The people are friendly.
I'm very disappointed because I am trying to grow my hair out and I went in for a trim. I explained this carefully to my stylist. She did a preliminary snip to make sure it was what I wanted, and it was fine, but she ended up cutting off twice as much as she had started with. Furthermore, the cut itself isn't even that good.
Not worth the price.

I've been going to Act II for color and cut for at least five years. What kept me coming back was that my stylist always did exactly what I wanted -- color and cut-wise. When my stylist moved away, I was a little anxious about anyone else playing with my hair, but my new stylist is fabulous! I recommend them to anyone. I don't think the prices our out of line with the going rate elsewhere, but the service is just what I want. It'o nice to have a really great salon so conveniently located.

Act II Salon at Braddock Road in Fairfax, across the street from George Mason University, has become my favorite place to get my hair done the last 4 years. The stylists are very skilled and professional at what they do. Prices are reasonable and service is great. They use the best color products, my highlights have been always better. They just hired more experience stylists who have been working around fairfax area for a long time. And in the a month or 2, they will have nail services. Come by and try them out, you will be impressed. Also, they give student discount if you show them your student ID.
