I thought that Jeeves Handyman was incredibly professional and helpful! About two years ago I had a flood in my basement and they came out and gave me a great deal on the repair work. The technician they sent out was amazing, neat and dependable. My basement looks better than it ever did!

Since then, I have probably used them 5 or 6 times for other smaller projects, ranging from drywall and painting to some plumbing in my bathroom. I have never been dissatisfied with any of their services. Every time that I call, they are able to get a tech out to me within a matter of days (once that same day!)

I would definitely recommend their services and I know that I will be using them again. It is very nice to have one number to call when pretty much anything goes wrong at my house...especially since I know my husband would have no idea how to fix anything! I think they are a wonderful company and if you haven't tried them, give it a shot!

I just had the most amazing experience with Jeeves! I called with a serious plumbing leak that sprung up and I didn;t know what to do- they sent someone out basically right away to fix it for me. Then we waited a few days to be sure the leak was gone and then the same tech came out to fix the drywall for me! On top of that, it was completely reasonably priced! I will definitely be using them again.

I got a bunch of quotes to get my master bathroom re-done, but Jeeves was by far the best deal I was offered. It was going to be a lot of work and I was nervous because you hope all along that in the end it will turn out the was you saw it in your head. But, I put my trust in these guys and they did NOT disappoint.

I wanted to start fresh so they tore everything out of my old bathroom and started from scratch. Everyday it just got better and better. I didn't feel uncomfortable leaving the guys working if I had to head out for errands or to pick up my kids. They were very pleasant and professional.

When the job was done, not only did the bathroom look amazing, but they cleaned everything up and had me double check everything to make sure everything was how i wanted it to be. Granted, it didn't look how i had envisioned it...IT LOOKED BETTER!

I have never used Jeeves Handyman for smaller jobs, but they were absolutely amazing when they came out for my bathroom job!

i was extremely impressed with the quality of service here. i am a working mother of 3 and my schedule can get pretty chaotic. it was so great to hear when i called jeeves that they were able to come out on a saturday to take care of a few things around my house.

they gave me an estimate over the phone and when the handyman came to fix everything that weekend, he did a great job! he was neat, efficient and he didn;t appear to get flustered even though my kids were asking him all kinds of handyman questions!

i had a great experience with jeeves and i would use them again. thanks jeeves! :)

Jeeves Handyman Services did a good job on my home. They were trustworthy and efficient. I liked the way that their office called to check on everything after the handyman left. I didn't have anything to difficult done, just a few light fixtures and switches replaced, but everything looks really nice now.

I am so happy that I found Jeeves Handyman Services to help me take care of all of the work that I needed to have done around the house. I was under the impression that it would end up costing me way more than my budget allowed to have everything done, but when I found Jeeves, all of my worries were put to rest! The office assured me that a knowledgeable technician would come out to look at everything in my house and not start until I gave the green light - which is exactly what happened!

First, I wanted them to look at some rooms that needed to be painted upstairs. The handyman was able to give me a perfectly reasonable price and when he actually came to do the work, he did a phenomenal job. He even put a nice coat of primer on the doors and frames to give it that extra fresh, glossy look. I was very impressed.

Second, I needed to have a patch of drywall removed and replaced in my basement because I guess there was a leak coming from the bathroom above that spot. Well, I didn't really think much to have them check the bathroom, but when they saw the water damage to the drywall, they immediately went to the bathroom and found the problem - and fixed it ON THE SPOT! Then they went and fixed the drywall for me. It was so great knowing that they were honest about fixing the toilet too, ionstead of just doing the drywall and then hving me call again in a few months to have it re-done. You don't find honesty like that too often nowadays!

Finally, I needed a few little things done around the house - one of my light fixtures wouldn't always turn on when I flipped the switch always and then I needed two faucets replaced - one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. The handyman even came with me to to Home Depot to help me pick out faucets that are reliable and cost-effective!

Ultimately, I had a great experience with Jeeves Handyman Services. I have already recommended them to some of my friends and neighbors, and from what I hear, they have all had the great experience that I did. That's why I wanted to spread the word to you too - Jeeves is the way to go for anything you need done around the house! I know I'll be using them again next time I need something done around the house!

I have had the hardest time trying to find a good handyman ever since I moved into this area 2 years ago. Finally, a neighbor referred me to Jeeves a few weeks ago, but I was skeptical at first given how bad my other experiences have been around here.

