This place is literally a block from our apartment and we've been a few times. We love it! It's real Mexican food with a Mariachi band who plays during dinner. Definitely makes you feel like you're in Mexico.

The food has been outstanding with great prices. Platters start at just $12 and fajita combos start at $17. The portions are very big and usually have leftovers for lunch the next day. Margaritas are also tasty and you can buy them by the half or full pitcher. Tuesday nights are their $5 margaritas and they also serve weekend brunch. Sometimes it takes a few minutes from the time you sit down until you're actually greeted by a server. However, once the order is finally placed, the food doesn't take long to get to your table. It's never packed but always a steady stream of patrons.

This is our go-to place for Mexican. Definitely a must try!

Went there for lunch with two friends and was surprised by the updated menu. It is a great place that you can get back into since our last president visited there it was a little busy to say the least.
The sauces are great and all the things we tried were fantastic.

I love this place. I used to go here all the time when I lived nearby. Just visited again and glad to see that the food is good and abundant. Great chips too!

The food here is good with both Mexican and Salvadorean food. President Bush ate here once and they have a chair painted for him. The portions are generous on your plate. Parking can be a touch difficult. The service is generally fast but not the friendliest.

PROS: good food
CONS: parking issues

The best mexican-style cuisine in D.C.! A must eat! The service is fast and friendly and the food is fantastic. The salsa alone is to die for. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the walls are bedecked with traditional El Salvadorian decorations. If you miss this place, then you are missing a real treat! I make sure to stop in at least once a month.

If you're in the hankering for a good Mexican meal, head on over to El Paso Cafe. There menu includes the traditional Mexican fare, served up delicious!

The atmosphere is nice. The employees are friendly, helpful, and are always smiling. Parking may be an issue on busy nights, as their lot is pretty small. You can usually park accross the street without problem though.

On weekend nights they usually have Mexican mariachi singers.

So, sit back and enjoy one of their delicious Margaritas (highly recommend them) and listen to the mariachis play.

PROS: Food, Margaritas, Music!
CONS:
