I love waldenbooks and I would just like the world to know that I am very sad the they pulled out of our area. I feel that they let us down. I will be honest I was not a very strong reader untill about our 3 years ago.. Since then I have read more than i have in my 42 yrs. I have bought 57 books since then..alot of them came from waldenbooks I think it is a sham that they are not in our area. The only place I have to go to buy books now is Wal-Mart . Give me a break.Or I have to drive 45 mins to go to a Barns and Noble (this is not fair) WALDENs please come back We need you.. OUR MINDS and OUR HEARTS need you.Come back please..Your Greatest Fan Teresa

I've been here to buy books several times. The store is attractive looking and well layed out. They have a large selection of just about everything and it's not hard to find what you are looking for. They are not overpriced and will order what you are looking for upon request.

Being an avid reader - and Waldenbooks in the Liberty Fair Mall being our only local bookstore - I've spent many hours browsing their shelves, and many dollars on titles that I just couldn't leave behind.

The store is somewhat smaller than most mall bookstores, but well laid-out with new releases and popular titles in the very front of the store where they're quite hard to miss. A large selection of periodicals is also available near the front of the store. Further back, books are arranged in categories to make your search easier - history, cooking, self-help, etc. They have an impressive selection of children's books, considering the size of the store, and there are always great deals to be found on the clearance shelves.

The staff at Waldenbooks is generally friendly and helpful. If you don't have time to search the stacks for a particular book, they're happy to do a quick search on the store's computer and locate the book for you, and if it is not in stock, they always offer to order it for you, having it in the store within a few days.

Books are expensive, and the prices are no different at Waldenbooks; however, when you just can't wait to lay your hands on a particular title, bookstores are wonderful for instant gratification. Because there are so many shelves in such limited space, this store isn't entirely stroller-friendly, but it can be managed with some determination.

PROS: Clean, well laid out; very good selection; helpful staff.
CONS: Somewhat crowded.
