Superior service, food, and beverage. In Richmond on business and never expected to find such high quality dining at a reasonable price for the quality and service.Thaddeus was great; kept the pace of appetizer through after dinner coffee

I was reading some of the reviews for Flemings and I just cannot believe that these people were in the same restaurant that I love. My husband and I look forward to our nights out to have drinks and dinner at Flemings and everything I have had has been Wonderful. Some of my favorite items are the Seared Ahi Tuna and the Calamari appetizers. All of their steaks are incredible and just last weekend I had the Seared Ahi Tuna Entree...WOW! This restaurant is one of the top restaurants in Richmond by far and worth a visit.
Mark and Luke are behind the bar most nights and do a wonderful job if you prefer bar seating.

One last note...I tried their fresh berries dessert with fresh whipped cream....Fabulous ending. Try it!

Yesterday I had the worse experience I've ever had at this establishment. I WAS (and I do mean WAS) a very current patron of this restuarant, but I will never eat there again. The staff were the rudest I've ever experienced on this day. I was refused service because I had attended to wait either at the bar or on the patio until they were open for the evening. Apparantely they thought I had been drinking (not true) because I slipped on a curb while getting out of my car. I was told they would not allow me to eat their last night. Even though I've always enjoyed the food there, the food is overpriced and the quantity of the food makes the price not worth it. It is good food though and I have always enjoyed it. BUT NO MORE, I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE EMBARRASSED IN MY LIFE. They have lost a good customer and I intend to spread the word to everyone I know. Instead I ate at the Bistro at Stony Point Parkway for the first time and it was excellent. FLEMMINGS will never get my business again. And by the way, there are far better steakhouses in Richmond, Va: Top of the list Buckheads off Parham Rd., Morton's downtown, and as always Ruth CHris on Hugonet Rd. Flemings is just the one closest to my location ! And just one more comment for you???I am diabetic and I needed food, your establishment could have allowed me to sit on their outdoor patio for 30 minutes until they opened and I could have dinner???that???s all I wanted to do. And if I was of a certain kind of person I???d sue from tripping on that curb I spoke of in my earlier email to you. Again, I am expecting to compensated from the embarrassment of all of this. A coupon for the best dinner available would suffix. I can not tell you how upset I am over this !! Since I had to rate the restuarant with a ""star"", I gave it the lowest possible...actually they deserved a zero in this case !

Look, I almost never go out for steak because steak is something I can do well at home. But Flemings, in my experience, is marginally better than the other chains in the high-price steakhouse category so I elected to go along with the crowd. That said, on this visit, three out of four of the steaks served to our party were significantly overdone. I returned mine and it came back way overdone a second time. My fellow diners soldiered through their meals, not wanting to further disrupt the evening. I gave up, and the waiter did take the steak off the $400 check. Still, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. At these prices, one expects and deserves total dining satisfaction. I'm not sure Flemings is up to the task. My advice... buy a Weber and grill at home. You'll be hundreds ahead...

I just read over the other reviews for this restaurant and am truly shocked by the negative reviews. I have nothing but positive things to say about Fleming's. I have eaten at Copper Grill and their prices are higher, the waitstaff hovers, and the atmosphere is poor. At Fleming's you are treated like a millionaire. The service is incredible and the food is out of this world. My first visit was for my birthday and they took a photo and gave me a box of candy gratis. The price is about the same as Ruth's Chris but the food is better. Highly recommended for a special occasion. As to one of the reviews where the customer's napkin was folded, this is attentive service, not rudeness, and is something I have experienced at the finest restaurants in Europe.

A piece of meat in the middle of a white plate, looks unappetizing. They even forgot the sauce for the steak. Then they showed poor manners by refolding my napkin while I was in the restroom! Where did this rude practice start?! What did I get for all that money spent there? Disappointed.

Pros: Parking convenience

Cons: Tense, dry, same product cheaper elsewhere

I love steak, and it was my husbands turn to pick our weekly date night restaurant. He picked Flemings. Its got a nice dark atmosphere (which I love), but its very loud. He requested a booth when he made a reservation, which they made sure they got us. The GM came to us mid-way through our meal to make sure all was well. The server was great. Caesar salad was so-so. The steak was good, but I thought Mortons steak was better. I had the seasonal pumpkin bread pudding for dessert and it was delicious. Of course, I LOVE pumpkin and I LOVE bread pudding, so you have to like that stuff in order to appreciate it. Overall, it was good, maybe even a little better than good, but didn't make me jump and down by any means.

Pros: service

Cons: loud

It's a nice enough place, but Copper Grill at Short Pump Mall is MUCH better - better food, ambience, service, and value. Note that they do not grill their steaks here. They broil them and put butter on them, like Ruth Chris. Copper Grill will really grill your steak - the way steak was meant to be eaten.

Pros: convenient location at Stony Pointe mall

Cons: overpriced; atmosphere is lacking (sorry, but don't care for Dave Matthews playing in the background when I'm paying so much for dinner)

.

Average filet and below average salmon. Baked potato and mashed potatoes were also very ordinary. Service was average to slow, even though there were only a few others having dinner. Better food and service at their cheaper chain, Outback - and, just about all of the other chains (Topekas, Hops, even Lone Star). There was nothing really bad, just nothing great either, and certainly nothing to justify their prices. Don't understand how they get away with it when there are so many other places to go in the area, although at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, they were almost empty and maybe others are also going elsewhere. Finally, it really is distractive to have the flatware immediately removed, and the table wiped down, after each course.

Pros: Not many people there, not busy, didn't have to wait for a table.

Cons: Ordinary food, below average service, with higher than normal prices.

We had reservations (about 5 or 6 weeks in advance) for aour anniversary. We arrived a few minutes early and were told our table would be ready ""in a few minutes."" We decided to have a drink at the bar. The bartender was so busy he was literally throwing ice (Some landed in my lap.) trying to keep up. We were finally seated 1 hour and 15 minutes later. Needless to say, but this ruined the entire meal. The only saving grace (as the food was only mediocre) was our wonderful waitress. She was the only bright spot in the entire evening.

Pros: Our waitress

Cons: EVERYTHING else!

We had an amazing dinner for fourteen people in one of the private dining rooms. Fleming's is great for groups. I had heard that it can be noisy but the private room was quiet and we had great conversation. The wine list is the best in Richmond. I had a different wine with each course and the steaks are heaven. I can't wait to go back!

Pros: private diningroom, great atmosphere, huge wine selection

Flemings is quite pricey, but the steaks are seriously great. We had a bone-in filet mignon that was to die for, and a NY strip that was very good. Unfortunately, the side dishes are ala carte and nothing special. The wine list is amazing and probably one of the largest in the area, tons of wines by the glass to choose from which is nice if your the only wine drinker. Personally, I liked the decor and atmosphere at Flemings, but wouldn't expect an intimate dinner there as it can be a bit loud and busy.

There is nothing we could say about this restaurant that was not good! Some of the best prime rib we had ever had! We will go back!

Fleming's is an excellent restaurant. The steak I had could quite literally be described as melt in your mouth. The noise level is a bit high, but if you go with just one other person it is perfectly easy to converse. The wine selection was amazing and the servers know what to recommend with each dish. There are wines for every budget. It may seem expensive, but it is worth every penny.

The only good point of Flemings is its excellently prepared steaks. Its incredible noise level makes conversation virtually impossible except for shouting to the person next to you. Wine is two or three times what it should be, and the rest of the menu is pricey, too. Could call this an expense account restaurant but I would never take a business client here because of the inability to engage in conversation, given the noise level.
