This may be the place for college students but for the money we spent, the food was below par and the service was poor. We ordered and told to go pay. 30 minutes after paying I inquired about food order and learned that my ticket was lost.

When most people think of Paul's Deli they think pizza, beer and subs (try the hot Holly) but locals go there on the weekends for the dinner specials! People don't realize that the weekend specials are made from scratch, HUGE portions at VERY reasonable prices. Two people can share a meal without any problem. Always fresh seafood, fish, scallops, shrimp or beef, and lamb. Take it from a local and skip the chain's when coming to Williamsburg.

After 45 minutes of waiting for pizza it was shoved onto the counter "where you pick up and carry to table" pizza was placed on a blistering hot metal tray with noone or no means to carry. I requested help or something to carry tray with and the cook only nodded to some paper thin napkins to use. I burned my hand and notified the manager who was belligerent all the while the cashier is smirking and laughing at me. The owner was eventually contacted and he was very very sarcastic and only responded with " So whats your problem? "
Go there if you like rude service, hostile employees, and filthy eating.

This is a place the William & Mary students like to frequent (having been one many years ago, I know this!). On any given weekend night you even have to stand in line to get into Paul's. Of course this is not a gourmet food place but if you're looking for the college atmosphere, it's a great.

Orders are placed at the counter and then your name is called when your food is ready. The selection covers a variety of hot and cold subs, pizza, fries and similar items.

For a college hangout, it's very good.

This place has the casual atmosphere of a tavern. It looks like a popular spot for locals and college students. There is sports memorabilia all over the walls and the TVs were playing sports. It was very noisy. You can order by sitting down and placing an order with a sever or ordering from the deli menu where you place an order and sit down and wait for the order to be called. I had chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. The chicken was lightly breaded and fried over tender chicken breasts and the mozzarella sticks were hot and stringy. Both were appropriately greasy and delicious.

There really wasn't much to set this restaurant apart from other deli and and sub shops. When I'm looking to go outside of the chain places I would like to see something special, which I didn't find here.
