Don't waste your time. These people do not know what they're doing. I dropped $1600 to have my car repaired there a few months ago. On the way to Thanksgiving my car started making a horrible sound. I took it to a shop in my parents' town and they found out that I Pham's put the wrong size break pads on my car which why it was making that horrible sound...thank god I didn't have a wreck because my breaks failed. If you value your life you won't use this shop.

I brought my car in because it had failed D.C inspection and emissions. They did a diagnostic on what was needed to pass inspection and gave me an estimate the same day. I had already gotten some quotes on the work being done and the price they had estimated me was very fair. I picked up my car and was shown all the work that was done, and the parts that were replaced. The mechanic even performed a Va emissions test just to make sure it would pass. I took it back to D.C. and it passed with flying colors. I will bring back my car for any work needed in the future. Its a huge plus they are near the orange line metro(virginia square i think), which makes it easy to drop off and get back since i live in D.C.

I have been bringing my cars to Pham's for the past several years. I recommend them because of two major factors: convenience and competitive prices.

Nobody wants to schlep across town or take a day off from work just to get routine maintenance or repairs done. Their family owned shop located in Clarendon is conveniently about a block to the Virginia Square/GMU metro station.

Their prices are significantly less than the dealers and they provide a printed work summary so I can stay compliant with the warranty.

Some of the added bonuses of going to Pham's:

The fast turnaround on repairs and maintenance; most of the time I drop off in the morning and they have it back before the commute home

The way they explain complex car issues in a way I can understand

Their remarkable ability to be able to look up the previous work history so we can plan my maintenance schedule and budget for upcoming service

Their friendly staff

When I have ANY car issues, I can take it to them and feel comfortable that they can resolve it:

routine maintenance (brakes, fluid changes, filters, inspection, emission, resetting dashboard lights and service interval meters)

they fixed those odd squeaks, squeals, rattles and those occasional parts of the car that fall off from everyday driving-stereo and speakers

the time I opened by door in the car wash and my window exploded (yes...i actually did that)

they researched an oil pressure problem I had and resolved it

they got me using the right weight oil and the problem has not re-occurred

they introduced me to a nearby shop that fixed a nasty accident repair

they obtained some hard to find accessories for less than the dealer's prices

I asked a friend if he knew of a good shop to work on my car. He recommended Pham's Car Care, and since a good mechanic is hard to find I drove 20 miles from my house to have my vehicle serviced by them. I found service to be of excellent quality, far better than the dealer I am used to. Thy who runs the front told me what they were going to do, and they did just that. I got my car back, and after having my clutch replaced in my BMW M5 it felt like a brand new car. Mr. Pham took a few minutes to talk to me about upcoming maintenance issues which I found to be very helpful. All around great experience and actually looking forward to going back, which has never happened to me before...

I have been going to Pham's for years and never had an issue with any of their services, whether it be state inspections or any of the services they offer. I read some of these reviews and just have to laugh at what these people have to say, it shows a lot about this day and age where people come and cry to the internet instead of taking your problem up with the business you have an issue with and give them an opportunity to resolve it. I will continue doing business with them, and they get an "A" in my book.

I have been bringing my car to Pham's Car Care for the last two years and have always been satisfied with their business. It is close to the metro which is a plus. They have always treated me kindly and are very reasonable with the prices for repairs compared to the local dealer. Its also a quick turnaround time to get my car back. They diagnosed my repairs very effectively and gave me the complete rundown on what i would need now and what to expect later. I appreciate that honesty in a mechanic and recommend this shop to everybody.

I take my care to Pham's Car Care Center on a regular basis to do regular maintenance such as oil changes to major overhauls such as brakes, A/C work, and major engine work. They are a family owned business so working with them is fair and we have built a very solid relationship over the years. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

They are nice people who have a great deal of pride in their business. Admittedly, I had a not-good experience with them, and having a total POS car (seriously, buy foreign) that forces me to spend a lot of time with mechanics puts me in a position where I have to often blindly trust what they are telling me is wrong with this POS. I left Pham's feeling like I had been taken, but to my complete surprise I was contacted by Pham's to discuss my complaint. I could have very easily been written off as some raving b**ch, and I admire the sheer audacity it took to confront me. They obviously take complaints very personally, and to me that indicates that they do actually care. I was impressed that they went to the effort to set things right with me, and even given my frustrating experience, I would consider taking my car back to them. They're clean, convenient, and seem to take their business seriously. Good on them for caring enough about their business to confront complaints head-on.

The team at Pham's are always reliable and always helpful. I love that it is family owned and operated. I feel like I can trust them and being a woman it comforts me that the service liasons are Mother and Daughter, as opposed to what I have come across in the past. Each time the Pham family have helped me with making the most economical decision for my vehicles both past and present. I don't know how but Mr. Pham even managed to restart my AC which should hopefully last into next year. Mr. Pham ROCKS!
