My brother and I ate at this restaurant tonight and I haven't had such a wonderful meal in a long time. Our server was very professional, polite and attentive. As a fellow server in a casual dining restaurant I have very high standards for restaurant service which our server met and exceeded. The prices are very good considering the food quality and portions given. Our meal was perfection, and the bread was delicious, not "greasy" as a previous reviewer stated. The salad dressings are all made fresh in house and are lovely. I ordered the prime rib, medium-rare, and it was superb, as were the red-skinned mashed potatoes that accompanied it. My brother had the crab-cakes which also were fantastic. I also had a glass of the house shiraz which complemented my meal wonderfully. For dessert we had the baclava, a nice ending to our wonderful meal. Thanks so much Fireside!!! We'll definitely be back!!!
We had no chance to order from this restaurant because the host was snooty and had an attitude along with a wait staff that never came to acknowledge our presence. Although the place wasn't crowded the host seemed to not like being there and was really a turn off. We finally had to leave with the host telling us "oh well..." We are locals here going on a month and are looking for good places....if i was visiting...i wouldn't take the chance with this place.....the menu is not healthy with only starches for sides except a small salad....i got to read the menu for a LONG time! Please don't waste your time...
A friend and I had dinner there the other night. I ordered the large NY strip. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tender. I only wish it would have been seasoned a little more. Very attentive servers - waiters were even keeping an eye on their colleagues tables. My friend had the prime rib and was also pleased with her meal.
Pros: Great service
Cons: a little more seasoning
