This store is every embroiderer's dream. There are few specialty shops left for this sort of thing, sadly, but I'm very glad to see that Needlewoman East is still around. They have every kind of thread and pattern you could imagine, and the ladies there are SO sweet and helpful. I come here to have my needlework blocked and they do a very nice job.

I spent a weekend watching my mother doing some needlepoint and thought it looked like a relaxing way to spend some down time. After dropping in to Michael's, AC Moore and Joanne's with no luck finding a needlepoint kit, I was driving down Route 7 in Falls Church and my eyes fell upon the sign Needlewoman East. I decided to check it out and was greeted by a friendly group of women in the shop. I explained I was looking to try out a new hobby and the owner took me in hand and saying lets try to find you something easy, but interesting and not too childish. I'm happily working on a Martini glass and Olive that I'll have made into a pillow and already looking forward to getting some more advanced canvasses! Looks like a great shop for the novice and expert alike.
