Don't get me wrong. I really love their food. I go there very often for a treat. But they are not Chinese food. Well, they look like Chinese food and they claim they are Chinese food, but have you ever seen a single Asian working in that restaurant? I think their food is highly Americanized, and so is the dining environment. I am not saying it is a bad thing. I think it is good to enjoy great food in a very comfortable and relaxing environment. I just don't think they are Chinese, that's all. My favorite dishes are the Chicken Lettuce Wrap for an appetizer, and Shrimp in Lobster Sauce with Brown Rice for the entree. This Brown Rice, I have to say, is very unique. I have not had anything quite like that. When I order Chinese food (or approximate Chinese food), I usually go with the traditional White Rice. But this is one exception. The prices are slightly higher than what you would expect in a Chinese restaurant, but this is expected because they certainly don't look like a regular Chinese take-out place. The appetizers are around $7 more or less, and the entrees are approximately $11 more or less. So its pricing is comparable to a casual dining restaurant. The location is extremely busy for dinner service. Sometimes you can wait up to an hour during peak hours. I usually try to arrive early or avoid dinner altogether. I love the food, but it's not worth my precious time. Also the parking is a huge pain, too. This restaurant is in the Fairfax Corner Mall, and the parking is notorious throughout the mall.

PROS: Unique brown rice. Delicious food. Casual and relaxing environment.
CONS: Long wait during dinner hours. Horrible parking situation.

                              .

The atmosphere at the restaurant is wonderful. The waiters are nice, the food is incredible, and the price is just right. The only complaint I might have is that its hard to get a table on the weekends; most of the time its around 15 to 20 minute wait. But its definitely worth the wait because you will more than likely want to go back the next week.

                              PROS: Great Food

                              Nice atmosphere; really good food
Well it's located in the Tyson's II mall, and so it's always busy... and so you have a wait but you have a pager.. so it's okay.
Definitley the Best Chinese food we have every had.
We love this restaurant, but I hate to wait for seating and meal to arrive. Despite the delay and overcrowding, it's worth it. That is why I rate it so highly. They give out beepers that work nearby inside the mall because it so crowded. They are apparently offering a "call ahead" option now, that puts you further up in the queue, but not permitting reservations.

                              Message from P.F. Chang's

P.F. Chang’s is a restaurant concept that honors the 2,000-year-old Asian tradition of wok cooking and believes in making food from scratch every day in every restaurant. With a Farm to Wok food philosophy at its core, P.F. Chang’s chefs hand-roll dim sum, hand chop and slice all vegetables and meats, handcraft every sauce and wok-cook each recipe, every day in every restaurant using fresh ingredients.

With roots in Chinese cooking, the culinary landscape at P.F. Chang’s now stretches across Asia with diverse, culturally inspired recipes including hand-rolled sushi, Vietnamese-style soups and bowls, traditional Chinese dim sum, wok-fired chicken and beef entrees, and family style noodles and rice. All made from scratch every day.
