To say that I was SHOCKED at the customer services provided by the clerk in this stoor would be an understatement.

A Podiatrist's office suggested that I go to the store to get some inserts for my walking shoes and I went right away. The clerk was rude and, frankly, snotty to me when I asked how they evaluate what you need in the way of inserts/arch supports. I asked her if you stand on a machine to check out the foot and she said no. I asked her then if she just looks at the arch and made a guess. I did not want to spend $36 on inserts (with no refunds) if they were not right. She then told me that I needed to go someplace else with no other discussion on how the foot is measured or how she might help me. I was stunned!! She told me they "did not want my business" -- as God is my Witness, those were her words!!!

I would hope that the owner is aware of just how "off-putting" this woman is ( & I am sure he knows who it is because I would bet there have been other complaints). Of course, I will never shop there and will advise my friends not to shop there either.

When I visit my Podiatrist's office again, I will share my experience with them because they may not wish to continue suggesting to their patients to go there. What a shame.

I was very pleased with the customer service that I received at Foot works. I have not been in a shoe store in a long time where they took time with you went to the back and got your selections and sat down and put them on for you and tied or buckled them up. I did not think this type of customer service still existed. It did not matter how much the shoes cost I would buy them and continue to come back and refer people. I pray that they keep it up. They get a A from me.

I was very unhappy with my experience at Footworks. The store manager at one point said with a knowing voice, "Ok, we'll do it your way for now, and then we'll do it my way." ??!! I purchased a pair of shoes at this store, decided I didn't like them, and took them back to the store about a week later. I was informed that they have a no refund policy, only store credit. I don't remember them telling me that when I bought the shoes, but maybe I was distracted. I know they told me if I wanted to return them they had to be in the original condition, not having been worn outside, so I made sure to keep them pristine. When I asked the store manager if she could contact the owner about getting a refund, she told me that there was no way she would call him on his day off, and then she went into a 2 minute spiel of when she would call him--if the building was on fire, if the roof caved in, etc. It was very interesting to say the least. She said I could come back the next day and the owner would be there and I could talk to him about a refund, maybe he would make an exception. So, I went back the next day, to talk to the manager in person. He said the policy is no refunds and he has never made any exceptions. Now, that store manager told me she has worked there for many, many years, so she knew that, and yet, she still suggested I go back and talk to the manager. It was a waste of time and energy, and I felt like it was a bit underhanded on her part. In any case, I tried to find something else I liked, and I did, but they didn't have it in my size. The man said that I had a year to use the credit, but I did not want to drag it out that long--I really never wanted to enter that store again. So I picked something to use up the credit and that was that. I would not recommend this store to other shoppers.