However, I was pleasantly surprised with how nice and helpful they were on the phone when I called. Then, they set me up with a great deal and when the handyman came to work on my house, he did a FABULOUS job! He was on time, he did a great job, and he didn't even charge me extra for the materials he went to go buy for me! I'm definitely going to be sticking with these guys for all my handyman needs...it is refreshing to finally find an honest company around here!

I had some small painting and things I needed to get done in the apartment I just moved into. I'm a bit lazy and though I could've did it myself, I figured a professional would be better. I called Jeeves and they were on time and quite professional. Those in the office were pleasant and the technician was also kind. I was quite pleased and will be using them again.

My husband is in the military so we have moved around a lot and have experienced MANY different housing situations. Anyone in the military knows housing is not always the best. So we are not very demanding or high maintenance people. When we moved into our most recent home we were given a heads up about the situation. To make a long story short- we put in a lot more time and money into the home than we had expected. We also dealt with many different contractors, many of them not ending on a good note. With my husband getting ready to be deployed there were some other things to be addressed besides our home. With our stress levels running high we did not want to deal with the god awful wallpaper which was in several rooms. On one of my last attempts to fix the walls a friend told me she recently had her bathroom redone. She was very pleased with the work and encouraged me to call Jeeves Handyman. I made the phone call and the work was done within a week. The thing I loved most about the company is that they were able to work with my not so flexible schedule. Jeeves Handyman took care all the things which were left over. They did a fantastic job.

I found Jeeves Handyman in Clipper magazine. I decided to give them a call since I was looking for a new handyman. They seemed like a friendly, honest company so I decided to make an appointment. I had a list of a few items such as: replace recess lights, other light fixtures, minor painting, moving a few sofas and weather stripping on several doors. The company sent out 2 guys to do the work. They were polite, clean, on time and did not waste anytime getting things done. You could tell English was their second language but there were no communication issues. Before they left I asked them about a few items. They gave me a quote and were able to offer suggestions. Looks like I found my new handyman.

My husband and I today availed of the services of Jeeves Handyman Services to carry downstairs to our basement a double-vanity. When my husband called them the day before to get a price estimate, he was told the minimum charge is $200 for 2 hours. The workers came today to do the job and it took them around 10 minutes or so to finish the job. When it came time to pay for the bill, my husband asked the workers how much should he pay, and one of the workers said that he was talking to his boss on the cell phone to determine the price. Thereafter, the bill he gave my husband was for $100. My husband then wrote a check in the amount that they indicated on the bill and we thought that the rate wasn't as expensive as we thought. By the way, the worker could not even spell the word Moving correctly. He wrote it as "MOVIN" on the invoice. Shameful. After maybe half-an-hour, my husband receives a call from this rude lady who works for the company and informed him that the bill should have been $200. My husband explained to her that the worker gave him a bill for $100, and told her what the worker told him -- which was that the worker was on the phone with his boss to determine the price of the bill, and thereafter gave my husband the bill for $100. However, this arrogant staff member insisted and insinuated that my husband was trying to cheat their company. My husband was trying to calmly explain to her again what occurred, and he said that he is happy to pay for the remaining balance and to just send him the bill. I believe I overheard my husband repeat this conversation with this indignant and rude staff member a couple of times before the phone conversation ended. After about 10 minutes, my husband called the company again and asked to speak with the manager to express his dissatisfaction on the poor way the staff member treated him as a customer who already paid the bill, and who stated that he is willing to pay for whatever the remaining balance was -- notwithstanding the fact that it was their illiterate moving staff who charged us $100 instead of the alleged $200. Coincidentally, it was that same ignorant staff member who answered the phone. My husband was transferred to the owner. It sounded at first as if the owner was also trying insinuate that my husband tried to cheat them of their money. My husband for the nTH time explained what occurred when he asked for the bill. He was even kind enough to let the owner speak, but it sounded like when my husband was trying to explain and express his dissatisfaction at how he was treated AS A PAYING CUSTOMER, this owner kept on interrupting him and not giving him the chance to explain. My husband explained that he was not trying to be rude to that female staff member. However, she should not have insinuated that my husband was trying to cheat their business of money. It was simply inappropriate and poor customer service on their part. Finally the owner said that they will just send us a bill for $50 instead of the additional $100. That still does not hide the fact that the staff of this company is completely and utterly incompetent.

