I just took my dress in for alterations there because I bought it somewhere else. Alterations were minimal, just take it in a little bit and shorten it. Of course they charged me $450 for that, which is outrageous, but expected when dealing with wedding dresses and I took it to a bridal shop because I thought they would know what they were doing and not screw it up. Well they did. I went in for my first fitting and there were spots all over the dress, very noticeable. The woman tried to tell me that I brought it in that way, even though she wasn't the person I saw. I noticed the spots as soon as she handed me the dress, so I promise I would have noticed them before. She then tried to tell me that they fabric caused the spots... I'm not an expert, but I've never heard of fabric magically spotting itself without someone actually CAUSING it. Then went I went to try it on, she couldn't get it zipped up in the chest area. Now, I've heard of people gaining weight ... worst I could imagine. I just took my dress in for alterations there because I bought it somewhere else. Now, I've heard of people gaining weight and not being able to fit into their dress, but 1) I have actually lost a little since I was last in there and 2) it was my chest and it doesn't magically grow like that overnight. For this, she tried to tell me that side zippers are harder to zip up and she tugged and tugged and tugged until I thought she was going to rip the zipper out. When she finally got it zipped up, it felt like someone was sitting on my chest and I couldn't take a deep breath. The worst part is that they refused to take responsibility for it and were so matter of fact about it, like, "ok we'll see what we can do about getting it fixed for you." What if you don't? Then what? They have 2 weeks to make this right or else they will be buying me a new dress and paying someone else to alter it (on rush).

I tried on a couple of dresses there. The dressing room is large and private, so I felt comfortable. Rosalin is nice and helpful, not too pushy. The collection is not that large, but looked like they have a lot of BM dresses. No pictures allowed.

I bought my wedding dress at Ellie's and my tiara and bridesmaid dresses at Rosalin's. Rosalin's was by far a better experience. At Rosalin's they are friendly before and after the sale. The bridesmaid dresses were elegant, reasonably priced, and ready on time. I would have purchased my gown there, but I was looking for a bateau neckline and all they had was strapless.
