we got a new vehicle 2 months ago and they knew my wife was out of work for 30 days and the finance was supposedly approved and we had to make a down payment with the trade in however after being told by them to cancel the payment for the old van. The financing is still not approved and the they have not paid off the old car and they will not take the down payment but still have the new car and the old car finance company keeps extending us until hopefully they will get the financing together. So maybe i will return the new car which now has over 3,000 miles on it and get the old one back

When I first started taking my 3 cars for service - no complaints and I was very pleased- but over the past two years - GBDodge Servie has bottomed out for some reason. I have several problems in my daughter's car...massive oil

I have had long ongoing issues with this paticular dealership. First of all when I owned my first diesel truck the dealership ran another vehicle into the mirror of the truck. It left a rust orange color on it and I had to complain and go to great lenghts just to have it fixed. Then I traded that vehicle into another dealership and got a 1500 Dodge Ram standard gas truck. With that truck I had gotten into a car accident and needed it to be fixed so I brought it down to Greenbrier Dodge and asked if they were able to do it, but that I needed to straighten some things out with my insurance company and told them specifically not to drive the vehicle. However the next day my husband was driving on the 464 highway and saw what he thought was our vehicle he immediately called me and told me to contact Greenbrier Dodge and see where the truck was. So I did exactly that they told me they were looking right at it and it was just sitting waiting to be worked on. I told my husband and then he asked what the license plate was for our vehicle so I read it off to him and he confirmed that the vehicle on the 464 was our truck. He then followed our truck and found himself at the firestone in norfolk where the person driving our vehicle was picking up someone and then going to the body shop. My husband confronted the person and confirmed it was our vehicle and made the person bring our vehicle back home. We then approached Greenbrier about the issue and told them that it was an unauthorized drive and that they better rectify it; which has yet to happen. Then the dealerships General Manager stated theyd do something to make up for the unauthorized drive of our vehicle and stated theyd make up for it. We decided a a little while later after the incident to trade that vehicle in and get another diesel truck. So we attempted to allow Greenbrier Dodge the chance to redeem themselves for illegally driving our vehicle. They matched a deal that we had going with Hall Dodge and requested to have the options matched as best as possible. The vehicle we bought from Greenbrier dodge was lacking fog lamps a bedliner and a automatic dimming mirror so they agreed to do so. However while signing paperwork I only noticed that the fog lamps were put into the contract so upon asking about it they said to match the price they had to do the numbers correctly and not to worry they'd add everything to match the other vehicle as best they could. It ended up that that was a lie they didnt add the bed liner or the automatic dimming mirror and I ended up having to pay out of pocket to add those options. I confronted the General manager and he blamed it on poor communication between him and our sales person. Even though from the beginning we stated that we wanted those options no matter what. Then on our paperwork for the dmv they put that we purchased the vehicle on 5/29, but we bought it on6/1. They didn't title it correctly even though I paid for it to be titled to tow enough weight. My lender still a month later has not received anything from the dmv stating that the vehicle has been titled and if it not done within the first 60 days my loan will change. Then lastly the bedliner started pealing up so we wanted it fixed. I am in the military and moving so I only had a short amount of time to do so. The dealership made it very difficult becuase I could not get a rental car from them but it had to be gone for several hours. I had it scheduled to be done 7/1 and it never got done-only my oil change was done, and then I was told at the latest it would be finished by 2pm on 7/2, but it wasn't done until 6pm 7/2. The General manager meanwhile this was going on was stating that my husband and I were being difficult and cursing and causing problems for them and that we were threatening them which is NOT true. We never did anything and I dont appreciate the disrespect or the slander. Now he states we cant talk to the owner and if we try or come there he will call the police. He is making it impossible to solve our problem rationally. We are not the only one's who don't care for Greenbrier Dodge either. I just want action against these dealerships that have 5 stars whom of which probably shouldn't have those 5 stars, but think it's okay to walk on people screw them over or treat them unfairly. People need to see this dealership for what it is. I have friends whom have gone their and they had just as bad of an experience and unlike them I knew to contact Daimler Chrysler and complain so that at the end of the year when it's time to assess if they can continue to have a 5 star dealership! So people should know-heck Fiat should know what they've bought into-Damiler Chrysler's dealers arent exactly customer service saavy! This is off dealerrater.com:(they're overall rating is: 2.6/5)

Bought a new 2008 Dodge Charger back in May. Overall a very good experience at Greenbrier Dodge. They called back after my wife made an Internet inquiry. We live on the Peninsula and tried some dealers in the area. They didn't seem to eager to sell a car (it should have been obvious I wasn't "Just Looking"). The salesman was helpful and they worked hard on the price of the vehicle. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that I had an interest rate from our bank before I went. My bank told me that the dealership could probably do better. First interest rate the dealer's finance manager proposed was very high. He then went back and got an excellent rate.I recently took the car in for it's first oil change and the service department was quick and courteous. Definitely a very good dealership all around.