My twins just started to become mobile so they are crawling all over my house. I found an advertisement from Jeeves in the paper which said they give discounts for new and expecting families. I called to find out more info. A few days later a guy from Jeeves came out and baby proofed my house. He installed baby gates, outlet covers, special covers for my door knobs and baby proofed all the low cabinets. He did a great job! I have already referred them to some of my friends!

I use them for things you might find on a 'honey-do list' such as installing blinds, curtain rods, hanging heavy pictures and installing towel racks-I tried installing some racks in the bathroom and it turned out to be a lot harder than it looked. So to save me some time and stress I call Jeeves to take care of them for me.

My mom had been talking about redoing her bedroom for some time. As a surprise when my mom went out of town my brother and I made a few phone calls to redo her bedroom. After getting all the estimates I felt most comfortable with Jeeves Handyman so I asked them to do the work. The techs repainted the walls, installed crown molding and helped me rearrange the furniture. Not only was my mom surprised but we were both satisfied with the work. The work also didn't break my budget : )

We called Jeeves to do a repair on a window that was leaking water. After having been given several estimates we decided to go with Jeeves because of their low price. The man came out and replaed some outside trim on our house and recaulked around the window. After he was finished he handed my wife the receipt from home depot for the materials and told her she had to pay him in cash right now for the materials. When my wife said she didnt have that much cash on her around 200 i beleive he stated he would go with her to an ATM that he couldnt complete his next job without the money and that would be her fault. So she went to an ATm and got him the money .She then noticed that the trim hadnt been painted she asked why not? Was then told that would be an extra 2 hrs labor plus he would need paint and supplies which she would have to pay for and he couldnt do that then anyway. To top it all off its raining today and my window area still leaks!!! Well to add more to my review I left a few days ago I finally was able to get in touch with Mark whom I am assuming is the owner and told him I still had the same problem as before he stated he would have the same technician come out and recheck his work but if any other work needed to be done we would be responsible for paying for it !!!! so they not only never completed first repairs but are now going to try to charge us again!!! he refused to speak to me on the phone and said I could only talk to the (obviously sub contractor) person who did the work. Also forgot to mention that we were charged $200 more than the estimate we were given.

On 7/14/08, Jeeves was employed to replace rake boards on the roof. The service crew had difficulty in communicating effectively in English; it was very difficult to determine what they wanted and why they were delayed. Finally, a project manager called and explained that they required us to pay them a sum of $200 in cash or check in order for them to procure supplies to begin the repair. Although we found this to be extraordinarily unusual and unprofessional, we gave them a check, and they continued with the repair. They should have used company petty cash, as is standard, to provide their own supplies, then presented us with a single invoice at the completion of the repair. When we received the invoice, with receipts for materials, we discovered that they did not use the paint we specified, as required by the HOA, but used a different paint entirely, gambling on a color match. Finally, instead of taking the rotted rake boards with them for disposal, they left them, partially hidden under the shrubberies behind our deck, with nails still in the boards.

I called Jeeves?? office to explain the situation, and was told that a technician would be calling me that day. 24 hours later, no call, so I called again. The female who answered the phone did not identify herself; when I asked her name, she said in a surly tone that ??this was Jeeves? and I didn??t need to know her name. I explained that I had called previously about some work that had been performed, gave the address, and asked for a manager??s name and to speak with that person. She refused to give me a name, and I was incredulous as I verified that she was refusing to provide the name of her manager. She finally said his name was Mark, but that he was gone. I asked for his last name, which she refused to provide, so I asked for his direct contact information, which she also refused to provide, before hanging up on me!

I called back, identified myself, and advised her that we are members of Angie??s List, and that we would be forced to write a negative report about their company if we didn??t get a satisfactory response. I asked (again) politely for her name. She told me she didn??t care if I was part of Angie??s List, and began loudly haranguing me for my ostensible ??rudeness.? I asked once again for her manager??s last name so that I could contact him directly. She refused to provide either his last name or his contact information, telling me insolently that he was out with his kids, and, as though I should have known, that there was only one number to Jeeves??. She did, however, identify herself, at last, as Samantha.

I stated that we had spent almost a thousand dollars on a repair and still had boards with nails in them on our property, and that as an unhappy customer, I expected someone to listen to my concerns and address them, and be willing to provide contact information for a company manager. She raised her voice again and began yelling how rude I was, at which point I snapped, telling her that if she didn??t start listening, I was going to rip her a new one. Admittedly, THAT was rude. Until that point, however, I had been amazingly restrained in the face of an obstructive, surly, unwilling receptionist. We will NOT use their services again due to the unpleasantness of the office help, and the tremendous difficulty we experienced in receiving an appropriate response to our very legitimate concern.

