Dolce Vita Salon & Spa

I love this salon. Maritza does an amazing job with color and style. I was not happy with my color or cut. Now, every time I'm out, people ask me where I get my hair done. You definitely get what you pay for.

I have been going to Dolce Vita Salon & Spa for almost a year now. I cannot think of a single negative comment! The entire staff is super friendly. I have never felt uncomfortable there. They are extremely professional and want to make sure that the customer is truly satisfied with their results. I have also noticed that Dolce Vita does not hire just anyone...I have had just about everything done there but a massage! And I have on no account been disappointed with the staff. From my hair, to my nails, to my facials, to my chemical peels; everything has been top notch. Sometimes I want to dye my hair a certain color and Jeanpaul will tell me the honest truth about whether I should or whether what I want is going to damage my hair; sometimes I want the esthetician to do certain things but she's honest and explains to me what I should do prior to a chemical peel and such. I TRULY appreciate this! It's obvious that the staff here cares about the customer and not just making a quick buck. This in my opinion is a great way to keep a client. I have also noticed that Dolce Vita has great clientele. Some new but the majority are regulars. Not many salons can keep clients coming for long periods of time; so I think the team at Dolce Vita has mastered that!I have long, dark, thick hair. Jeanpaul has been doing my hair and I am super happy. He gives me exactly what I want and he's super sweet to top it off! My haircut is always perfect to the T. My layers are never choppy or uneven. Also, they truly know how to blow dry hair! It's very hard to find someone who knows how to "preserve the integrity of the hair" (as Jeanpaul said himself) and I think he does it best!One of my absolute favorite things about Dolce Vita (aside from the adorable girls that work there and the undivided attention I receive when being serviced) is the weekly promotions!!! They keep me coming! So be sure to ask for the new customer booklet and always check their website (or your e-mail) for their special promotions. The discounts can really add up!Sadly, I am moving to Texas...but I hope to return at least twice a year!!! I have seen men and women of all races and age at this salon. People with long and short hair, blondes and brunettes; therefore, I recommend it to anyone in search of a high class salon with that "you're a part of the family" feeling. Oh, and of course, you will be thrilled with your results!!!

Dolce Vita salon is top notch! First off - Jeanpaul and his staff know their craft. Life can get hectic - and it is such a comfort to know that when I walk into Dolce Vita, I will be taken care of! And to top it off - the people at Dolce Vita are warm and inviting. There's no pretense - just good people to have a good conversation with and a good laugh!

I have been going to Jeanpaul for 11 years. Jeanpaul has a deep knowledge of all the elements that make a great hair cut. He knows how different hair textures respond to different haircuts - he never over cuts buts knows the right amount of angles and layers to suit your face and the style you want. He has always been open to creating a new look - all I need to do is show him a picture, and the rest is done. And when it comes to color - he is out of this world! Finding the right color can be so tricky - but Jeanpaul knows exactly how to create a natural look that compliments your skin tone and features.

Beyond the actual hair cut/color itself - the whole staff provides top-notch service from the beginning hair wash to the final blow-dry/styling. They are highly trained and take the time to listen and accommodate your needs.

And if you are looking for a pedicure - Pari at Dolce Vita is the woman to see! Pari does impeccable work - she is very thorough - and provides the best foot and leg messages. When you go to Pari - beyond an excellent pedicure, it is a time to relax and de-stress. In equal standing to her work - she is an exceptional person - she radiates warmth and is very kind and sincere.

Fabulous place!! The salon is laid out very nicely- rather than being one big room there are several different areas which, along with the large amount of natural light, contributes to the overall pleasant and calm atmosphere. I am always greeted with a smile and a vast array of magazine's to peruse while I get my hair colored at the color table. (Unlike most places, they have a seperate area where the color is applied rather than doing it at the stations) As great as the salon is, what keeps me coming back is my stylist Ashley Von Mettenheim. She is a genius with color- she seems to know a million different techniques that all produce really natural looking results. Her cuts are also amazing- After a terrible hair cut when I was younger, I had sworn off short styles and had been sporting hair down to my elbows ever since. After a few visits with Ashley it was very clear that my hair couldn't be in better hands and I can't tell you how amazing my shoulder length cut turned out. Not only did it look great when I left the salon, but the way she cut it made my normally unruly hair easy for me to style on my own. Ashley is extremely knowledgeable, talented and attentive and I STRONGLY recommend her services as well as Dolce Vita itself.

