My husband and I moved here about a year and a half ago. We thought it was a decent place until we moved in...we had cracks all in our bathroom tiles, no water in either bathroom. We called to get this fixed and then it was too much pressure that it almost knocked you over. We lived on the 2nd floor and our roof was leaking which they supposedly fixed, but never did because we still have a huge crack in the ceiling and everytime it rains, water still comes in. There is a lot more stuff that went wrong and nothing was ever done about it. We even sent a letter to their corporate office and the only response we got was from the office staff because they were pissed we sent a letter and never told them. If you would have been doing your job the entire time, we wouldn't have sent the letter. They tore up the parking lot and left big pot holes that destroyed the under carriage of my husbands brand new car. Supposedly, the office had no clue the people were coming until they showed up and started creating bigger pot holes.

My advice, find somewhere else to live that is nicer and not as expensive.

I lived at Forest Lake for a year before leaving on military deployment orders. The entire time I lived there, I hated it. Parking was non-existant. If you have more than 1 car, be prepared to walk 20 mins back to your apartment because that's where the nearest spot will be. The gate is ALWAYS broken. The longest I'd ever seen it fixed was for maybe a week. So much for that whole "gated community" experience. During the summer I had a bee hive outside (I was on the 2nd floor) and called the office 2 times to have someone from maintenence come out to take care of it. No one ever came to the rescue. I had to go out and buy cans of Raid to destroy it. The people that lived downstairs from me always complained that I made too much noise...and that's just walking up/down my stairs and around the apartment. So if you still decide to move here, I would suggest getting a 2nd floor apartment because it must be hell living under someone. There are no individual dumpsters. You have to drive your trash all the way to the end of the complex to the 1 trash compactor which doesn't get dumped as regularly as it should because there's always piles and piles of trash around it. The only person that knows ANYTHING in the office is the manager, Kim. The rest of the staff don't know or do anything and they'll just about admit that to you and don't even care. When I was preparing to move out, they scheduled my inspection for 10am. I showed up at 945am and waited for almost an hour before driving to the office to REMIND them that I had an appointment with them. They sent the maintenence guy to do the inspection who quoted me a price of cleaning, repair, etc. I wrote a check right then and there. A month later they send me a letter in the mail saying I owed money for the same stuff I already paid for. It was a nightmare. I can't tell you how glad I am not to be living there anymore. I would not recommend this complex if you paid me to.

PROS: It looks nice from the outside.
CONS: Terrible service and parking.

We rented here thinking that we were getting our moneys worth. But think again! The plumbing was always messing up and the front gate onto the premises was always broken. Which allowed anyone to come in and out of the apartments. The maintenance men were filthy and would walk into your apartment whenever they pleased. No privacy at all. The floors would leak every time it rained which messed up our daughters furniture. Bugs everywhere. Well lets just say we waited till our lease was up and then moved out and never looked back.
