Kingsview Animal Hospital

This morning, just before 9am, my 2 dogs had both started twitching and shaking within about 10-20 mins of each other, so my fiance took them to Kingsview and they said they would call us if they found anything. We had used a fire extinguisher in our house this past weekend and even though we thought we had cleaned thoroughly we still have been finding little bits of residue in unexpected places, so we thought maybe the dogs had ingested some and were suffering some sort of poisoning.

Around 1 i called the vet to check up on the dogs having not heard back from them, and they said both dogs were acting fine, and they did urine and fecal tests but didnt feel a blood test was necessary. So I asked them to do one anyway because I wanted to know what was wrong with my dogs. And they said they would. Afterwards I called the pet poison helpline to see if they could suggest anything to look for in my house. And it wasnt until after I had left the case number with the receptionist did the Veterinarian show ANY concern for the safety of my dogs. AND THEN she had the gall to say "they probably had just had a seizure in which case they would have been fine and blood work wouldnt have shown anything anyway." My dogs are 6 and 2 years old. NEITHER of them has EVER had a history of seizures and now the BOTH get one at the same time??? I dont think so.

When I consulted 2 other vets on this matter, both said the first thing they would have done was a blood sample as well as called poison control immediately. My dogs showed symptoms of POISONING and they brushed it off as seizures. I am NEVER EVER putting my dogs in the hands of these idiots EVER again.

This past Saturday my family and I had to make the decision to put our ailing dog down. Your practice was wonderful. Dr. Grim and Vet tech Denise M showed my husband and I the utmost kindness and concern. It was very peaceful. We can honestly say that our best friend whom we have loved for 13years found peace and no longer suffered from Kidney Disease. Thank you from Lisa and Andy Springfield Virginia.

Our shorkie was pregnant with her and our first litter. Dr. Hart gave us a number to call in case she went into labor on a Sunday. Turns out that number wasn't needed but an emergency C-section was and he was able to save mama and 2 of the 3 babies. Apparently the puppies were a little too large and she wouldn't have been able to birth them without help.

I have been bringing my cats and dogs to Kingsview Animal Hospital for over 15 years. They are the best greyhound friendly vet in the Kingstowne/Hayfield area. Denise, one of the many excellent vet techs, is particularly good with sight hound issues. We have had to say goodbye to two elderly kitties and one elderly hound over the years, and Dr. Hart and crew have been very comforting.

My mother recently moved to the area and we took our 14 year Cairn Terrier in for the first time to Kingsview to see Dr. Hart for an eye infection. Shortly thereafter we had to take her back in again because she was very sick to her stomach and nothing we did was helping. The second time she saw Dr. Blevins. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed to be in severe kidney failure and we had to put her to sleep. It was a very sad time for us, especially since we had just lost my father in March. Dr. Hart, Dr. Blevins and their staff all showed so much compassion towards my mother and our poor little Poca. They are extremely kind and professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We will be taking our Lab there from now on.

Dr. Hart and his staff are fantastic. I had a chihuahua that he took care of for many years. When she passed away, I received a letter of condolence from him and his staff. That's not something I am used to in a big metropolitan area such as ours, but it would be common in the small town where I grew up. He is very compassionate and caring with your pet and I would recommend Kingsview without hesitation.

I have been coming to Kingsview Animal Hospital since 2003. Dr. Hart, Dr. Blevins, and Dr. Grim have been wonderful. The staff is excellent and they go that extra mile with your pet. I would highly recommend them. They even have an onsite kennel. They are the only ones I trust with my dogs and cats.

Doctor Hart, and his staff have been treating my dog, Cinder, and my cat, HOPS, for more than ten years. His is attentive, a good listener, and a vet who does a thorough exam. Its obvious that he really cares. deeply for animals.The practice is in an older home, and lacks all the decor and trimmings of a resort look. But the gentle touch, and excellent care make up for the old facility.

The receptionist, Jessica, is very rude. Also, the office is not very good at working patients in-whereas other vets are more accommodating. The vets seem ok.

I have known Dr. Hart for years. He has taken care of many of my pets --- dogs, cats, and other as well as those I care for professionally. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and never ever rushes you in and out. He takes the time to treat the pet and put to rest serious concerns of the pet parents. I highly recommend Dr Hart and Kingsview Animal Hospital

I have had two pets. The first one I always went to Dr. Hart. Then I moved and got my second pet. The distance was greater so I thought I'd try another place closer. After trying three other places where I got charged an arm and a leg I went back to my roots. I will never change again! I love Kingsview. Great care, great price, great service!!!

This animal hospital is located in a very deserted spot but is wonderful! I just recently purchased a lab and chose this hospital because my boyfriend has dealt with this hospital with all his other pets. The place is kind of small but the personnel treats everyone great!

Dr. Hart was our dog's vet until he passed away. Dr. Hart was very sensitive to animal's feelings and really cared about each patient. His office made special arrangements for us when our dog was having terminal problems and we will never forget that kindness.