I'd had a plumber fix a leaky pipe in my living room ceiling and then called Jeeves to do the drywall work. I set up an appointment and the nice Ukrainian repairman came at the specified time. He said it would take 4 hours. It did. He was courteous and incredibly neat. No dust or dirt remained after the job. The only issue was that he painted the new drywall patch white and my ceiling is beige but that's easy enough to paint over.

Overall, good job. I'd use them again.

I call them in a couple of times a year to take care of my to-do list for home repairs, like caulking, painting, broken door knobs, lose wires..
This time, I had a leak from "somewhere" that stained the ceiling about the dining room, and I couldn't find the source...
The Jeeves guy took 5 minutes to locate the leak behind the bathtub, replaced a fitting, stopped the leak. I then had him patch and repaint the stain below.
I have been consistently satisfied with their work, never any hassles, and they always quickly complete what i need them to do.

I made an appointment to have a 2-man team come to my townhouse to re-attach an approximately 3-foot length of flashing that had blown loose during a wind storm and to check the other flashing on our home to make sure it was tight.

The owner, Mark, seemed very nice...told me the rate was usually $140/hr for a 2-man crew, but that there was a special, so it would only be $100/hr. The crew arrived at the appropriate time and made the repair. Both men on the crew were very nice. The job took 1 hour. When I was presented with the bill, it was for $205.00, because according to the crew lead there is a 2-hour minimum. Well, no one told me about the 2-hour minimum. When I called back to the office to inquire, I spoke with Samantha who said that indeed there was a 2-hour minimum and that Mark, being the owner, would have surely disclosed that to me...well he must have had a bad day because he DIDN"T. Samantha was curt at best and resisted...but then relented a bit and asked what she could do. I told her that she could charge me for one hour. She said grudingly that the best she could do was $140 + $5 materials. She said now only one of the men would get paid. While I still wasn't pleased by this apparent "fast one," I tried to be pleasant and thanked her. Before I could get the words out, she hung up on me...real nice!

First, the 2-hr minimum should have been disclosed to me.

Second, the pricing should not have been switched like it was just a game. I was quoted $100/hr for 2 men...no minimum stated. The price should have stayed at that.

Third, for argument's sake, if I were entitled to/forced to accept 2-hours I could have found something else for them to do...but, of course, was not given the chance.

Fourth, without anyone checking with Mark, I should have been shown some respect...after all, I am the customer. The worker in a quiet, calm way said that no one would come there for that small a job/amount (not according to their website though). Samantha the secy acted like I was flat out lying (I'm 59 and was raised not to lie...obviously something that the company can't claim) and was extraordinarily abrupt and rude. I was told the manager wouldn't be back in town until the end of November (vacation) so I would not be ain position to discuss the matter with him until it would certainly be gone from his mind.

In all, a terrible experience. I would not recommend them at all for anything. What it appears they do is lie about the minimum, then get the work done quickly to maximize the overcharge profit. It's not the cost so much that's the issue, though we definitely aren't your typical well-off Fairfax County family; it's the lack of honesty and integrity...and certainly the lack of politeness and respect apparent in dealing with the group.

PER MY EXPERIENCE, DO NOT USE JEEVES HANDYMAN OF FALLS CHURCH!

I didn't know that it was that easy to solve my plumbing problem. It has been on going, unstoppable and I was almost going to give up on it until I tried out Jeeves . It was recommended by a friend.
My 6months problem with the leak was fixed in 2hours. Very satisfied.

I contacted them to set an appointment. A few days later they left a message on the machine to ask for a change of time. I saw no reason to change the time because we had already agreed on the time. When I didn't call them back, they canceled the appointment. I called them to complain. The manager was rude and discouteous. I will never do business with them again.

Would definitely recommend Jeeves Handyman Services. Their employees were very informative and patient when I asked questions about tiling, as well as honest about quoting me a price (no run around, which is great). The workers they sent for redoing the tiling in my kitchen were prompt, hard working, and clean. What more could you ask for?

PROS: Honest , professional

It's very nice to deal with a business that does what it says it is going to do, and when. There were no surprises, and no unexpected charges. Jeeves did a good job taking care of my plumbing problems. The man they sent was very professional, and showed up on time.

He did the job, cleaned up, got paid and was out of the house in no time. The pricing was fair. I'd recommend Jeeves Handyman Services to anyone who wants a job well-done.
