Ziebart is also providing this level of "service" here in Michigan. I just had an experience much like yours here at Ziebart in Monroe Michigan. I took a brand new 2013 Edge to the facility for rustproofing. It was less than one week old and had around 200 miles. It is silver.
It was returned to me the following day with thousands (no exageration) of black tarry speckles on the paint. Mostly on the roof, some areas so thick that you could not see the paint underneath. The windshield had a brown sticky substance on it also. My wife (who is going through chemotherapy treatment) dropped me off and waited for me to pick up the vehicle. Since she was not feeling well I did a quick walk around to make sure the body wasn't damaged. I noticed the junk on the windshield but since we were in a hurry decided I could just wipe it of when I got home. The guy at the desk said I could drive it through the car wash as long as I didn't do an undercarriage wash. No, didn't even offer to do it there!
When I got out of the car wash on the way home the junk was still on my windshield and upon closer inspection I saw the mess on the roof and sides. Amazing and unprofessional that they returned it to me that way.
I returned the next day and they did not have much to say. I watched them wipping the side door areas with mineral spirits and then went back to point out the real mess on the roof. They were like deer in the headlights! Now they got a third guy to start working on it too. It took over an hour and I have photos and video of the damge both at home and the circus show at Ziebart. The whole time the manager did niot have the nads to come out of his office to face me. I contacted corporate and they told me I have to deal with the store manager because each location is privately owned. I recently got a detailing coupon that I will never use. Like I trust them to do more work on my vehicle!
I am prepared to start sharing my photo and video experience with the world!
I have a rust protection warranty from Ziebart that Ford recommended for my 2010 Mustang GT. The first couple years went fine but NOV 2011 they decided to allow ghetto, poorly trained "technicians" to do the job. I am not sure if any of you are aware of the detail that some mustang owners go into to keep it looking clean and new but Ziebart in Fairfax has no respect for that unless you paid them to do it directly.
When I was given my vehicle the front desk person Patrick Jackson could clearly see that there was rust proofing leaking from my doors. He immediately tried to explain to me that it was normal when I was questioning him about it. He shifted gears and sent out a "technician" to clean up the mess with some filthy rag to smear more of it around my vehicles exterior. Sure enough when I got home it had still leaked out of my doors and onto the driveway over night. About 12 ounces of excess, impossible to remove without some other products, grease came from both doors. The next day I figured I would do the normal thing and just powerwash it off the car at the self-serve car wash. Well, the greasy tar-like compound that was squirted inside the doors has clogged the door's water vents. After I attempted to spray the kick panel clean at the car wash, which was a failure, I drove away realizing that there was a strange swishing and swashing coming from inside my doors. The doors are holding water now.
I contacted Ziebart and explained to them I did not have time in my schedule to travel 30 miles to their establishment to get further work done to my vehicle. They were not motivated in any way to resolve the issue other than by saying to take time from my schedule and return the vehicle to them for resolution.
If anyone wants to see the pictures of what I'm referring to you can email me at YASASHIIHITO at hot mail dot com and I will furnish the evidence of the horrible workmanship.

Two passenger side (both front and back) and two rear quarter panel windows have been redone and it looks absolutely perfect. Once again, Patrick, the manager, was really friendly and apologized numerous times for . I will wait about two weeks and finalize my review since it will take about the same amount of time for the tint to completely dry. One thing to note: the tint guy mentioned to bring the car in during the weekdays because he can spend more time on it (3 to 4 hours). During the weekends (I think because of the amount of cars that come in) he said he can only spend about an hour on each car.

