World Champion Jeff Smith Karate offers a little bit of everything for all ages. Their flexible schedule allows members to take advantage of multiple classes a week - they offer classes 6 days a week, and can fit into just about any schedule. The class structure allows members to work at their pace with their group level.
The instructors are excellent at teaching to the age level. There are child only classes which help the kids learn at their pace, while maintaining a sense of discipline and focus, and adult classes which are more vigorous.
I recommend Jeff Smith Karate for anyone who wants to learn martial arts.

World Champion Jeff Smith Karate is one of the better karate schools I have observed and attended. I was at another school before that was very traditional and detail oriented. After moving from that area to the Sterling area I took about a year to check out different schools before I decided to get started at one. Jeff Smiths definitely made the cut. The instructors there are able to run different types of classes such as childrens classes that require a little bit of a different approach than the adult classes. The adult classes are a great workout as well as a good way to learn to punch, kick and many other things. I look forward to obtaining my black belt and beyond at World Champion Jeff Smith Karate.

I started taking karate lessons here about a year ago. A couple of really neat things about Jeff Smith's is that 1) they offer classes 6 days/week 2) you can take as many classes as you want to each week 3)they offer weapons instruction 4) a fight night 5) adult only classes and much more. Some of the really toughest workouts are the adult only classes on weekdays at noon. The class at that time is structured almost like an athlete's conditioning would be. You will feel the burn!I highly recommend these classes.

I admittedly have never taken a karate class before, so I have nothing to compare it to, but the fact that I was a novice seemed just fine with the instructors, who have a lot of patience. I can only guess because of their credentials that they know what they are doing, but they have effective and fun teaching methods and it seems like a great place for kids or adults to take classes and get the exercise and education they need.
