My boyfriend and I went there for dinner thinking we were going to get a great deal by using a gift certificate I bought from Restaurants.com for $10.00 that would take $25.00 off a purchase of $50.00 or more. We thought this would be great because we could each have a nice dinner and a beer for $25.00 plus tip. The food and server were great, however, we were shocked to realize that alcohol would not be counted towards the $50.00 purchase despite not having been said on restaurants.com like every other restaurant who does not count alcohol. This meant that we ended up having to buy A LOT of food! Additionally, when we got the bill we learned that the one glass of beer and the two that my boyfriend had added over $16.00 to our tab. This was for Yuengling in a glass, not even a bottle.

All this and the building is NOT that great. It is old and outdated and for the market they are trying to reach it's just sad. If you want to go to a nice bar, go another 1/4 of a mile and get a Yuengling or better for $3.50 from Capital Ale House on Caroline Street! The ambiance is MUCH BETTER at Capital. They even offer pretty decent burgers for $1.00 with the purchase of a drink (alcohol or not) on Mondays.

The only time I will go is if someone in a good music group is playing there and I will only go for the music...I will go to Capital first for a better, less expensive beer!

The food here is good, however the prices are much to high. Recently a friend and I went there for wings after work, I had 15 wings and a bottle of beer, cost: $16 before tip. That is just to much. The Sheperd's Pie is wonderful, but not worth the $10 price tag. The music is often so loud (cd's being played over speakers) that it is difficult to talk with friends. While the food is good this is a rare treat for me because of the heafty price tag.

PROS: good food
CONS: very high prices
