Just want to add to the accolades - We are so lucky to have found G&C - every positive thing that the other reviews wrote has also been our experience with our personal cars. We bought the coupon book (twice!!) and save a lot on oil changes, repairs and other goodies. We have an all-wheel drive car, a hybrid and two 4-wheel drive trucks and they've worked on all of them with outstanding results.

I get excellent results every time these guys work on my cars. They recently found and fixed two nagging problems with my 95 Taurus that HAD to be fixed before a vacation. Wonderful people. I've used them for engine repair, electrical, brakes, A/C, and more. It's been excellent, it's been timely, and reasonable in price. Gregg (and his GM, Scott) care about details and doing things right. I totally recommend them. I'm in Fairfax, and it's worth the extra miles.

We have been using this shop since they opened 9 years ago. They have great customer service and have never let us down. I would recomend them to anyone in the neighbor hood. The only shop & I have used a few - that has the owners home phone number on every invoice. They even say call him if you have any concerns.

PROS: Long warranty 18 months - 18,000 miles, free loaner cars, internet
CONS: Not the cheapest shop - but hey, you get what you pay for

Went in for a specifici maintenance service (car ran perfectly). Car was returned in such bad running condition it was barely driveable. They were reluctant to take responsibility for the poor running condition. They told me things were part of the service that were not. I thought I would save money by not going to the dealer. What a joke. My conclusion they do poor work, do not care enough to test drive the car, sell you things you don't need and extremely poor customer service. They just don't care.

There are many mispellings: environment, usually, and fix the zipcode. There could be more, I quit watching after I saw about half the video.

I would suggest correcting this video or take it down entirely. I am hoping that more attention to detail will be given to my car than was given to this video.

I just have never seen anything like G & C Express Auto Svc. They are revolutionizing the industry, setting the model of what Auto repair should be like. This is what I mean by that:

-The service is very friendly and genuine
-They have loaners available should you need one
-They serve beverage and food while you are waiting

I own a 2001 Subaru Outback. In March of 2009, I smelled oil burning. I told my husband, who also noticed the smell. We had been taking both of our vehicles to this shop for the past 3 years or so. I brought it in and was told that my timing belt was skipping because my water pump had a crack in it, and was leaking on the belt. I was also told that I needed my O seal and Cam seals replaced as they were leaking oil, thus producing the burning smell. We agreed to the amount of work reccommended, and paid about $1,200. I continued to smell the burning smell.

My husband took the car in on Columbus Day to have an alignment, balance, oil change, and to have it checked since the burning smell never went away. He was told it would be all done within 2 hours, and he decided to wait for it. 6 HOURS LATER...they realized he was sitting there still, and they hadn't done anything, but to locate that the head gasket was leaking. Apparently, the mechanic left the paperwork on a service manager's desk, who knew my husband was there, who never came to speak with him, but instead left him there waiting. My husband also learned that back in March, the mechanic suspected a head gasket leak, yet never told anyone, until after we had paid for the work and left. He documented it in the computer, AFTER we had recieved a write up of all his work (which I will explain momentarily never happened).

When my husband asked for a quote to fix my head gasket, he was told $2,600-$2,800 just for the head gasket repair. Seeing that this was extremely high and would this be better to just buy a new Subaru, my husband took the car to Dulles Subaru, Kia, Jeep. The head gasket repair, 4 new tires installed, balanced, aligned, new O2 sensor, new Cam seals, new O ring, oil change, new spark plugs, and a fuel injection service totaled $2,100.

G&C Express Auto is taking advantage of people. When the Subaru tech looked at my car, he discoverd that the $1,200 worth of work we paid G&C to complete, was not done. They charged us parts and labor for new Cam Seals, New O ring, and a new timing belt. They put my timing belt on incorrectly, so it was skipping, they NEVER replaced the O ring or Cam Seals, because I have the original Subaru parts from 2001 in a box that the Dulles tech gave me, thus proving that G&C stole money from us for parts and labor that were never done.

I own Saunders Landscape Supply in Chantilly, Virginia. We have a fleet of 3 International trucks which are used to deliver landscaping materials. G & C Express Auto Service has done 100 percent of the preventive maintenance and repair on these trucks since April, 2005. Scott Fardwell, General Manager, and Gregg Caldwell, Owner are excellent to do business with. Their staff is trained to go the extra mile to ensure that we have the best maintained trucks on the road. Is your mechanic perfect? Neither is mine. Their mistakes are infrequent, but when made they immediately acknowledge them and correct the deficiency. G&C Express Auto understands the importance of quick turnaround and minimizes our downtime. I consider myself very fortunate to be one of their clients and would refer anyone to them without hesitation.

My experience with G&C has been very good. The staff is very kind, professional, and treat you like your family.They have a clean waiting room with Internet, T.V., and free sodas. They will pick you up at work and drop you off, or give you a free loaner car and most importantly they fix your car right the first time. I have seen shops that cost a little less but when its all said and done you end up paying more or not getting your problem fixed. I would recommend G&C to all my friends.

G and C fixes everything, adds new whistles and bells (back up alarms, cameras, new locks, latches, fuel tank work, they have done it all for me). They know what they are doing, fix it fast, stay late when I'm desperate to keep a truck on the road, mind my fleet while I'm vacation, and keep me in business. Prices are competitive, they look for the inexpensive solution first, and they hold my hand all the way. Kenny tracks my maintenance requirements so I know when oil changes and service should be done, they alert me to warranty issues that the dealer will fix for free

G & C Auto is just that place and I'm so happy I found them. I get outstanding service and I know I can trust these folks to do an outstanding job. Not once have I had a problem with any work done on my car. In times like these, it's good to know that my money is spent in a place that does the job right the first time. Their prices are very competitive. I understand, also, that the owner is very involved in the community and that's important to me as a member of this neighborhood. It's not everyday you find a business owner with a strong sense of community. I strongly recommend this auto service. And the shop is spotless. As the owners of G&C, Christina & I try to respond to any negative reviews - we work very hard to deliver exceptional service to all of the great customers that choose to use G&C. We also use this feedback to learn from and correct any issues that come up. With out a doubt we could have done better in the handling of Jenny and her husbands vehicle - especially on the communication side, keeping them up to date on status and conditions. We did allow Jenny's husband to wait to long on Saturday. No excuse - we blew it! On the head-gasket portion - we did the digging and contacted a Subaru dealer to lay the ground work for getting some of the repair if not all of it paid for under warranty. As for being billed for work not completed... We had some seals that were in question by the dealer, seeing how we did not give them the best customer service are know for - I refund the dollar amount he requested, no questions asked. Finger pointing at this point would have done no one any good. Jenny - I do apologize for the (not like G&C) experience and hope you would look at your review and realize it was harsh. G&C has free loaner cars with a repairs. They only auto repair shop that gives you the owners home phone number. I have been using them for over 5 years. Scott the store manager is great to work with. One of the only true family owned auto repair businesses in the area. You are in god hands at G&C.
