.

We were traveling on New Year??s Eve and experienced car trouble on I-81 on our way south to Abingdon, VA. A local auto parts store referred us to the Camp Comfort service station because they were the only place open on New Year??s Day.

Here are our complaints against the service:
- Refused to examine or drive car to diagnose our problem
- Put in the parts (bearings and axle joint) that an auto store sold us without knowing that it would fix the problem
- Refused to give us back our old parts (axle joint), despite numerous requests
- Overcharged us for labor (over $50 / hour) when the rate was clearly posted on the wall ($35 / hour)
- When done with service, the brakes made a squealing noise, which was not there when we brought the car in.
- Claimed that this brake noise was there and that we couldn??t hear it
- Told us that we could drive 650 miles back home, despite the fact that the brakes were ??paper-thin?

We ended up taking the car to another shop the next day, and they told us that it would have been very dangerous to drive on these brakes. Overall, I would not recommend this service station to you even if you are desperate for some service; you are simply wasting your money.