I purchased my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado from an excellent salesperson there. I was given the opportunity to drive the truck for a couple of hours, before I went in to do paperwork. I purchased the truck for $3600 under KBB price. I spent no more than 30 minutes doing paperwork. The entire time your there they play music and have people running around clapping and whistling. Overall an exciting atmosphere. I give them 5 stars.

First off, I'd like to say I'm 19 years old. I just graduated highschool, and I just got a decent paying job. So I went looking for a nice used vehicle.

Greenbrier Dodge says they give every used vehicle a close inspection, where they all say they go over the vehicle with a "fine tooth comb."Greenbrier Dodge sold me a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab Pickup Truck.

Two days after having the truck, I checked the oil. Not only was I missing over 1 quart of oil, the oil was black. It had not been changed. Also, my front right tire was bald on the outside, belts were starting to show, and they stamped a new inspection sticker on it. It should not have passed.

I work at sears, So I had an oil change done to the truck immediately along with a allignment. That with my discount cost me about $55 The front right tire was supposed to be between .02-.08 it was a .31 before allignment. I had to spend about $160 for a new tire.

One month after having the truck, they brought to my attention the truck needed new brake pads and rotars. Greenbrier Dodge should of fixed this in the inspection.

Not even a week after, Two of my power windows seized up at once. It was under warranty, So I took it back to Greenbrier Dodge to get it fixed, also with the transmittion to be looked at, it was making a "clicking" noise. When I brought it to them, they notified me that the truck had a recall on the upper ball joints. They fixed my windows, and also replaced the transmittion solenoid pack that was faulty even at the time of purchase.

To do that work, they had to hold my truck for two days, They could not give me the free rental they offer because I am not 24 years of age.

When the truck was ready for pick up, I went to get it. I started to drive it off their lot and it made a loud clanking noise from the front right wheel. Sounded like a wind chime in a coffee can. Since it was just a noise, I drove it to work anyway that day, I had missed two days of work for not getting the rental. I had to go to work. I pulled into the sears parking lot, which is literally across the screet, and my steering got really poppy, jerky, and was making that noise even worse.

I immediately turned around and took it back to the dealer. I had to wait yet another day without a vehicle.

I got the truck back the next day, and they said the noise was a "rock stuck behind the rotar" I'm not sure if that was true or not, they would not want to admit if it had been a mess up, but the truck was working for the time, so I let that go.

About three weeks later, I was driving down Yadkin Rd. in Chesapeake, Va. I was going about 35-39mph and suddenly my front right tire fell completely sideways. The truck felt like it hit the road in the front, and I went air bourne into a 4ft deep ditch.

I hit my head on the ceiling, plus the steering wheel hit me in the leg. I had mild bruising and inflamation. I was not able to go to work for another 2 days.

What happened was
A)The nut on the upper ball joint was never put on, or
B)the nut backed itself off due to the pin not being big enough.

none of the threads on the ball joint were stripped, and the pin was still in the bottom of the joint. How can that happen? The nut would of sheared that off.

This incident happend on Dec 14th 2006. Today is Jan 11th 2007 and nothing has been done to resolve this issue as of yet. The weekend before this incident, my parents were in the Pokeyno Mountains pulling a horse trailer that did not have a braking system. Their lives, along with mine could have been lost.

The dealer did not take blame for the issue, but they did ask a Chrysler Rep to come down and see if it was a Manufacturer Defect, we just got a letter in the mail this week and It was denied, but the inspector found signs of recent service.

Two days ago I faxed a copy of the letter to Sean, the Service Manager for Greenbrier Dodge, and they are still trying to deny they are at fault. They are hoping that I am too stupid to know any better, and that I will just let my insurance handle it because I get so frustrated. Im not going to let this happen.

I would recommend this place to anyone that is wanting to buy a dodge vehicle. I went there with a finacle issue and they helped me right away, I walked out with a brand new dodge ram 1500 with low paments. That was after I went to every other dealership and they turned me down or jacked up my payments. I told this place what I could handle and they did it for me in a timely fashion. SO I would go ther if I was you . I know that is the only place I will buy a dodge from.
