I can't say I would recommend the place, the customer service was quite poor and the selection wasn't great.

I went to I Thee Wed hoping to try on some Alfred Angelo dresses that I had looked into for a friend's wedding. As my friend lives in the midwest and I'm on the east coast, I was pretty much on my own for the physical shopping for bridal dresses, although we had discussed dresses and agreed on several Alfred Angelo styles as options. When I arrived, one woman was on the phone and said she would be with me shortly. As I waited, another woman approached and asked if she could help, then when I began discussing dresses, informed me that she didn't speak English well, and that I should wait for the other woman. I waited as the woman finished a call, and then she asked if I was looking for the dresses on the print offs that I had. I said yes, and she directed me towards a couple of racks and told me the dresses were there. I had expected to have some help finding the dresses, which was why I had printed off style numbers and pictures, but I was pretty much left on my own. I had to ask several times for assistance in finding some of the dresses, and all of the dresses were in fairly large sizes (10 was the smallest in any dress I tried), which didn't work too well for me since I'm quite petite in addition to being thin. The woman at the counter did offer to clip the dresses so I would get a better idea of fit, and I headed back to try some of the dresses on.

The fitting room assistance was minimal, with one woman handling both a bride in store and myself, and I ended up not liking many of the dresses I had picked. I decided that I did like one style well enough to go through the trouble of flagging the woman down to get help in clipping it, and she clipped the dress to help me get an idea of fit. The woman repeatedly came back as I was considering and told me that the dress looked great. I was already beginning to feel a bit pressured at this point, but decided that since I had favored this dress before I came in, I would go with it.

Although I had told the woman when I came in that the wedding was out of state and I would be travelling, as well as the date, she didn't clearly express that the dress might not be possible to order in that time until I had already started filling out paperwork. She called the company to order and said the dress could be there by the 7th of September. The overall tone of the interaction was quite pushy and unprofessional, with the woman rudely making a comment that I should "eat a cheeseburger" while telling the company that my size was zero under the company's measurements (I usually wear a junior's size 5-7) and then quickly stating that "that was a joke". My mother, who was with me, pointed out again that I would need to fly out to the wedding, and we might need to alter the dress, and asked that we get the dress by the 4th of September, since the staff woman was specifying the 7th as the "wear date" on the phone for the order.. We were told by the woman that it wasn't possible to get this date as a wear date for the dress at that time, and that the 7th would have to do. She said that the dress may get there as early as two weeks previous to the 7th. My mother and I stated that we weren't sure that we wanted to order the dress if it might not get there before I had to fly out to the wedding. The store wanted a deposit of $100 on the dress, and I was on a tight budget to start with, so if the dress didn't arrive exactly on time and in perfect condition, I would have no dress. The woman began to act quite perturbed with us and snappishly told the woman on the phone from the company that she would "have to call her back". We had told the woman previously that we weren't sure of the purchase until we knew the delivery time of the dress, and she acted as though we were suddenly being problematic. After being treated quite rudely for a period of about ten minutes and told that we should just order the dress (as she repeatedly said "this is the best I can do" and treated us as though we were t), even though the woman could not guarantee that it would be there on time, I stepped outside for a moment because I was feeling quite upset and flustered.

When I came back in and stated that I didn't think I could buy the dress, the woman began to explain that Impressions brand dresses would come in more quickly. At that point, I had no desire to buy anything from the store, due to the rudeness. When I came in and stated the date, the woman should have directed me to dresses with a shorter order time from the start, rather than trying to convince me to buy a much more expensive dress that might not get there in time.

Extremely poor service that was of no help, and I left with no dress.

I just bought my wedding dress from I Thee Wed. I couldn't be happier with the service i received, the atmosphere is laid back. the ladies friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. The customer service and personality of this store is genuine. Unlike Davids Bridal where i was accosted at the door by a fake toothy grin and nasal hello.

I was trying on dresses and was offered no help from anyone. No one even paid any attention to me. I had a very hard time trying to clip the dress in the back myself to fit for review in the mirror. A group of people were sittin up on a platform eating and one man in his office working. I felt uncomfortable about bugging anyone to help me so I just tried to do it myselt to the point of frustration. All the other boutiques I went to gave me one on one attention and helped me clip my dress to fit for review. I would never reccommend "I thee Wed" for good service. Hopefully they read this and make some changes.

We shopped at I Thee Wed for my daughter's wedding dress this past Saturday. The staff and selection were amazing. They were very helpful when we wanted it and let us try on as many dresses as we chose. Wish we had come here first. Went to David's Bridal in Woodbridge on Friday and were incredibly disappointed. David's was more concerned about keeping their dresses in order on the racks than they were with assisting you in finding the perfect dress. I would recommend I Thee Wed to anyone. We walked out on Saturday with the perfect dress and veil at a good price and the perfect smile on my daughter's face.

I thee wed was amazing. When I first got there I was not impressed but looks can be deceiving. The sales people there are very helpful and the prices on the dresses reasonable. Also the alterations lady claudit was GREAT! Not only was she timely but she was reasonable on her prices as well I would recommend this little shop to anyone. I had went to david's as well and nothing compared to the time and effort these people put not me and helping me find my perfect dress.

I went to I thee wed last weekend thinking to use it as a practice session, if you will, for a larger store. It FAR exceeded my expectations! The sales women were so helpful and gracious. I love that they were not at all pushy! They let you grab dress after dress and try them on to your heart's content. They stop by to make sure you have no questions. They were wonderful about the prices, and so easy to talk to! Don't be fooled by the store's first appearance. Thus place is a gem!

I bought 2 flower girl dresses at I Thee Wed and upon getting home, realized I needed to return them due to a mistake on my part with spending double what we could afford. The dresses were STILL AT THE STORE; I never took them home since they were going to press them for me. They DO say all sales are final and no returns, which had I realized, would have kept me from shopping there in the first place. I find it upsetting that not only will the store owner not return my calls (daily since I bought these), I can't even find this business listed with the BBB to register a complaint. I would recommend if you live in Fredericksburg, VA take the time to go to Richmond or Alexandria, plus J.C. Penney sells lovely dresses for girls among other trusted department stores (on-line only for the most part these days).

The ladies at I Thee Wed were very gracious when I had purchased my dress elsewhere before moving to the area, but I needed to buy accessories - shoes, veil, etc. and have alterations done. They were very kind and assisted me with my dress, even when ultimately I did not purchase anything from the store. (Not because of quality or availability, but because of my plans changing.) When looking at their dresses, I was impressed with the selection in store and available to order. Prices were about average on most of the bridal lines I compared.