I would look for another company if you want your car tinted especially if you drive a car that is not considered somewhat luxurious. I drove 4 hours from VT to get my 2009 Hyundai Elantra 4dr tinted last weekend. I was initially told to wait 3 hours but able to get my car back after about 2. It looked pretty good from the outside but when I got in my car, I have noticed that all 4 door panels put in crooked and had glue all over the door panels & window switches. I went back and the guy tried to fix them but still look crooked. Maybe I will have to take it to a Hyundai dealer and have one of their technicians to fix them. Today I noticed that the tint film only covers 90% of the real panel window and found couple quarter-sized bubbles on other windows (hopefully they will disappear). There were few Mercedez and Lexus on that day and I'm pretty sure they got a decent job but not mine. For $200+tax I would have expected something better than this. However, Patrick, the manager, was really friendly and nice. I will be taking my car back in two weeks and see what happens.
I wouldn't rate this business at all, I think they are a rip off! I called to have my car detailed and was given a quote for it. After I got there they wanted another price to detail the car and that wasn't even washing the car. Than I agreed to the 2nd quote than the owner of the store came out Mike and stated that they wouldn't clean the car unless I paid 250.00 which was a 3rd quote now by this time I have signed the paper work and they are getting ready to clean the car. This guy was very rude and arrogant...I asked him who his boss was and he stated his boss was GOD, Wow! LOL! My thoughts were that you know GOD...because he sure didn't act as though he knew him! maybe he did but what God is he talking about! Now I understand that my car was in need of a good cleaning that is why I wanted it detailed and didn't mine paying the 175.00 but the price kept going up and up! In my opinion intergrity is everything, but this guy didn't show that he had any at all. I wouldn't give them any business nor would I refer anybody to Ziebart! If you can't stand by your word than you have no good character....that's my opinion! By the way If I were Patrick who definitely has good customer service behavior I would get out of that store because Mike the owner makes him look bad too!

Ziebart installed a remote start on a truck that I purchased prior to me buying it. The remote start works great, but when the battery for the transmitter died, they wanted $25 to reprogram it. I have other remote starts from this same brand and model number. They have a program button on the dash and a small instruction book to keep in the glove box and that make reprogramming the transponder very simple, not costing $25 and only taking about 2 min. When questioned about the reprograming, I was told that I had to make a lead and have the book in order to reprgraming the tranmitter. In the end, I plugged the led button from my other car into the truck and reprogrmed the transmitter and saved $25 and it only took 10 min for the entire process

exceeded my expectations. I asked around before choosing Ziebart for undercoating my F150. Then they showed me some cars that had their Diamond Gloss Paint Protection. Now my truck looks better than it ever did. (I bought it used). A nice job on the undercoating too, very thorough. Nice guys, gave me a rental for the day, beats hanging around all day, at least I got some stuff done. Thanks to Mike & the crew.
My seven year old threw up in the back seat, what a mess, the car stunk so bad I could hardly drive it. I called several places but the man on the phone at ziebart at least sounded interested and explained what they would do. They cleaned everything very nice, no more smell. I really like the fact that they didn't put any kind of fragrance in the car like pina colada or something like that, I hate that stuff. I'll keep these guys in my speed dial.

I"ve had several experiences with these folks, each one more remarkable than the last. First they detailed my car, did a great job, and they took me in without an appointment. But then a few years later my sunroof broke so that I couldn't even close it and the dealer told me I needed a whole new unit for over $2500 !!!!. The guys at Ziebart were able to fix it for me for about $500, still not cheap, but they didn't try to take me to the cleaners like the toyota dealer tried. I"m hooked
I have had my 97 Toyota 4runner "rust proof" undercoated since I purchased the vehicle new. I also pruchased the "rust though warranty" with the initial application of undercoating. Ziebart has appplied reapplication of the undercoating each year. Now there are areas of rust through on the vehicle and am getting the run around for repairs and honoring the warranty.Unfortunately my receipt records are incomplete after several moves and the Middleburg Hts Ohio location at which I had all but two of the applications of undercoating area also "incomplete". Several years ago I had started scrapping the rust from the underside of the SUV before the appointment for undercoating because one year I noticed they were just spraying over the loose and rusted undercoating to make it look as if they really were doing a go job! I would never pay to have this done on another vehicle and would adivise other to avoid this company for undercoating.

