We just purchased a new dishwasher from East Coast Appliance....when it was delivered, we found that it would not fit in the space of our previous one because a new, slightly higher floor had been added. The installer, Ian Moore, worked quickly and efficiently to get us another one that was perfect....also, he came when he said he would and was a very pleasant person.....will definitely shop there again.

Went to the Newport News store, my intent was to purchase high end appliances.(12,000.00). What I found was incompentant, lack of product knowledge employees and management. My "consultant" who was sent out had no idea or brought measurements or requirements. I had to contact the manufactuer in New Zealand! After going round and round, with selling the incorrect size range, then hood. I decided to go to Va Beach (flagship store) to ask for a refund. The items had not been ordered yet. I recieved my $3000 refund I made on my credit card, but was told I would have to wait another week to recieve the remaining amount owed. I paid with a cashier's check. I also got the run around there as well. The person who writes the checks is only there in the morning on Fridays, no the president can not sign the check nor vice president. Should have listened to the DCS rep...Great place to buy scratch and dent, low cost appliances, but don't ask for the "good stuff". You learn about the company and owner's intergity when a sale goes bad. It's sorely lacking. Rob get your head out of the freezer and train your people!

Something simple like using Outlook and/or Google reminders and alerts to generate periodic reminders to 'ping' suppliers and keep my customers informed is apparently beyond the capabilities of East Coast Appliance.

Mr. Murray, You know the description of your purchase of the out of stock LG washer/dryer combo is completely inaccurate. We called you as soon as we discovered that it was out of stock at our distributor. We continued to notify you when we were notified by our distributor of the product not arriving. We checked every distributor in America for you and were told it was out of stock. We offered you a different brand and you declined. You also checked online and found the item was out of stock everywhere. I don't know what else you would expect. We cannot get tracking numbers for containers coming from Korea by boat and then by tractor trailer from California. We told you this. And we do not call you to let you know the product is late, until it is actually late. It is not like tracking a pair of shoes being UPS'd from Zappos. We appreciate your business and all of us here, including me, took the time to search high and low for you and explain to you the logistics of your requested item. We were in touch with you frequently throughout this process. This is as much as anyone in our industry could do.

I recently shopped at East Coast Appliances on Laskin Road. Donna and Kerry gave us excellent service. They were very good at answering our questions and helping us to reach a decision on the dryer we were purchasing. We needed the dryer as quickly as possible for a rental with the renters already at the house. The dryer was delivered on Monday morning, hooked up, and the old dryer taken away. We are delighted with the sales people and the delivery personnel. We went in to look for a used washing machine, and found several at very reasonable prices. The saleslady, Donna Miller, was very knowledgeable of products,and the differences from brand to brand. My husband's birthday was the next day, so he decide for his birthday present - to get a new washer/dryer combo instead. With Donna's assistance, I am now the proud owner of a Fisher-Paykel computerized washer and computerized dryer. It uses a vary small amount (15cc) of laundry detergent, and Donna assurred us that the one bottle of liquid laundry detergent would last about a year. Talk about economical! Looking forward to the arrival of our new appliances on Monday!

Kenny was our technician from East Coast and he was great. Error code E27 on 1.5 yr old Bosch Washing machine. He called, diagnosed the problem on the phone and ordered the part - eliminating two trips. I wish we could have been seen quicker, but I guess ECA is very busy! We will request him next time!

Our experience at East Coast Appliance was to be commended by all the other stores that sell applinaces, especially the larger chains.We were looking for an affordable refidgerator and over-the-range microwave,but didn't want to spend too much.We were greeted when we walked in, but not "STALKED".We were given the chance to explain exactly what we were looking for and not pushed in any specific direction.We saved so much $ that we baought both items the same day and everything was delivered & installed within 3 days!Kim Lynn, was the most helpful sales person & Ian was the best installer ever!! definatley lifelong customers.

I didn't expect much as I assumed you were mainly an appliance store and had added 'bedding" as a "gimmick." I could not have been more wrong - I found great bedding, great selection, great pricing, and absolutely great service. Donna Miller greeted us with a wonderful attitude - gave us guidance and information, but also gave us "space". Needless to say, I had my bed deleivered this past Tuesday. Donna Miller went the extra mile to find the refrigerator that I wanted. When the item was not available in the Laskin store, she checked online but was unable to locate one. She suggested and showed other options to me but I left without making a purchase. The next morning, I received a call from Donna informing me that she had placed calls to other stores and had found the refrigerator I wanted at the Newport News store. She also said she would put it on hold if I wanted to go look at it. I went, I looked, and I purchased with the assistance of Lauren in the Newport News store.
The refrigerator was delivered on 12/31/11. I received a call on 12/30/11 confirming date and time of delivery and again on the morning of the delivery with a 4 hour delivery window. I received another call within the 4 hour window to update the delivery time to within an hour. These updates allowed me to plan my time during the day.
Taarus and his assistant (sorry did not get his name) made my delivery using a strap to carry the refrigerator instead of a dolly. Taarus explained the strap worked better in small spaces and condos so no damage would occur. The appliance was installed and Taarus explained how the settings worked. He and his assistant were very professional and helpful.
Based on the high degree of customer service, I will be a return customer.

