My wife and I were very pleased with our experience at Trinity School of Early Learning. Two things stand out: the dedication of the staff, and the feeling of community at the school. When we moved from Texas to Virginia, my four-year old son was anxious about his new preschool. We had a lot of tearful mornings while he adjusted. Happily, he bonded quickly with Ms. Ellis, the TSEL director, and I was impressed at how she took time personally each morning to spend with my son until he got comfortable with his new school. The four- and five-year old's teacher is really good. It was clear that she concentrated on things (writing, behavior) that would help ease the transition to kindergarten, and it worked. They had regular, visiting enrichment programs like weekly "Music and Movement" and the Tumbling Bus. In our eighteen months at TSEL, we didn't see any turnover of the primary teachers for each class. I thought that was impressive and speaks to the sense of community at the school. The school is associated with the Trinity Episcopal Church, and there are nice joint events such as picnics and holiday events which we attended even though we are not church members. Overall we were really happy with TSEL and have recommended it to friends and co-workers.

My daughter attends Trinity School of Early Learning in Arlington, VA for the past two months in the 2 year old class and loves coming to school. She had a difficult time beginning school, and her teachers responded empathetically and met her where she was. They didn't make her give up her "lovey" and allowed her to adjust to life at school in a loving and compassionate manner. She is learning so much and has become so independent since beginning school. The directors are fantastic and have a real passion for early childhood education and more importantly each child and family. The facilities are in the basement of an old Episcopal church, and could use some updating, but the administration and staff do a fantastic job with the resources they have. The student body is diverse as is the staff. They are friendly and treat each family like they are an important part of the community. It is a wonderful first school experience for my daughter and I highly recommend it. The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is because of the facilities, but I'm certain that over time, that will change.
