lebanese food. The waitress was nice and did a good job with our order and serving us. My colleagues also think that this restaurant is good. The only thing that I didn't like was that the bathroom was out of soap.

This new restaurant is a gem of a find in Arlington; the food is authentic and diverse. It is located conveniently near the Ballsto Metro. A pretty decent wine and beer list is available, but due to the healthy focus there is no hard alcohol. The food is phenomenal. Healthy shakes, grape leaves, pizza, lamb and salad are examples of the diversity of the menu. Your tastebuds will not be disappointed. Exellent date venue, good pace to go to dinner with friends, and a wonderful place to grab a quality bite for lunch. Give this place a try and you will keep coming back for more.

(Note: Although at the same address as the old Flat Top Grill, this is a different restaurant. Some of the reviews need to be updated-they are no longer relevant).

Tried the Flat Top one time and will never do it again. I was starting to put together the mongolian affair and saw small roaches running in and out of the sunflower seeds. I put my plate down and walked out. Can't bring myself to go back.

As a newcomer to the neighborhood, I was so glad to find flap top girll It's a restaurant that welcomes the combination of fine dining and educating the guest on different types of food, wines, etc. The staff not only is warm and inviting, but knowledgable of its product and can comfortably give you the history. I absolutely reccommend going for dinner, you will leave incredibly satisfied.

i'm not sure if the owner of this 9 branch chain has ever experienced a traditional mongonian bar-b-q. quality point knock down #1, front door gets stuck (not fun when you're anxious to escape that bitter winter chill), #2 seating was directly under the vents causing things like napkins to blow off the table & general discomfort, #3 the menu selection for stir fry (I don't know about many others but i don't like to be confused by what shouldn't require an explanation when i'm eager to get something as simple as "mongolian bar-b-q in my stomach"), #4 the appetizer was very generic (just plain disappointing), #5 the stir fry, what they call "mongolian bar-b-q, this was the last straw. first off the bowls were much smaller than i had expected (especially for the price which ran from about $11 for 1 bowl to $15 for unlimited), there was an overabundance of vegetables & sauces to choose from, the meats sitting out in the open buffet style with everything else didn't seem too sanitary. i can honestly go on about the rest of this disappointing experience but why bother. The thing that got me more upset than anything is the five star rating this place had recieved by either one or more people who had no business writing a review unless their prior experience with mongolian bar-b-q was equivalent to scooping leftovers out of a gutter. i don't expect this place to last very long, especially in an area that is thriving with such a diverse selection of great ethnic restaurants.

PROS: good location
CONS: everything else

Flat Top Grill is one of these "do it yourself" stir-fry/Mongolian grill places. You pick out your ingredients, and sauces and they cook it for you. They have many soy items, meats and seafood. The veggies are of great variety and very fresh. Sit outside if you can...the inside is small and loud. Sign up for their e-mails and you get a free meal within two weeks of your birthday.
