Best Vet place in the entire area~!~ No unnecessary testing on our dog of 14 yrs! Gave him meds which has stopped his pain and even if we get a few more months we thank them for all their care and professional service to us!

I have been taking my and my family's dogs here for years and have never been treated poorly, as the last reviewer stated. When my 6 year old dog started acting weird...I called the vet and she had me come right in, even though it was a Saturday...a very busy day, I'm sure. When it turned out she had to be put down, they took us to a private room, and in the end, led us out through the backdoor so we wouldn't have to face the waiting room. When it was time to pick up her ashes...they were very considerate, and even included a sympathy card (handwritten!). it's the small things that really ease the pain in situations like that, and I appreciated everything they did for my girl.

I took my pup here because she was very sick. They examined her and decided she displayed all the classic symptoms of porto systemic shunt. The pup was 17 weeks old and I could not let it suffer another minute. So based on that fact and the information from the Vet Dr. Hoffman I had to put my beloved Ethel to sleep.I informed the breeder of the situation as instructed by the Animal Medical Center.I ask for compensation from the Breeder and she called the center to discuss the situation. Dr. Hoffman would not stand behind her assessment of the situation when ask but was very emphatic about the condition when explaining it me. Not very professional in my opinion. As a result the breeder would not honor my request for any type of compensation. I spoke with Hoffman and she still believes her initail assessment of PSS was valid and she would have had the pup put down based on what she knew to be true. The fact is when her opinion really counted for something she wasn't willing to stand behind the assessment she was so certain to be correct. The Center is fortunate to have a good vet tech and front desk staff but I would not recommend any of their Vets. For the $200.00 I paid to the clinic I surely didn't get much service. This is why there are so many puppy mills...professionals in the animal busniness are not willing to stand up for what is right.