Basically I wanted the whole car tinted and I received a coupon from Ziebart for $50 off. I passed by on a Saturday to inquire about the price. I was told by Alan that it will cost me $199 for the whole car. I did not make an appointment at that time since I wasn't sure when I can take off from work. I finally called them Teusday to make an appointment and I was booked for Thursday. When I walked in on Thursday, he was going to charge me $189 and Alan said he already gave me a discount. The original price should have been $229! When I showed him the coupon that says $50 off, he said he can only give me additional $10 off. When he asked me where I got the original price of $199, I told him that that's the quote that he originally gave me 5 days ago. In any event, I still had it done because I already took a day off from work. I posting this message so hopefully no one else will be trapped by their scrupulous pricing together with a coupon program that they do not honor.

Mike should have left out the second part of his statement about the customer. Now he does look like a rude Manager. I guess I will not go to that store when I am in town. I am sure there are other detailers in the area.

Spoke with Mike, manager, on the phone concerning Ziebarting (undercoating) my new truck. Apparently, he thought I was being rather vague and launched into an explanation of how Ziebart refers to so many things other than undercoating that it was impossible to determine what I was referring to. Since I was properly chastised, I explained that I have only been using Ziebart as a rustproofing since 1976, and at that time that was how one referred to the process. Many changes since then apparently. Despite a bad gut feeling, I made the appointment and drove on out there early. When Mike arrived about 5 minutes later and found me waiting between service bays he did not so much as acknowledge my presence until I coaxed some sort of grunt out of him by saying hi. He went in a closed the door. Soon after that a small crew of sullen employees drifted in. The door stayed closed. I finished my coffee and left without any further contact with any of them. Sometimes you just get that funny feeling that your business, ($399.00 for ziebart rustproofing, on sale from $499.00) just is not important and you are better off somewhere else. Anywhere else.

I"ve brought several vehicles to Ziebart in Fairfax and other locations. They've done a great job every time. We even got a loaner car when the job ( a big 15 pass van) took until the next day.
It's the only place we go.

I had a very bad experience with the "manager" (Mike) of this franchise where I went for my second warranty service including diamond gloss and interior guard reapplications. In addition to these expected charges, I was charged $50 for "rust inspection" (I also pointed out to the manager that he had forgotten to charge me for the $120 for inner guard application which he then added to the invoice). I mentioned to the manager (Mike) that I didn't recall paying the $50 last year when I had my first warranty service done. He looked it up in his data base and said I had. He then accused me of trying to scam him and lying - he was as blunt as that. I was livid. Mike's told me he did not like to deal with customers, said "old man, things were going to get worse" for me, continued to call me a liar and cheater and other words to that effect. I couldn't believe Mike's attitude. Since there is only one Ziebart dealer in this area of Virginia, I can only assume Mike and this franchise don't care about their attitude and what customers think. Mike definitely does not and should not be in a position requiring his direct interaction with customers. He caused his company to lose future business. He didn't seem to care. Mike did eventually refund the questioned $50 after I called him later. However, he is a very poor manager and a poor representative for Ziebart. No customer should be treated this way, ever. He was just nasty, unprofessional, disrespectful, threatening, and arrogant. This will be my last dealing with Ziebart. Beware if you use this franchise in Fairfax. Make sure you get an adequate explanation of expected charges and that your invoice is accurate.