I require my hair to look fabulous and be easy to maintain. The stylists at Dolce Vita provides both. My stylist, Ashley von Mettenheim, is expert at her craft. She is charming, as are all of the stylists. They all welcome me and make me feel at home. My color always looks great and Ashley's cutting skills are superb. I'm never bored waiting for my color to be ready. It always feels like a party when I am at Dolce Vita. The color table provides a cozy venue for meeting new women and chatting about a wide variety of topics. I love going there. And my hair always looks great.

My experiences at Dolce Vita have been unlike any other salon experiences Ive had. Ive loved long, dark hair for as long as I remember, but my own grows just passed my shoulders, then stops. I contacted Jeanpaul at Dolce Vita, he scheduled an initial appointment within three days and I had beautiful, long hair by the end of the week. Noha and Jeanpaul worked on my extensions together while treating me like a queen. After just 6 months of being Jeanpauls client, I sincerely feel like a part of the Dolce Vita family, and look forward to seeing my friends at every appointment.

P.S. My hair is healthier than its ever been.

You can recognize the difference as soon as you enter Dolce Vita. It is a beautiful salon, contemporary with lots of light from the many floor to ceiling windows. You are greeted with a wide smile and genuinely friendly welcome, and it only gets better from there. I have been impressed with the high standard of service and careful attention to detail. As an example, appointments are always on time, which I find very considerate given my hectic schedule. The expert shampoo ladies take time to do a careful scrub followed by a scalp massage on each of my visits. Jeanpaul has a gift for color and haircuts. Verification of his skill is the number of times I have been stopped by strangers and asked who does my hair. Can't get better than that!

I have been a loyal customer of Jean Paul's for almost 15 years. I now see his brother Sam, who he has trained, and am very happy. He does my color, cuts and blow-drys. I have thick, wavy hair and he makes it so beautiful and manageable. I feel like a million dollars every time I leave. The whole experience lifts your mood and I always leave smiling. The Dolce Vita experience is very relaxing and flattering. The boys really know how to take care of a woman!

I look forward to my regular visits to Jean-Paul at Dolce Vita Salon. I am pampered beyond belief, and I feel like part of the Dolce Vita family. My cut is always perfect, and the color is gorgeous. I continue to receive compliments on my hair, and have referred multiple friends/coworkers to Dolce Vita (and they are now loyal clients!). I have dark hair, and my caramel highlights always look naturally beautiful. I have referred blonds and brunettes, and all have been so happy with their color.

The experience that you have at Dolce Vita Salon & Spa is like not other. I have been a loyal customer of Jean Paul and Sam for many years. I will always follow them. The warmth, care, and amazing customer service is the reason I will always be with them. The expertise in hair cutting and coloring is second to none!! They are very careful to listen to the customer needs. The prices are so reasonable specially for the Washington, D.C. area. I would recommend the salon to anyone.

I have curly thick hair and it is not easy to style but Sami at Dolce Vita has mastered my blowdrys that I have been going twice a week for the past 5 years. Dolce Vita is the most friendly, organized, and convenient salon. The hours are late so you can go after work and the prices are very reasonable. All my friends said they cant wait to see what I will do about my hair once I have my baby, but now I go even more bc the staff is so friendly and inviting to my son that I actually feel like that is my time away without having to leave him at home. My son even lights up once we enter Dolce Vita since this our home away from home. I feel that the staff truly cares about me which keeps me coming for more. Everyone I have referred is now a regular.

I have been a client of Jeanpaul, the owner for a long time. I have followed him everywhere. I was not surprised when he opened his own salon and found it to be top notch. Everytime I walk out of there I feel transformed. I would hightly recommend Jeanpaul and his wonderful staff.

I highly recommend Dolce Vita Salon and Spa. I have been having Michel style and color my hair for several now and now sadly Michel is leaving. I will miss Michel as not only was he a terrific stylist he was like a therapist! My sister has traveled down from Boston several times now to have Michel color her hair. She came twice to have him 'fix' what other stylists had done and also to have him highlight her hair for her wedding.The staff are professional and very friendly. I always enjoy my time spent there.
The good news is I have now found another stylist named Shahnaz at Dolce Vita who I trusted enough to cut my hair. Wow. That was big. The color is Perfect and the cut is fun and really just right for me and I let her just 'do it" I have been a brunette, blond, all shades, even Raven, and back to blond all at Dolce Vita and never had a problem.
Trust is a good thing.
Great place.

I had never been here before my recieved a gift card. I had one of the best manicure/pedicures ever-even at spas that were much more expensive. No one could believe that my pedicure lasted over 3 weeks!!! The staff there were nice, I'm going to be a regular now
