While traveling from Maine to Virginia Beach, my husband and I stayed at several of the KOA campgrounds. Virginia Beach KOA was by far the worst. The site were extremely close, rough and unkept. On our arrival I wanted to choose a site somewhat away from the crowds and was told those site were no good if it rained. There was no rain in the forecast. We were placed next to a campers that appeared to be permanent on both sides of us. The store closed at 5:00 p.m., somewhat inconvenient. The pools were filthy and in bad need of paint. The grounds in general were not of the quality most other KOA campgounds. I was truly disappointed.

It started with tent camping in the beginning of the week but the RV next to me was leaking really bad smelling leakage so my family and I decided to get a cabin for the rest of the week. Little did we know the cabin was infested. They told us in the morning that it was fire aunt's. The sheet's were covered with little tiny blood spot's but we never felt a bite. We are lite sleepers so that really surprised me. I don't think we will ever return to KOA Virginia Beach.

A lot cheaper then many hotel rooms in Virginia Beach. It also is an experience. They have Miniature Golf, a couple of pools, showers, bathrooms, and bicycle rental. It is a little far from the beach. It is a bit commercial and you arent really experiencing nature, when there is electricity available, along with showers. Its like an entry-level camping experience.

      PROS: swimming pools, electricity, shower
CONS: pay for a lot of there ammenities, its far from the beach

This is a great and very clean campground. It is also not too far from the beach. They have a pool and camp store. You can get almost anything to complete your stay. You can also take a free shuttle to the beach many times a day. Great way to save on a vacation.