Service was not professional or reliable, and there was no offer for loaner cars despite my difficulties expressed in getting rides to drop it off and pick it up. The only efforts were to sell additional products and services at or above retail prices, on top of the already $567 or so on a detail and undercoating, which when they quoted the cost in writing, was on sheets detailing what that entails, which they did not follow through on at all.
I was never offered a loaner car, even after reporting serious problems and the need for my entire detail to be re-done, and the undercoating needing to be stripped to frame, cleaned, and re-done. All I got was a "stop by and wait 5-10 minutes we can touch up whatever spots we missed." That was after explaining the following:
Pick Up, seats soaked, still dirt all over interior, quick look underneath still mud on the undercarriage, runs of armor all inside/blotches, still garbage under seats from back when carpenter owned truck
-Pictures of numerous areas of dirt in the interior not even touched, still old dirt and dust (behind cup holders, between seats and on seatbelt holders and center console), multiple areas on floor still have dirt, multiple plastic areas have big blotches/smeared/overspray or runs of Armor All type product, still candy wrappers and old ear plugs under drivers seat, still some sort of papers under passenger seat and lots of dirt, big dirt spot on floor behind seat even in the easy to reach area, stains in seat not even worked on which the advertisement states they will, total nightmare. Took to other car detailer and they couldn??t believe it was detailed and shampooed, thought it was hideous job.
-Exterior, overspray of undercoating on cab, on all four rims, on tires, on muffler, on rear bumper, many scratches that look like they still could be buffed out, and paid $95 extra saying they suggest I do it right and they will get them out
-Undercarriage, painted mud all over undercarriage, handfuls of mud with black painted over taken from both rear wheelwells, rear bumper, other parts of frame, on leaf spring mounts, etc. The undercarriage did not look like it was cleaned or powerwashed at all, which I paid double for, the papers listing undercoating as well as exterior detail both have listed powerwashing and cleaning of dirt, salt, etc on undercarriage.
-Undercoating sprayed directly over all the front suspension moving parts, shocks, bushings, brake lines, and numerous other parts including fluid lines that could hold heat (which is something the owner told me about when I went to ask!), so the whole advertisement sheet which says they coat frame and backside of metal, as well in person even with me questioning what they paint, and clarifying that they were not going to spray on moving parts or parts that hold fluids which could retain heat in person the day I dropped it off, yet still, it appears as if the underside was not cleaned and just sprayed haphazardly underneath
-Interior still needs detailed, still needs disinfected and shampooed, dirty, smells like dirty water
-Exterior needs buffed, overspray issues and scratches still could be buffed out
-Undercarriage needs cleaned (Ive taken it through multiple car washes and also used pressure hose and my hands to physically remove lots of the areas where the undercoating was painted over the mud trapping it against the frame, sheetmetal, and rear bumper. Need to make sure there is no other dirt trapped under the undercoating, may need to remove all the undercoating in major areas to make sure its cleaned first, then re-painted or sprayed with undercoating

This customer received his $30 refund shortly thereafter. We always stand behind our work, we're not certain we broke it, but we made it right. One would think he'd have the courtesy of retracting his review, or at least acknowledge the refund or that his tint job was top notch.

Their company removed a rear window brake light cover in order to apply
the window tint. The cover has two prongs on each side that were broken
off by them. The cover was placed back on without being able to be
resecured. I noticed the cover hanging off the next day with the broken
prongs detached sitting on the back window sill.
I drove my car back for them to inspect the damage and they claim that
it is not their fault that it happened and that these kinds of things
just happen.
My proposed solution was to refund me $30 for the cost of a used brake
light cover.
Mike, the manager on duty, told me that he would not do this and that
his only solution is to super glue the plastic prongs back on.
I then spoke to a Mercedes Repair shop and asked if there is any way
this solution would work and he said that the first time that the cover
is taken off in order to replace a burned out bulb the flaps would again
break off, if they even last that long.

I had my maxima tinted there, tint looks great, and the price was just as they quoted on the phone. Then I had my car detailed there because I was going to a wedding. That's when they amazed me. My car hadn't looked that good in a long time. It's cool when you can find a car shop that you can trust.
Purchased a new Ford F-150. Set an appointment and there was no delay. Price as quoted. Work was carefully accomplished and I am satisfied with the result.

