I already was prepared for Ron Hess. A friend of mine tried to engage him a meaningful conversation about buying a handgun!
He told her to get the hell out!! He didn't care because as a he explained he had paid off his home and had no debt so why should
he sell her a gun. It is a shabby dirty shop with clutter and the pathway leads to counter where Ron Hess sits and quickly ridicules
and puts down victims(not customers). He is real jerk!!!

I went there to buy an 9MM handgun and the owner was rude and disrespectful. I dont understand how he is still in business or have some good reviews. The good reviews must be friends or peolpe he is paying to make them. Do yourself an favor, go somewhere else where they will treat you with respect and have guns are good prices.

We went into Ron Hess and it was the worst experience I have ever had in a gun shop. Upon walking in, I noticed it was very cluttered and disorganized. The gentleman (for lack of better term) behind the counter proceeded to ask us what we needed. We told him we were looking at buying a gun and have been looking around at differant places and guns shows to find the right one. I have never owned a gun and am not sure what I am looking for. He then started rambling on about the gun show and how it is a mistake to look there and then he wouldnt help us! When my husband asked a question, he said it would be $10 to answer it because that is the cost it would be to get into a gun show. More was said, bottom line, the guy was a total @$$! We never said we were not seriously looking at his guns to purchuse, so we should not have been treated like dirt. We have been there before to buy ammo and such but after our encounter we will be driving 30 minutes out of our way just so we dont have to give our money to them. I have never in my life been treated that way and for someone who works with people, he needs to learn a lot of respect. After doing research, I have found that numerous others have given him bad reviews. I am just astonished that they are still in buisness. Please dont waste your time or money at Ron Hess!

I have been using firearms profesionally and for recreation for over 25 yrs. I have been in some of the best gun shops in the country and now I have been in the worst. I walked into this shop and looked a round a little, not wanting to leave empty handed I asked for two boxes of .380 ACP FMJ. "What do you want that for?" the owner (I assume it was the onwer because no employee could be that rude and keep their job) I said "for my .380). Then this guy proceeds to lecture me on the ballistic inferiority of the .380 and how the gun is more dangerous to the user because the lack of stopping power etc. and why would I want that gun? I said believe shot placement was more important than the ballastics of the round (this is a debate as old as firearms themselves and not something to take personally) The guy then takes the ammo off the counter and restocks it. I was in disbelief. I had my hand extended with the cash in it. That is the way you treat a customer about to pay for something you are selling? I walked out. I still can't believe it. The only thing more unbelievable is that this guy is still in business. If you want to be lectured on some guy's opinions and then not served this place is for you. The shop was also poorly stocked and mostly filled with a bunch of used junk that you would expected at a flea market. Parking is easy because the guy has no customers.
