Due to limited space I cannot leave my full review, so this will be a basic overview. I wish I could tell our whole story, because no one was HONEST with me when I was looking. We signed our son up for Kindergarten and it went downhill from there. This school lacks a solid academic background (lots of important studies ie: music, Spanish, P.E., not offered till it is too late, if ever), it makes up for that with its very ridged iron fist. Kids are scared into being good in the eyes of the faculty. 5 yr old are expected to SIT at their tables for 4 out of 6 hours every day doing workbook page after workbook page. Nap means SLEEP for 1 hr, or their sticker gets moved (implying they have SINNED and God is disappointed in them). Recess in a joke. No running on the smaller fenced in playground, but they are taken out to run laps IN THE PARKING LOT, so they can burn off energy. The bigger playground in the back is severely run down with broken equipment & a junk car in the woods. Several kids in my sons class feared the teachers & aides. No cafeteria, eat at your table. He didnt stop crying in the mornings like I was told he should after the first few days/weeks. Months into it STILL cried daily and when he begged me to please take him out of the school I thought what am I doing to my son??. I talked to the teacher & principal several times, & was told by the Principals husband If he were my son [they have no kids] I would just tell him he had to go because the other kids were. I knew then how seriously BAD this was. I was sick to my stomach that night & we pulled him out right after that. Hindsight being 20/20, he should never have been enrolled. Luckily a few weeks after he was take out he was back to the same old kid I had know in Aug, before school. Now he is enrolled in a FANTASTIC school in Charlottesville, & we are ALL so much better for it. Keep looking!!!!!!!

PROS: NONE - except that we are OUT
CONS: All of the above review