I called to set up an appointment to have an automatic starter put in my new car. They were very helpful & friendly and also told me where I could find a coupon for 10% off. I was able to get my car in the next day & it was done by noon. They did a great job. I plan on using them again & would recommend everyone to try them!
I had 5 different cars done in the last 2 years and they all came out good.
I had my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon done by you guys on Saturday. I am so pleased. It did not look this good new. It was worth the drive from Richmond to have this done. Again, many thanks!
I was very happy with my window tinting done in Fairfax. I felt the manager, Jonathan, was very helpful and honest with my service. I will definitely come back to your place of business. I plan on coming back for your detailing service.
You have a business to be proud about. I'll certainly be recommending my friends become customers.
Outstanding , friendly service at an outstanding price. Our trucks were always ready to pick up when promised.
Thanks to you and your staff for an outstanding job. We first experienced your excellent work a year ago, when you treated my daughters Envoy to a Ziebart Diamond Gloss treatment. A year later it still looks wonderful. Dirt will rinse off without a problem. So naturally when my son bought a new truck, we brought it right in for a Diamond Gloss treatment. Finally on whim, we left my wife's 1997 Olds for treatment. Imagine our surprise when this 13+ year old car came back looking brand new. Your team even removed the road tar i'd been unable to clean myself.
I""ve brought several vehicles to Ziebart in Fairfax and other locations. We even got a loaner car when the job ( a big 15 pass van) took until the next day.
It's the only place we go.
They've done a great job every time.
Took my truck in for window tint. Salesman was very helpful. He described everything up front. Nothing to complain about here! I have had the film on for three months now. Holding up great!
Technician was very courteous.
They did an awesome job on my BMW 330 xi. Then I found out they do paint repair also. They fixed a good sized scrape on my bumper, a body shop wanted three times that much, and the repair is perfect! I can't even tell where it was anymore. They finished it off with a detail wax job, nice, nice, nice.
I have an older car (15 yrs old)and Ziebart has treated the outside of the car for many years, and no one thinks the automobile is as old as it is.. The finished product is worth doing it on a regular basis.
Outstanding work by the Fairfax Ziebart. Both cars look brand new. I've been using Ziebart for 20 Years and the Fairfax store for over 3 years and they have always done excellent work. I highly recommend them.
Great tint work! They went over every detail with me, what to expect, local tint laws, offered suggestions, then they asked me to sign a waiver, well okay, I guess they have to protect themselves, I did after all go a little darker than legal. Then I sucked down like 4 cups of their 'joe'... Not bad for a machine, then surfed on their free WIFI for like an hour ""bravo!"" THey were done sooner than expected so I had them do a hand car wash. It cost more than going to a reg car wash place, but I go a better job, at least they bent over to clean the rocker panels. I have an 09 Jetta, not an easy car to tint, but it looks good. I heard about this Diamond Gloss they have on a Jetta blog site, sounds good, think I'll try it out. Check these dudes out. They do a lot of other stuff too.
Great place for window tinting!
satisfied and grateful
I'll be back. Ive had several experiences with these folks, each one more remarkable than the last.
Notably good service experience free loaner car, free WIFI internet access, Gourmet coffee.
ziebart in Fairfax: Professional , Reliable, and convenient with free loaner cars & gourmet coffee.
A great place for detailing your ride. They buffed my dull red paint until it alomst looked like new. I coundn't belive it. The rear spoiler was too far gone so they painted it, put in a sunroof, keyless entry, and tint. I'm saving up for a body kit, I'll definately have them paint it and install it. Thanks to Mike and the crew !
I was impressed. They cleaned my car better than I ever could have done. The got the stains out of the seats and some scratches out of the paint (amazing). They're a little hard to find being way in the back of the building and all but once you know where, it's a good place to go, especially busy moms like me. The best coffee out of a machine I've ever had. I recommend them. now, maybe a remote starter might be nice....

Few years ago had my car detailed here. I brought in a 10 year old car, which looked every bit the 3650 days I rode her. Roof succumbed to oxidation, loosing its luster - no shine. Inside had beautiful golden dog hair, everywhere, on a black interior. yes looked like shaggy carpet. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE, car looked brand spanking new. Would highly recommend.
