Hole In The Wall Books

I had been past the Hole in the Wall Books many times, but did not stop. Today I convinced my friend to do exactly that. What a treasure. Very good service and many books on every subject. You must go.

...personality. I've been shopping at Hole in the Wall for my comics since 1980. Everybody fits in, the place is comfortable like a favorite pair of jeans. It is far from perfect, there are very few new titles, but if you love a good used book store and like the unique flavor of independent stores instead of the one-size-fits-all sameness of the big chains, HitW is worth a stop. I drive 500 miles to visit my parents in N.VA, but the first sight I go to see is Hole in the Wall, every time.

I started shopping at Hole In The Wall Books to buy out of print books on a budget many years ago and keep coming back for selection and service. I've seen mega used book stores in other areas but rank this one among the best for knowledgeable staff and good stock. They have referred me to other stores and websites and never fail to help.

I've passed Hole in the Wall books so many times on Broad St thinking, "Hmm, I really should stop over and take a look one day." I'm glad I did! The cramped little store is packed wall-to-wall with rows of decently-priced books and comics. If you go into the store with a general idea of what you'd like to read, then you're bound to come out of there with a purchase (or, in my case, several purchases).

The staff is really kind and helpful, always friendly and willing to give you a hand if you need it. I was in heaven when I searched through their comic section. I found a lot of first issues comics that have been long out print! The only con that I see to the store is, yes, it is indeed very small. You wouldn't be able to get around there if you had a wheelchair or walker. Other than that, Hole in the Wall books is a great place with a wide selection of interesting titles. It's really a treasure to see a small business like theirs in quickly-developing part of Falls Church.

Used bookstores are a diminishing resource due to the internet. This one is a national treasure. Suggest going often since the turnover is high. She has a huge selection of comics and SciFi, and a great general fiction selection.

Whenever I'm headed back East, I start a small collection of books that I'll take with me and do a trade-in policy at Hole In the Wall Books. Small, dark and cramped, there is a wide selection of topics to choose from. Give the staff an idea of the type of book you're looking for and they'll find it. I haven't been disappointed with any of the books that I have received during one of my trade in sprees.

I've been getting my comic books here for over a year now, and the staff is great. In over a year, they have never missed one of my titles, and they are great at knowing which titles that aren't on my subscription that I might like. They also are very understanding if I decide not to take any of the extra titles. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.

This little local store is a reader's paradise. If you're looking for ambience and amenities, this is probably not the place for you. Yes, it's cramped, and could use better lighting, but there is an amazing number of books in this little store and the prices can really stretch a reader's budget. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their trade-in policy is a real plus.

This is another great bookstore in Virginia. They mainly feature used books. The store smells a little musty and makes me sneeze often but it is worth it because they have some great books that are harder to find. I never buy newer books here but when Im looking for something unique Im willing to stop by here and peruse their selection.

Hole In The Wall Books is not the cleanest store around, but they do have a pretty fair selection of older books and comic books. The store is fairly dark and drab, but the employees are pretty friendly.

Hole in the Wall Books is a used bookstore on the main drag, Broad Street, in Falls Church VA. It has a huge selection of books, but is very dark and dingy. It is really hard to see what you are looking at and find what you are looking for. I have gotten some good things over the years, though.