About 2 years ago we needed a new freezer for the garage and stopped by the Laskin Rd store. Found just what we needed, had it delivered and they took away the old one. About 3 months ago the dryer broke and due to age, we decided to replace the dryer and washer. Robert Meekins was extremly helpful, set up delivery and again they took away to the old. About 2 months ago,the refig went out and down to the Laskin Rd store we went to find Robert !! He set us up with an outstanding price on a S&D refig and then a range to match !! Both delivered and again they took away the old. Now the wife decided to put a microwave over the new stove, we we head out to find Robert again. He found 1 at a good price and then set up installation service. Eric Rodrigues from service arrived and installed the micro over the stove in a very clean professional manner (order #341742-1) and showed us some valuable usage tips. The only problem is with the Service Dept. office personnel need a little more "Customer Service" training. She is also very knowledgable about mattresses which I also happened to need...East Coast conveniently offers not only kitchen and laundry appliances, but also mattresses and audio/video. In spring of 2011 Kim assisted me with purchase of all new kitchen appliances (all Electrolux, fridge, gas cooktop, double oven, dishwasher, and microwave) and new Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer set. Since I was purchasing appliances ahead of a summer move, she coordinated not only the sale, but also the timing of delivery to ensure everything would be delivered to my house exactly when I needed it. She took a lot of extra time locating the exact models and color I wanted (finding all black kitchen appliances is not as easy as I thought it would be). Kim always has a smile on her face, she is extremely helpful and resourceful, and she keeps her cool under pressure...all great qualities and desirable when working with professional sales associates like Kim.

Customer service,at the Chesapeake location, from sales to delivery of my new refridgerator was outstanding. I expressed what I wanted, salesman Jeff June answered all questions patiently and gave me exactly what I asked for. Delivery by Joe Rodney, timely and superb( he's a strong guy). Very smooth process,a call the night before to comfirm delivery, a call in the morning to give the three hour window delivery time and a third courtesy call " I'm in route to your home' " . Customer service,at the Chesapeake location, from sales to delivery of my new refridgerator was outstanding. I expressed what I wanted, salesman Jeff June answered all questions patiently and gave me exactly what I asked for. Delivery by Joe Rodney, timely and superb( he's a strong guy). Very smooth process,a call the night before to comfirm delivery, a call in the morning to give the three hour window delivery time and a third courtesy call " I'm in route to your home' " . Everyone's happy!!! Thanks for doing such great job East Coast.

I called East Coast Appliance because I smelled gas and was having problems with my Viking Stove. They came that day and fixed the gas leak. The other issue required parts that needed to be ordered and once they arrived they called and came right back. My Viking is fixed, the service by Robert was professional and more affordable than I would have thought and I am very happy with the whole experience.

I wanted to let you know that I'm very happy with the service and timeliness. Robert was very personable and put up with me constantly asking questions. My problem was that the drip tube and collector were clogged and the refrig would leak water periodically on the floor. Robert was quite knowledgeable about his job and did the repair quickly.

As I entered the salesroom at East Coast Appliance, I was greeted by a friendly sales person named Donna. She listened closely to what I wanted to possibly purchase. I had come with a list of the items I wanted, and sizes, and was committed to getting the best buy possible. She focused on the things I wanted and on keeping the cost down. She was not rushed and made me feel comfortable. When I asked if by paying cash the overall cost could be reduced even further she checked with her manager who did offer me a fridge that was usually $100 more. So it would have saved me that amount. But I preferred the original one. All in total I purchased a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer. They were delivered on time and the delivery men were very thorough and took the old appliances and installed the new ones. When I needed a couple of the manuals, I let Donna know and was able to obtain them. I would encourage anyone wanting a good deal and personal assistance to consider East Coast Appliance. I think this is more pertinent since I am a woman and in my adult life had never had to purchase these items alone. Many thanks!

Purchased GE front loader washer and dryer. Great price and Daniel Hines provide next day follow up visit to correct a very minor fit and finish problem with a panel on the washer and to reverse the door on the dryer. Daniel went out of his way to insure everything was perfect!

Very pleased with my experience at East Coast Appliances on Laskin Road. Donna Miller helped me with my purchase of a new front load washer. She had answers for all my silly questions and was easy to work with. I was in, purchased and out within 30 minutes! Even the guys who loaded the machine in my truck for me were a blast. Super helpful and explained how to install it myself. A service rep, Joel Boone, came out after regular hours, identified the problem and provided us with important information. We had a prompt followup call from Dara Collins, who advised us of our options and made helpful recommendations. The service from these folks was so great that we wrote to their boss.

Glenn Hatcher assisted us and informed us of the $200 Laundry Pair Rebate and the $75 Virginia Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program. I have spoken to people who have purchased Energy Efficient appliances from other vendors and were never educated about this government offer. We also purchased the 5 year Protection Plan.
